This was such a lovely home! Amie- Jane was very welcoming and provided a delightful breakfast. Her dog was very welcoming too, beautiful brown and white collie type, always up for a tummy scratch. The dog made us feel like we were right at home, so friendly! lovely and private cottage, beautiful big trees surrounding and waking up to the sounds of birds, sheep and being in a rural area was so peaceful. just the get away you need! highly recommend, thank you for having us Auntie-Jane.

We had a magical stay at Lake Hut, so calm and peaceful, great walks to the lake where our dogs had a ball running in and out of the water and adventuring. The outdoor bath under the stars was bliss and the indoor fire kept us very warm. Lisa is an excellent host and very quick to reply to all questions. we will definitely book again thank you very much for our stay.

Such a gorgeous spot. Throughly enjoyed our stay, if peace and quiet is what you're after then t his location is perfect. Fully fenced section so perfect for dogs. Comes with a cheeky wee Weka family and a cute friendly fantail. Home now feeling recharged and we will definitely return. Many thanks. M & T Enright

Lovely home with everything you could ever need

This was my second time staying and again I felt like I was at home. It's like a step back in time with peace and character and just so relaxing. I couldn't ask for better.

Carol and Donald have a beautiful property, it was like I was walking in a Monet painting! The heater was running before I got there, ensuring the cottage was nice and cosy. I also loved wandering the surrounding gardens and the farm - so amazing to meet the sheep and cattle! I'd love to come back next time I visit NZ.

A great option for travelling through like we were. Place is absolutely as described and very comfortable

if you are travelling to Christchurch with a small group then this place is for you. Great house, good size bedrooms ,great kitchen and Lounge, plenty of space. The house has everything you need for a great stay. The house is set in lovely gardens and has a terrific deck space. Hosts are great and very helpful, really recommend this place.
