The Carriage House exuded tranquility and serenity. Following a lengthy journey, we eagerly sought refuge in the inviting living space and cozy bedroom. The temperature upon our arrival was ideal, allowing us to effortlessly unwind. The accommodations boasted a comprehensive array of amenities, ensuring that we felt completely at home. As night fell, following a visit with family, we savored the peaceful seclusion of the countryside while relaxing by the gas firepit and a glass of wine. The path leading to the river is ideal for fitness enthusiasts who enjoy walking or running, especially trail running. Adjacent to the river, there is a park with a track, perfect for those looking to exercise. Additionally, the area is excellent for fishing, so be sure to bring your gear and a comfortable lawn chair to relax in the ample shade by the river, perhaps with a good book.

Linda place was great! The 7acres with mature trees was wonderful to explore with our pups! The carriage house was nice - just enough space for us and had what was needed for our weekend stay. The ranch hand was super friendly and we enjoyed having the horses around! Thanks!

We had a great stay at the Barn. Very spacious and comfortable. Catherine was very responsive, friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this location as the owners certainly put a lot of energy into making it a great stay with lots of accommodations.

The pictures do not do this place justice! It was so much better in person and that is saying a lot. Incredible dark skies in the evening, serene surroundings, and so intimate. Bernice was an absolute joy and her breakfasts rivaled the best 5 star establishments in all of Fredricksburg! This will be our go to stop!

The stay at this place was great! I honestly think it feels bigger in person than it does in the pictures. It’s a great size for a weekend getaway for a couple or a small family. The Airbnb is on the same property as the host home but is separated a good bit and is facing away so it still feels very private. It was wide open fields all around and was very peaceful and quiet. We even got to see some cows come up to the fence. Jackie was very friendly when we met to get the key from her. It was a very cozy and comfortable stay. We stayed in November and the 2 wall A/C units did well but I could see how in the warmer months those 2 units may not be able to keep up if you like it cold, even with the provided fans.

John was the sweetest! When we had trouble with the hot tub, he responded promptly to resolve the situation. He was a friendly and welcoming host!

This was the most incredible place I have ever stayed in my life - and I have done some traveling! The pictures and description couldn’t even prepare me for how amazing it was. Not only is it gorgeous, unique, spacious, and clean - with every single amenity you could think of - the hosts were so helpful and kind! Super responsive but let us have our privacy after check in. I could not have asked for a better place to stay on a weekend away. And only an hour from my house in Austin! I am already planning on my next trip back. It really brought the group together in the most special way. I am eternally grateful!

I really enjoyed staying here with my mom. Everyone was incredibly friendly and it was so refreshing being able to walk around. The days we went the weather was amazing and beautiful. Wynona the horse was adorable and she was always walking up for pets and was so well behaved. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Thank you, I’ll be sure to come back!

Karen and Henry’s barn was the perfect little cozy getaway, and the hot tub was a big plus. As hosts, they went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home, bringing breakfast one morning and regularly recommending restaurants and other activities. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a fabulous stay at the Feed Mill. Our 3 little dogs loved it as well. I especially loved waking up in the morning hearing the rooster crow and visiting with the sheep. The stay was quiet and peaceful which is just what we needed. We will definitely be back.

We had an incredible stay at Susie and Chuck's barndominium in Valley Mills. This quintessential Texan experience left us in awe from start to finish. Watching the majestic longhorns right outside the home was enchanting, and feeding them was an unforgettable highlight. The serene surroundings offered a much-needed escape, and the home was perfect—warm, inviting, and exceptionally well-stocked. The kitchen and bathroom were fantastic, and the beds and furniture were so comfortable that we felt right at home. Susie and Chuck’s thoughtful touches, like Dr. Pepper in the fridge, the basket of assorted snacks, cozy throw blankets, fun games, and cornhole on the porch ensured we wanted for nothing. This magical space has quickly become our top recommendation for anyone who wants to experience a true Texan vibe. We can't wait to return and relive this remarkable experience. This hidden diamond is a serene oasis. From the moment we entered, we knew this place was well cared for. We enjoyed the beautiful walking trails that led us to wonderful breathtaking views. Our host was respectful of our privacy but always available when needed. We loved our delicious breakfast and our fresh squeezed OJ!!! Needless to say, our expectations were met and we are definitely returning!!

Beautiful home in an idyllic setting! Every amenity imaginable. Second time we've stayed here, and the experience has always left us rested and relaxed.

We really enjoyed our stay! We wanted to be close enough to town to do things but also far enough to see the stars at night as clearly as possible. This place hit on both of our goals. We had a minor issue with a door lock on one of the bedrooms but the hosts communicated timely and they were able to have the issue resolved by the next morning which we very much appreciated. We would definitely stay here again and loved all the nature and animals on the property.

the bed was super comfy, great for sleeping with only 1 windows in the whole unit. I wish I had more time to catch up on sleep while I was there. It's a cute set up. You do have neighbors on both sides of your outdoors area. so you know, depending on the type of privacy you want.

We were in Auburn for some of our family to attend a football game. Those who were not attending the football game had a wonderful time at the cabin in the woods. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We had a wonderful time! Dana was very responsive and welcomed us when we arrived, making sure we had what we needed. The cottage was cozy and cute. The surroundings peaceful. Dana even set out hot chocolate and peppermint and the winter-themed flannel sheets were perfect on a cold night!

Robert was very friendly, and the place had a great atmosphere and location. I'm sure we'll be back. We feel the best was find river 🥰

Awesome month-long stay at Lob Lolly Farm. Set in horse country. Rolling hills and starry nights. The barn is very comfy and has EVERYTHING needed to prepare meals. MaryLouise is on-site and a fantastic host. Fairhope has a quaint lil artsy fartsy downtown. Lotsa good food options, shopping and people watching. I hit at perfect time and caught Mardi Gras and the local arts festival. The barn is a nice six mile bike ride into downtown along Scenic 98, which parallels the bay. I’ll definitely stay again. 5⭐️

Loved the decor and lighting. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed to cook dinner. Bathroom was amazing, connected to the bedroom which was very well decorated! They had a nook in the main bedroom with amazing finds of their own and I purchased a few very easily thru my cash app. My only dislikes; the ladder to the loft space isn’t comfortable for an adult or a child. I brought my 12 year old daughter and she went up there once. Nothing exciting about it. Another downfall was the fire pit. Dirty chairs and pit. They provided plenty of firewood but it just wasn’t a comfortable setting. Also, if you’re looking to use the piano, it’s completely out of tune and is there for pure decoration. As an adventure seeker who also loves to kick back and relax, this was the perfect mix! We have two young boys, and everyone loved it! The hot tub was relaxing and peaceful, my husband and I took the kayaks out on the river right in the front yard, and the overall location was convenient enough to restaurants and amenities yet tucked away on a ranch away from the noise. We didn’t spend much time in the house/ranchette, but the photos represent the living spaces & bedrooms well. We’ve already recommended the place to friends who want a unique getaway! Also recommend swampandrivertours dot com for an AMAZING gator tour while you’re there - we loved it! We also really enjoyed The Tree Restaurant recommendation Alina gave us - great steaks. Thanks Alina, we loved our stay!!
