We had a fantastic time on Bressay, I'm very happy I chose this little island over the mainland, it was peaceful and quiet with breathtaking scenery and still very close to Lerwick & the big shops. The apartment itself was perfectly located within the island: a very short walking distance from the local café, shop & play park downhill - and a little longer, but lovely walk to isle of Noss uphill, ferry to the mainland wasn't too far either, around about 30-40 mins walk... Kim was incredibly nice and helpful offering us lifts & taking our luggage down to the ferry port on our last day! The apartment was perfect for our needs: lots of green area outside, lovely fresh air, beautiful surroundings, stunning views from the terrace, spacious rooms, comfortable bed & armchairs, lovely modern bathroom (++Shetland 🧼 Co toiletries 😍), compact well equipped modern kitchen. I'd love to return, thanks so much for everything Kim & Lindsay!

My partner and I had a great stay in the apartment feeling like it was a very nice and cozy space to return to after the day out exploring Shetland! The book provided by the owners showed us restaurants to visit as well as pamphlets containing things to do around the island. The apartment itself had great amenities such as washing machine, dishwasher and everything we would need for the weekend stay. We would highly recommend to people visiting Shetland - it’s close to the ferry’s and within the centre of Lerwick so you can easily walk around to get where you need to go. Thanks for a great weekend!!

Lindsay and Kim are the perfect hosts. They made an early Check in possible and the apartment was well prepared and warm. The surrounding is amazing,and you can sit on a nice terrace viewing the bay and Lerwick. We highly recommend this place.

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

It's a fantastic base for exploring Shetland. The flat is much bigger and lighter than you see in the pictures. It has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Tony was a great host and responded very quickly to any questions. The flat is in the centre of town, within walking distance of all local amenities, and all bars and restaurants are on your doorstep. I have already booked to stay here for my next trip and highly recommend it.

Great location within Lerwick. Ample parking and the property was as described. A great alternative for contractors working on the island.

Robert and Ann were fabulous hosts without being intrusive. They leave you alone but are there if you need anything. The flat is fabulously located near all the amenities of Lerwick with easy on street parking and, though compact, is cosy and has everything you could need. We whipped up some fantastic meals in the little kitchen.

Amazing place to stay. very responsive! The heating was on when we arrived, felt warm and welcoming. Anne Marie was very fast with responses and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here! Town centre was literally on the doorstep! If I visit Shetland again, I would definitely want to stay here again!

Angela’s place was exactly as described warm and homely. She was amazing when the washing machine broke down it was replaced the same day and she let us stay the day we checked out which was especially kind given the rain and driving wind. We would be very happy to stay again

I loved staying in the Weaving Shed studio - I loved its privacy and peacefulness. It is in a beautiful area and I was able to go to Eshaness twice to see the place in different weather. The nearby beach was also a delight. Thanks to all the facilities in the flat and a well-stocked shop just across the road I was able to be self-sufficient. NCDC staff were very responsive and the Northern Lights alert messages were an extra sweet touch - many thanks. I'd love to visit the place again, and as an artist I would use it for self-directed residency.

Fabulous location and I really appreciated that David gave information needed before I had to ask. I will say it’s in sort of a walkway and I was glad someone had already explained about those side walkways. I felt like a princess in a castle - both in the heart of town but able to get away from it all, since the bedroom and bath are upstairs. Kitchen was nice an modern. Also really appreciated the use of a hair dryer. My only minor criticisms: The stairs into the unit are a bit tricky/slippery, but to be fair, so are half the stairs in Lerwick. The master bedroom would benefit from a chest of drawers for storing clothes. I did have to close the bedroom windows at night or you get a bit of street noise; I was fine but a super light sleeper might be bothered.

The cottage was warm and cosy on entering. It has everything you need and is full of character. It's an amazing find!

I stayed with Neil and Gina about 18 months ago and the place looked like it was brand new super clean and very well stocked - the best abb hosts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Violet was wonderful in every aspect of our stay… luggage was lost in transit delaying arrival - Violet drove us to get fish n chips and brought us wine, milk, bread, butter to get us through until we could pick up the hire car… Violet was flexible for check out when fog delayed departure. As well, Violet was friendly, helpful and just such a lovely person. Recommend Violet’s place for all comers.

Spacious home with a harbor view in the heart of Scalloway, within walking distance of excellent restaurants and the outstanding Scalloway museum.

This apartment was very well situated for everywhere we wanted to go. It was warm, spotlessly clean and well equipped. We have holiday homes ourselves so our standards are high. This ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend
