Shenandoah Valley : séjours à la ferme

Our Plans changed slightly and they were accommodating without hesitation, which was awesome! The only thing I would say and I'm sure it's totally beyond their control is the water had a slight odor when showering. Maybe that's normal in that area, we are from Southern California so what do we know. We will stay here again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn Loft. Andrea and Steve are gracious hosts. Prior to our arrival, we received information to prepare for our stay. We received timely communication on the date of our arrival. The property is even better than the pictures display. We truly felt welcome and at home. The furnishings are cozy and the beds are so comfortable. Our family enjoyed meeting the hosts, exploring the property, and the opportunity to rest and to relax in such a beautiful scenic area. We appreciated the fact that our dog could accompany us on this trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning.

We love staying here and have so many great family memories in this house! It feels like home away from home and we're excited to visit again. The house beautiful and the surroundings are, too.

We wanted a last minute hike and a place to stay nearby. There wasn't a lot left that wasnt booked up and there were many places that charged $60-$100 cleaning fees making the total close to $100 more than the actual nightly price listed. That was not the case here. This place was absolutely beautiful. It was easy to find and we felt right at home inside. Communication was excellent and while we mostly hung out inside after our long hike, there is plenty to do on this farm! I would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be staying again.

Hidden Gem definitely deserves its name! Beautiful views with things to do in the area. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our weekend getaway!!

We truly enjoyed our weekend at "Idyllic Mountain Home - Dog Friendly/great views"! It was all of that and more! Charlotte provided detailed info on how to run the wood stove (early March can get chilly) and we were warm and cozy on both levels all weekend. Other info about the house was very detailed. Our two corgis loved wandering around the property, which is elevated and very private! We took a hike with them on Saturday off of Skyline Drive, which was only about a half hour away; lovely! Dinner Saturday night was a milestone birthday celebration at The Inn at Little Washington, and it was worth the splurge! There's a small area near the bedroom where we set up the dogs crates and they were very comfy while we were gone. I highly recommend Charlotte's home for a weekend getaway!!

Brittany and Rich were great hosts! My husband and I ended up booking the wrong days and they still let us stay free of charge. It was very kind of them. The house was spotless and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make dinner. The view was beautiful and it was very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely come back!😊

We were transported into another world when we stayed at this Air BnB. We truly felt like we were on vacation from our daily lives; we unplugged and reconnected as a family. The cows were so lovely; they give such a sense of peace and are an important reminder about how our food is farmed.

Very nice and private home, clean and exactly as expected. Had a slight issue during our stay and Zazi was very efficient in resolving it and getting our stay back on track. Would stay again!

So appreciated our stay. First time to hike McAfee’s Knib and staying at Wyatt’s place was the perfect place. Just a few miles from trailhead, clean and peaceful place to return to and lovely brewery just two miles away. Wyatt took us to and from trailhead and was so responsive. Hope to be back for another hiking adventure!

We had a wonderful stay! The location was beautiful, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The host was very helpful, and the cozy fireplace made our stay even more delightful. Definitely a 5-star experience!

What a perfect place to stay when visiting our daughter at school! It’s out of town, yet an easy, short drive to Lexington. The house had everything we needed and more. Everything was well-stocked. Forgot a toothbrush?! No problem! The host was beyond generous with what was supplied. We loved the porch, games, extra blankets, gas grill…it truly was one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever had.

We had an excellent stay at Ashleigh and Mike’s place! My kids fell in love with the friendly animals and especially Mabel the dog. They loved searching for frogs and tadpoles too. Kayaking was also very fun! Thank you!

Catherine has a lovely carriage house! It was decorated beautifully, very clean and perfectly sized for me! Her directions were crystal clear and she made it a breeze for self check in. The neighborhood is lovely with many walkable destinations. I felt very safe as well. I had a lovely stay and would love to stay again when I find myself back in town overnight!

We enjoyed our stay. Just off I-64 and state route 250. Google maps tried to take us to Louisa, which is not close, but Alice helped us locate their farm. Ideal spot for one or two people. The king bed was very comfortable.

Loved our stay. Kristin and Sam were wonderful and flexible. The house was super nice and clean. Would love to come back at some point.

We had a great time staying at Ali’s. The property was beautiful, easy to find, and peaceful. Ali was very proactive and instructions were very clear. We had 3 young kids with us and the apartment was spacious and well organized. It was also pretty kid safe which was a nice perk.

We had a lovely stay at Martha and Doug’s place. We were greeted on arrival with the friendliest of faces and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet getaway in the countryside. Fantastic hosts & a fantastic estate all combined to make our trip one to remember.

Amazing to interact with so many animals! They are doing incredible work here helping all the animals, and they were super supportive of us interacting within their guidelines.

Absolutely beautiful place! Loved every second of it! Very peaceful! Perfect for getting away from the everyday hustle! It was exactly what we needed!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grist Mill. Joan met us to give us a warm welcome, and to tell us all about the history of the mill and the surrounding area. The house was so comfortable and charming. It is obvious that Joan has taken a lot of pride into curating the beautiful collection of treasures that decorate the house. Sitting outside in the deck or patio and listening to the stream and water wheel was so serene and relaxing. We were within an hour of Shenandoah NP and Grand Caverns.

Loved it. We saw like two dozen deer!

Such a cute little stay on a beautiful farm. It rained all weekend so we didn’t get to check out the full property, but we will 1000% come back to see this place in the warmer months! The 3 kitties greeting us at the door every time we came and left was the best hospitality I’ve ever witnessed 🥰

We had a wonderful time at this cozy space. Greatly appreciate all the small details around the home and the breakfast items we found at our arrival. The banana bread baked by Lew was delicious. The 360 view from any vantage point was unbelievable and mixed with the stormy clouds, made the perfect match for our sketching. A beautiful 20-min. drive from Marshall. Our only wish was spending some more time chatting with the hosts.
