Our stay at this Airbnb was incredible! We were struck by the stunning mountain views— watching the sunset and then feeling like the stars were close enough to touch. This home is super family-friendly, and our group had a blast playing ping pong, basketball and board games, with plenty of space for everyone to hang out. But the real hidden gem was the movie theater! It felt like our own private cinema, complete with comfy seating and a huge screen. We loved the fact that there were so many activities to enjoy: the hot tub, the indoor-outdoor fireplace, s’mores at the firepit, and gathering around the dining table. We also enjoyed the short hiking trail directly behind the house that leads to an overlook with another beautiful view of the valley. Our host, John, was very responsive and accommodating. One of our guests had some business calls to make, so John set up one room as a mini-office. In sum, breathtaking views, endless entertainment and all the comforts of home!

The homes was wonderful and everything was as described in the description. We had a large group of 10 and there was enough games and activities to entertain everyone. Would definitely rent the Airbnb again if we decided to hike somewhere nearby again.

Absolutely stunning home and location! Very serene and private with plenty of space for family to spread out! Game room kept kids entertained while parents relaxed on screens in balcony deck overlooking the mountains. Close access to national parks, Luray Caverns, and hometown thrift shops! Overall a wonderful family vacation and would highly recommend!

What an incredible stay! The home was spotlessly clean—truly one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was pristine, which made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. It was also beautifully and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere throughout. The outdoor space was just as impressive—peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing. We especially loved the fenced-in hot tub area, which made it easy to unwind while our dogs stayed safe nearby. And the sauna was such a cool and unexpected bonus! The location is secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet close to wineries, restaurants, and everything else you might need. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We had the most relaxing weekend with family and friends—this place is a true gem. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Joel’s home. We were looking for a quiet, scenic location not too far from DC to celebrate our anniversary, and this checked all the boxes. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedroom had all the essentials plus some. While we didn’t venture out in the area much, we were entertained by the pool/ping pong table, games, and the huge TV. We’d definitely recommend Joel’s home for anyone looking to getaway!

This place was awesome! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and well stocked with all the amenities. The location is spectacular, a mountain top set between two other mountain ridges with gorgeous views on both sides, at sunrise and sunset. It is perfect for a quiet, serene, romantic getaway. And the host made mine even more special by leaving me a little birthday cake! She was very responsive and accommodating to our questions and provided ample information about things to do in the area.

The ideal location, abundance of amenities and. extras. depending on the season that you choose, this a place you could call home.
