I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

I had a wonderful stay. There has been some storm damage to the hut I was due to stay in so Linda called me and let me know she had plenty of other options and put me in a wonderful alternative hut. The hut was spotless, warm (with enough wood to keep me warm all weekend) and cosy. Linda was very friendly and responsive. Moonfleet is a beautiful place to spend some time away from normal life and feel in the country side. I can’t wait to go back!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! The shepherds hut is a wonderful retreat into a peaceful and very relaxing world where you can take life at your own pace. This beautiful and secluded setting gives you the chance to be free. We spent many relaxing mornings and contemplative evenings relaxing in the garden both in and out of the hot tub, laying in the hammocks or just sitting on the recliners. The bed was super cosy and comfortable and with hidden storage under, bags and cases can be tucked away and we never felt cramped. Well equipped with a clever oven which is also a microwave we were happy to cook meals inside. As it was warm for April we also made use of the BBQ which had all tools provided. Fiona is a wonderful host who makes super cookies 😊 and provided a warm welcome. There if you need her but never intrusive.

We have just returned home from a wonderful stay at Moonfleet. Our two young sons had such a fun time seeing all the animals and having lots of space to ride their bikes, they were always busy off exploring! The shepherd’s hut was very homely and was perfect for our few nights away. It was well thought out with warm blankets and storage and felt very cosy with the wood burner going. Linda was very quick to respond to messages and very friendly. Would also recommend the local pub the Fox Inn as we had a lovely meal there one evening. We’ll definitely be back again for another little holiday! Thank you for a lovely time!

Adam's place is simply amazing. If you enjoy nature, tranquility, and coziness, this is the perfect spot for you.His place is close to shops, restaurants, and pubs where you can grab a bite to eat. The hut itself has everything you need, and Adam is a great guy who communicates really well.

Thankfully we bumped into Sally’s neighbour who walked us to the site. ( we ended up becoming friends with them!) The accommodation wasn’t very clean, but it was well stacked with everything we needed and more. Beds and pillows were terrifically comfortable. Bath was heaven, evenings and mornings were paradise. Loved eating al fresco and the site contained everything to make us relax. A special thanks for bread, REAL coffee! Eggs, butter and milk! We loved it and would love to return. Just more attention required to housekeeping!

My partner and I were desperate to have a relaxing place to stay to get away from our busy work lives and this was the perfect place. Tucked out the way and very private surrounded with beautiful scenery and next to no noise. We loved that it was walking distance to the pub where we enjoyed lunch. The hot tub was a bonus. It had everything we needed. Excellent little shepherds hut, highly recommend. Thank you!

We recently stayed at Andreas Shepherd's Hut in Cruxton, and it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a serene rural setting, the hut offers an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was charmingly rustic yet comfortably modern and the interior was well-appointed with thoughtful touches that made it feel cosy and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable and the small kitchenette was equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay which we made the most of both mornings and evenings. The hut's location was perfect. Surrounded by apple trees and rolling hills, it's ideal for leisurely walks, relaxing outside with the fire pit or enjoying the private space alongside the river. The lack of light pollution in the area allowed us to view the Milky Way when stargazing one evening which was the perfect addition to our stay. Andrea was super accommodating, ensuring that everything was in order and even dropped off a homemade Dorset apple cake!

Great place for a retreat, well tucked away great views of the countryside and Bristol in the distance. A welcome pack of Bread, butter, home made cake, bacon eggs and sausages. The hot tub was fantastic. Park and ride to bath 5 min. Can’t recommend it enough great felt so chilled out staying here.

We spent a fabulous two nights at "Lucy ". The hot tub was great, we were lucky to have one clear night to star gaze. The area is fantastic with the York Inn a short walk away with lovely food. the hut had everything we needed, super cosy . We nearly finished the jigsaw!

We had a lovely couple of nights in Herdwick hut at Laverstock farm. The farm is gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it seeing the animals, particularly the pygmy goats, and even had a couple of games of table tennis in the games room. The area around the hut is very private and peaceful, although you could hear some chatter from the cottages above at times. The hut itself is really pretty and cosy and we loved being greeted by the cows in the adjacent field. The separate kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed evenings by the fire pit, with the added bonus of marshmallows left by the host! One thing to mention is that the shared washroom is a walk away, up by the cottages, but it was clean and offered products and towels. A relaxing and lovely stay.

This little Easter break was perfect for myself, my 4yr old and our dog, and exactly what it says in the tin ‘Simple and Serene’ the views are stunning and we went to 4 different beaches in the space of a couple of days! Nicola was so accommodating, from a flexible check in time to letting my daughter borrow colouring pens! I would 100% recommend and will book again in the future. Thank you so much x

Me and my best friend had the pleasure of staying here recently the view was amazing. The beds are so comfortable. We had the luck of having a beautiful sunset to be able to watch while we relaxed. Elizabeth is so helpful, a lovely kind lady and hopefully we’ll be able to come stay again.

Incredible spot! Really enjoyed our time here, very peaceful and lovely surroundings. Hot tub was exceptional, Clive was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend for any couple looking for time away in the countryside.

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

Beautiful rural getaway!! Chloe was so helpful with making sure the hot tub was ready for the evenings, the shepherds hut was a perfect escape for us as a couple, with beautiful views, privacy and a very cute lodging with everything we needed. The furnishings and details in the shepherds hut were so lovely and made a very small space feel like a cosy home. Super easy to find and enjoyed a couple of nice walks in the area. Will book again!

This was probably one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in, the photos don't do it justice! The place was spotless and had everything you could need. Lots of local taxis available to take you into Wells (10 mins max) where there are plenty of lovely pubs & restaurants. The hot tub was amazing, very easy to use and the hut was much bigger than we expected! Lou was an incredible host, so welcoming and hospitable, always replying super quickly to any questions and very clear instructions. If you are looking for a rural, peaceful, fun get away, we couldn't recommend this enough!

Outstanding Stay at Valley View Hut Our stay at the Valley View Hut was absolutely outstanding. The setting was wonderfully private and peaceful, making it the perfect escape. Andrew has created a beautiful space that’s both charming and well-equipped with everything you might need. The outdoor bathtub was a real highlight—it truly topped off the whole experience. We also loved the fresh eggs and the adorable chickens wandering around; it added such a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

A delightful place to stay, peaceful and cozy, with all we needed and more. the hot tub was wonderful and so easy to light with as much wood as we needed. making pizza was fun and tasty. it was all so clean and tidy, just ready for us to enjoy. Thank you ❣️

We had a wonderful stay at Harriet's Hideaway and were very sad to leave the tranquility and beauty of Thorndon Farm. The hut itself was finished to the highest quality and even had underfloor heating! We loved all the little extras, such as the Easter eggs, hot chocolate velvetiser, goodie basket and clearly a lot of thought had gone into setting the hut up. The highlight though, apart from the idyllic setting, was the incredible wood-fired hot tub and the fire pit which made the evenings under the stars complete. Jeni's communication was also excellent and we were very appreciative of the fact that she went out of her way to order in Raspberry jam especially for us! We look forward to returning in the future xx

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s. A luxurious and romantic cabin with everything we could’ve needed. ‘Holly’ has a super comfy bed and we loved the wood fired hot tub, log burner and wildlife on the doorstep. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub was magical! We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends. Angela was really helpful and friendly and she has done a fab job with the cabin and fitting everything in to the space in a clever and stylish way. Thank you for an amazing and memorable weekend.
