This was a beautiful home and exactly what we needed for a quick relaxing getaway. We loved the Theater room, the layout, and the boat dock which allowed for some good fishing!

The Lake Lodge was the perfect escape for a weekend with my husband. We roasted hotdogs on the fire, relaxed in the hot tub, and had a fun game of headbandz. This house is extremely kid friendly, so while we do not have children ourselves, we will definitely be returning for a group trip with friends and family who do have small children. I would recommend this for anyone, couples, families, friends to take this opportunity to enjoy all the beautiful Lake Anna area has to offer.

Our family of 2 adults and 5 kids had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving week. Watching the sunrises and sunsets on the lake was so peaceful and our kids loved playing outside! Private and beautiful scenery, especially with the late fall colors. We had everything we needed to cook and everyone slept great. Kids said they wished we had spent less time sightseeing and more time at the house so they could play in the backyard!

Tracy was very welcoming, informative and accommodating. She was very available if we had any concerns. We were planning a boat trip on the lake and she helped coordinate a boat rental that led to a lovely day on the water. Her mom is cozy and tidy and we felt very comfortable there.

Our children (ages 15-24) loved this place! They spent hours on the lake paddle boarding and kayaking and the hot tub was perfect after a chilly morning on the water. We even found some shark teeth at Shark Tooth Beach! The home was clean and sweet and had lots of treasures from many adventures in the woods and at the beach. ❤️

This was the perfect spot for our friend group to get away for the weekend. There’s tonnes of sleeping spaces, and the common areas easily fit our group of 9 adults for meals, movies, and games.

We had a fantastic family vacation at Matt’s house. The space is beautiful — there are amazing views from every window and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the home. The kitchen was well stocked and we had fun cooking elaborate meals. There were so many fun activities at the house — from the hot tub to shuffleboard — but there are also lots of great outings within easy driving distance. Matt was an incredibly responsive host who quickly answered any question we had. This was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever and we can’t wait to return!

We had such a great vacation in Lake Anna. This was the perfect spot; nestled in a cove surrounded by mature trees with a breathtaking view out over the lake. What a beautiful area. Every day we seen deer and bunnies:) Wrap around decks. The layout of this house is amazing for a family- so many cozy spots and comfy lounge furniture. The kitchen is incredible. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The house was even decorated with a Christmas tree for us:) Beth was super nice and very responsive with any questions we had. We can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed our short stay in the mountains! Beverly was very friendly and welcoming. The cabin was clean, cozy, and peaceful. We hiked Crabtree Falls (only a 10-minute drive!) and had a great meal at Devil’s Backbone (about 25 min away).

Her place was very clean and felt like home. She was very well organized and things were very well stocked. She was very responsive when talking to her. We are definitely staying there again. It was a great stay and getaway.

Hands down this is the best host! We had a very good stay at this Airbnb. It was so clean and well decorated. They had a very relaxing ambiance and atmosphere especially when we showed up at the property. The owners were very kind and accommodating. Whenever I had a question the owner was quick at responding and offering help. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return. The home is directly on the Potomac river with beautiful river views. The home is a split duplex and you have an adorable apartment all to yourself with a wood fireplace, 2 bedrooms, walk in shower, and direct access to the hot tub overlooking the water. You barely notice the upstairs apartment other than the occasional sounds of footsteps above. All tvs are smart tvs with steaming capability. The hosts are very friendly and have excellent restaurant recommendations! This is a hidden gem and a great deal!

It was an amazing weekend in this home. The kitchen, bathroom and linen closet were well stocked and we didn’t run out of anything. The house is right on the water and provided hours of free entertainment. The house contained cable, plenty of DVDs/Bluray movies, board games, and sitting space. Wisp is seconds away by car and minutes by walking. Host was responsive and understanding, even after I lost the house keys.

Communication was seamless! Whitney was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The home was very clean and very very cute! We felt comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

Jennifer and Eric were very great hosts! The place was just as advertised. Jennifer was very responsive and had helpful recommendations. The family let our kids play in their backyard and on the trampoline which my kids loved. The treehouse is also a very nice touch for the kids, as is the heated floor in the bathroom for the grownups. It’s a beautiful area. Would definitely stay again!!

The place was amazing! There’s everything you would need and more! Taby was the best host I’ve had in a long time and always responsive and quick to help. Love all the amenities provided (games, kayaks, individual toothbrushes, mouth wash, great shampoo/conditioner). The kayaks and the chicken roaming around was a nice touch to the vibe. Taby also come and made sure we were able to plug in our EV during our stay. Super flexible checkout as well! Nothing but great things to say. We look forward to coming back when it’s warmer to take the kayaks out!

What a fun long-weekend. We enjoyed the kayaks and we literally spent the whole weekend in the lake. We didn’t even mind that the water was cold, being early spring. The house is really clean and beds are comfortable. The kitchen has the basic necessities and we didn’t have any problem cooking all meals there. We will definitely be back.

Just like the pictures, this lakeside cottage is lovely. Great setting and views. Very nicely decorated and very well equipped. Susan was an outstanding host.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cottage is completely remodeled and provides a great space for a small family to interact and enjoy the lake. We had a mix of cooking on the Blackstone/kitchen and eating at some of the local restaurants on the lake. Christine and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week on the lake. We used paddleboards and rented boats and wave runners from the local marinas. Smores by the fire pit were a bonus!

This was our second visit to Mallard Cottage for my husband and I. Just like our previous stay, this is the perfect mix of serenity from the water view and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking some wonderful meals. A. J. and Lindsey remain very helpful and responsive, which ensures peace of mind.
