A super house for the family from 2 to 62! We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Although it blew a hoolie all the time we were there, it did not stop us playing in the garden and enjoying the hot tub. Local beaches are fantastic for kids and dog alike. A joy to find them so clean and unspoilt.

The house was perfect for 5 adults and 5 children for our 3 night stay: clean and comfortable, plenty of crockery and cutlery for all ten of us, a table that seated us all, a lounge we all wanted to take home, a garden for the children to play in, lambs to feed, what more could we want? Hand wash, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen. We parked 3 minutes down the road to kayak on the Loch and walked up the path to see Grey Mare's tail waterfall. There is a cafe and also toilets by the Loch. It was busy in the car park when we arrived on the Sunday, but ok after that. This is a great place for lovers of the outdoors. Bring a good book and games for the evenings and you're set up. We would all return to this lovely place.

A perfect home from home stay to spend with family. Thanks to Jane and her co hosts for the kind welcome basket :) The house is beautifully presented, clean and spacious. The hot tub was a fantastic addition to an already fantastic house! We were fortunate with the sunny warm weather so also to enjoy the spacious garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would 100% recommend to travellers looking for a large property to stay in just outside Edinburgh.

Amazing porters lodge, beautiful attention to detail, very comfortable. Hot tub was an absolute treat. All the facilities to cook during your stay. Perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend with some lovely walks on the doorstep. Will absolutely be back one day!

We had an amazing stay, the cottage is absolutely perfect and the hot tub was just what was needed after a long day exploring Northumberland on our Bikes. Mark even sorted us a BBQ to use during our stay which was really appreciated. We definitely book again :)

Welcoming host who communicated well - clear instructions and responded swiftly to messages. Nice little house in a quiet neighbourhood that was 5-minutes from the train station (we were a 10-minute train ride into Edinburgh centre). Also, within a 15-minute walk of grocery stores and takeaways. Parking was available (if needed) and Edinburgh Zoo was close by too.

We, a family of five, enjoyed wonderful four nights in the lovely House on the Hill which was exactly as described. A great plus was the tennis court, that was very well received by our children. Walking the dog was a great experience. We used the farm cottage to explore Scottish Borders, Northumberland and of course Edinburgh. We would certainly come back and highly recommend this lovely place!

We stayed in Amy’s house for 2 nights when competing in the local race. Place is as described in the ad. We had everything we needed. We liked the powerful hot shower!! Tv is tiny, size of the laptop. Didn’t bother us because we weren’t watching it, but if that’s what you wanted it wouldn’t be ideal. It’s a great value for money! With local shop, restaurant and takeaways within few minutes.

A great stay, we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and private garden area. The walk to the water falls behind the property was superb for our dog and the kids loved it. Bellingham is a great location for getting to Kielder. We would love to visit again!

Lovely apartment, had everything we needed for our stay. Spotlessly clean and lovely neutral decor. Hot tub was great and the back garden is really private. Would definitely return!

Fantastic comfortable wee flat with an amazing view, the deck is a perfect sun trap. Terry and Aimee were great hosts, very accommodating and responsive to messages before and during our stay.

A very cosy appartment, we felt right at home. It's central and everything in Peebles is within walking distance. Can highly recommend.

We had a really lovely stay! Place was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The views from the lodge were amazing and could sit outside watching the sheep and horses. The hot tub was an added bonus On our second night we went to the local pub called The Craws Inn - food was amazing Easy to drive to St Abb’s and Eyemouth from where we stayed. Thank you for a great stay!

Do not miss the chance to stay at this beautiful lodge! Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Even lovelier than the pictures and everything provided is high quality from kitchen equipment to bedding. The reservoir at the bottom of the hill is perfect for swimming and the bath on the veranda is a gorgeous way to relax in the evening and watch the stars. Mitchel was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I cannot recommend East Rigg Lodges highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Me and my boyfriend had a gorgeous 2 night stay here for my birthday and wow we can’t stop talking about it! Thank you so much for accommodating us last minute. Tamika was helpful and instructions were thorough. This is such a gorgeous hidden gem, nice and peaceful for a get away. The little touches inside really make the difference, was immaculate and so cosy. I would recommend bringing some slide on shoes if using the hot tub as the pebbles hurt to walk barefoot back to the hut (ha my own fault). Perfect location, had what we needed and the swing gave us some laughs and memories I won’t forget. Thankyou tamika I would definitely come back!

Stunning inside and out. You come up the track and see the place and it's better than advertised honestly. When you're inside looking out the views are pretty special. You've just got wildlife on your decking from morning till night from numerous birds, grouse, Highland cows, goats and Jess the cat. The welcome pack we received was a nice touch with fresh eggs for the morning, proseco and ginger beer. Also a ready made fire in the log burner too. Plus they bobbed down for a chat to see how we were getting on. Laura gave us local recommendations for restaurants and what was happening that weekend in surrounding towns. We only stayed the weekend but plan to stay longer next time. It's quite a gem.

Great stay at the Wigwam glamping site! Excellent facilities to enjoy the great outdoors such as hot tub and fire pit/BBQ. Very responsive hosts and beautiful surroundings to explore the Scottish Borders and East Lothian
