We have just returned from a weekend away at this beautiful villa for a family weekend away. Beautiful location with spectacular scenery on the drive in. The villa has the wow factor. Home from home, the hosts have thought of everything and we couldn’t think of a single improvement except for a guest book so we could write our positive thoughts and recommendations in person of places to visit in the area for other visitors to read. The kids loved the park, ducks and football court, they also loved reading in the villa and playing board games which were all in the villa to use. Myself and my partner enjoyed walking around the site and spending quality time as a family. We couldn’t recommend this villa or hosts more highly and we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could make forever memories to treasure. Stephanie, Scott and family 🙏🏻

We would really like to thank Paula and Robert for such a great stay - they were brilliant hosts that went over and above to make sure we had a great experience. I would highly recommend staying here, the cottage is beautiful and well looked after, the scenery is also stunning. We felt very relaxed even with a toddler! We are already planning a time to return, thanks again!

What a beautiful location, 1 mile to the nearest road, right on the cliff top overlooking the sea, with a woodland and coastal path right outside. Slight issue with the Aga on arrival, but Fiona came out with backup kettle and stove, and the offer of a night in separate accommodation. And the Aga was fixed the next day and by the evening we were enjoying a roast dinner in a lovely warm cottage. The views from every window are just amazing. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, especially by our 2 year old Springer, Max. We hope to be back in the future.

From minute 1 of booking this amazing lodge David was extremely responsive and friendly. This gave us a warm idea of what was to come. Upon arrival we were then greeted by another very kind and welcoming lady (didn’t catch her name sorry) who shown us into the perfect cottage with extreme politeness. The lodge was filled with everything needed, hot tub was warm on arrival, TV was huge and could be rotated (can even face the hottub. This was a bonus for us as we are movie geeks 👍🏽 The kitchen was stunning and some essentials were provided that we actually forgot to bring (salt, pepper, oil). Cannot fault a single bit of the stay. Immaculate. The outside porch was tremendous too. It is closed off nice so that even when you’re in or out the hot tub you feel 0 draft. Upon leaving we spoke to 3 lovely ladies, 2 cleaners and 1 other lady who was also super lovely (sorry no names again). I went with 12 family members and pictures don’t do justice to this fantastic spot! Absolutely would recommend to everyone. Very peaceful surroundings so many things to do inside and outside the lodge. Alan was really really helpful answered pretty much straightaway to every message I sent. Not a single cobweb in sight around the whole lodge and this place is huge! All the facilities and amenities you need are located within the house.

Beautiful cottage in the most idyllic surroundings 😍 Only thing that would have made it better is if we could have stayed longer. Our dogs loved it as much as we did, as did our cat who loved watching the horses opposite 🥰 Alexander was so helpful and responded quickly to every message 🙂

Had a lovely stay at the house, it provided everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The location was great and within walking distance of all amenities. we needed. We would definitely return.

Sarah was a great host! She was very responsive and the house was immaculate upon arrival. The house was very well located to make the most of the amazing surroundings. If anything was needed it was easy to get in touch with Sarah if we had any questions.

The perfect house for our family get together. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen, the games room was a hit, as was the hot tub! The house was warm with loads of hot water. Thank you!

We were a large group, and the house easily accommodated all of us. It was beautiful, equipped with all the amenities we needed, and conveniently close to the main attractions. Plus, having a Lidl right in front was a huge bonus. Siobhan was very friendly and helped us with local routes and recommendations. Highly recommend this place for a group stay!

If you are looking for off-the-beaten-track luxury with incredible wildlife, views of beautiful Loch Etive and the surrounding mountains which are second to none - then this is the place for you! Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay here and we were sad to leave. We highly recommend this Air BnB and we would love to visit again. Note: we were thankful to find teabags and coffee - but bring your own milk. ;)

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

We had a fantastic few days stay with a large family of 12 . Lots of space for us all . The home was absolutely beautiful & spotlessly clean . Would most definitely 100% recommend to anyone . Phoebe was a lucky host and very helpful and friendly

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible Airbnb, and it was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. The property was absolutely spotless—meticulously clean and well-maintained, which instantly made me feel at home. The interior is modern, with sleek, stylish furnishings that combine comfort and luxury perfectly. But the real highlight of this place is the view. You’re treated to stunning views of the countryside, which made for a peaceful and serene setting. The host was also incredibly welcoming and communicative, ensuring that everything was perfect during my stay. I couldn’t recommend this place enough—whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or a base to explore.

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings the sea can be seen from the front windows and only a few mins walk to the beach and local bars. Michael was responsive and always helpful. The property is big and has all you’ll need for an home from home experience. We are already looking at a return same time next year 👍🏻👍🏻

The property was spotless and very well appointed. We were welcomed on arrival by Murdo, Alison’s husband. There was a very nice welcome basket awaiting us containing wine, crisps, biscuits and other goodies. There was a comprehensive booklet covering the functionality of all the appliances as well as local attractions. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and hope we can return again in the future. Perfect location, perfect accommodation and perfect host!! Highly recommended!

Joannie’s place is beautiful, it feels like a home and has everything that you need with lots of space. It is perfect for both town and also a short walk from Ballyholme beach. Joannie is very responsive to any questions. Just perfect!

What an amazing cottage! The photos to not do this place justice. We were a family of 5 adults and one child and Glen cottage could not have met our needs more. Kate was an absolute delight to deal with, quick to reply, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. We were left some lovely wine, coffee and chocolates that came in very handy indeed. The Seaviews are stunning and only a short walk to the lovely Ballyholme beach. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything you could ever need from an air B and B and it was so warm with plenty of hot water for the weekend. It is a very peaceful setting and like another review said, there was enough space to be together as a family but also plenty of rooms if you wanted to be alone. It was really easy to get into Bangor as well as a great road up to Belfast. There is a coastal route signed outside the cottage which we really enjoyed. We cannot wait to return to Glen Cottage in the near future. It really was a 5 star stay :)

Lovely accommodation as described by the owner. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings with very friendly locals. We loved the nearby beautiful beach but steep hill to get to it which would not suit anyone with walking difficulties. Lots to do in nearby towns with our dog and ev charging available nearby in Montrose.

We stayed 8 days at Jamie. The house location was beautiful, you could paddle board from the garden at high tide; it was on walking distance to beautiful places to walk and swim and to the local shop. The property, kitchen and bedrooms were very well provided with everything you need for the stay including things to do on a rainy day (books, games, TV,..). All the family had a great time!!
