Serian : locations de vacances

We traveled with friends, and the six of us (four adults and two kids) stayed at Welyne and Gilles' home during our visit to Sarawak. We all had a wonderful time. The house is situated in a peaceful and scenic location, perfect for relaxing and recharging. It’s also conveniently close to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, about a 30-minute drive from downtown. The house itself is well-maintained, comfortable with pool, and very well equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. Welyne and Gilles were excellent hosts—very friendly and accommodating. We especially appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the local culture, enjoy delicious meals, and take part in a durian tasting that Welyne kindly arranged. Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to visit again in the future!

We had an amazing time! The lodge is perfectly located in the jungle, where 2 rivers meet. Jerome and Charlotte built 2 beautiful lodges in a peaceful environment. They showed us around, made us tried fruits we did not know and even took us on a night walk in the jungle. We really appreciated the full board option, which included fresh fish from the river or turkey cooked in a bamboo for example. Overall we are grateful to have shared these moments and learned more about the Bidayuh culture. Hopefully we will be back!

Roger and Ren welcomed us very warmly into their home, and we even almost made friends with Cubby the dog! The lovely chalet surrounded by forest is an absolute feast for the ears after dark - all kinds of musical frog calls put us to sleep at night! It was a great location to access Semenggoh, pitcher plant garden, and Teng Bukap waterfall. Night-time chats with R&R will be cherished for long, and Ren's beading and embroidery skills are incredible. We loved spending time at the little library with notes from travelers past, and a view of birds and squirrels going about their lives. Thanks Ren and Roger for making our trip to Sarawak a memorable one!
