Beautiful view ! Lovely host, they made our stay extra special by being so friendly and welcoming. It was a real pleasure to stay with them, it made our Shetland experience all the much better thanks to their hospitality and warmth. The house is lovely, kitted up with great books on Shetland & everything you could need in the kitchen, down to a Tunnocks tea cake ! Highly recommend.

A lovely, cosy home. Always warm even when it was very cold outside. It was very well equipped with everything (and more) than I needed. I would happily stay here again if I ever return to Lerwick.

We stayed at Garrie and Allison's at the end of October with our 2 young children. Weather was as to be expected, but the accommodation was warm and cosy. We had an amazing week, so much to see do in Shetland for the proactive, we even managed a lovely swim in Levenwick. 100% recommend this accommodation to friends and family, thanks so much.

We had a wonderful time at Da Haaf. The location at Meal Beach (one of Shetland’s finest) is amazing. The house is very spacious and comfortable. We loved the views and the wood burning stove!

We had a fabulous stay. The place is magnificient. Magnus gave us a lot of information about things to do, where to go etc. Inclusive of where Orca's where spotted, so on our first day we had the opportunity to see a group of Orca's in the bay nearby. What an experience! And If we had any question, he replied very fast. Highly recommended place to stay in Shetland!

A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

Alison and Paul are lovely hosts. Communication was excellent and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. Number 4 is immaculate and very comfortable. Coming home to a cosy home after a day how was just perfect. Number 4 is a short walk to Lerwick which was perfect for us. I would highly recommend a stay at Paul and Alison's if ever visiting Shetland.

Perfect for Wool Week- close to Commercial St and Shetland Museum, very close to bus stop to get out of town. Very convenient to Tesco or the Co-op. Felt like a real Shetlander :)

We absolutely loved our stay in Jenny's and Billy's place. It was just perfect. And Jenny and Billy were wonderful hosts. The went above and beyond what I have normally experienced with hosts and really enhanced our visit to beautiful Lerwick and Shetland. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend their place.

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

Violet was wonderful in every aspect of our stay… luggage was lost in transit delaying arrival - Violet drove us to get fish n chips and brought us wine, milk, bread, butter to get us through until we could pick up the hire car… Violet was flexible for check out when fog delayed departure. As well, Violet was friendly, helpful and just such a lovely person. Recommend Violet’s place for all comers.

Angela’s place was exactly as described warm and homely. She was amazing when the washing machine broke down it was replaced the same day and she let us stay the day we checked out which was especially kind given the rain and driving wind. We would be very happy to stay again

I would recommend the location and comfort of this accommodation- The WiFi played up but this was after a storm and we were constantly out and about. I would love to come back!

beautiful 3 double bed apartment. Spacious, spotlessly clean with everything you would need contained within. A real home from home. the location was fantastic. Central and everything within walking distance. We hired a car to explore the island and get us to and from the airport. Ample parking on the road outside the flat. Carina, our host, popped in on our arrival to welcome us and was very helpful with her local knowledge on good places to go. Our three day visit was a great break and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shetland and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. 10 out of 10!

The cottage was warm and cosy on entering. It has everything you need and is full of character. It's an amazing find!

Robert and Ann were fabulous hosts without being intrusive. They leave you alone but are there if you need anything. The flat is fabulously located near all the amenities of Lerwick with easy on street parking and, though compact, is cosy and has everything you could need. We whipped up some fantastic meals in the little kitchen.

Appartement très bien isolé et équipé situé au 2ème étage dans Lerwick sur un des axes principaux. Tout est accessible à pied en moins d'un kilomètre : le ferry, le supermarché, la rue commerçante, le centre ville... Pas de difficultés de stationnement si vous venez en voiture. Le rez de chaussée est occupé par un magasin d'ameublement et de fournitures pour la maisons. Appartement bien isolé. Voisins charmants. A noter en face un pub (un peu de bruit en soirée le vendredi et le samedi soir sans aucun excès...) et un fish and chip pour dépannage...

Really fantastic accommodation. Beautiful location and the apartment is very comfortable, finished to a very high standard and has everything you could need for your stay. Gary is really helpful and friendly and ensured everything went smoothly. Highly recommend and would love to return!

Brilliant flat in the middle of Lerwick. Leah has thought of everything you will need for a stay in town. Everything is walkable and it was the perfect place to enjoy Up Helly Aa. Leah is a fantastic host with lots of extra information about the festival and the surrounding area. It was incredibly useful and much appreciated. Thank you.

I absolutely loved my stay in this gorgeous flat in the centre of Lerwick. Everything in the flat was brand new and had everything I needed and more. Loved having breakfast looking over the rooftops to the harbour. The parking is very convenient and free, just up a few steps from the front door. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be staying again next time I visit Lerwick.

Excellent location (Bressay). Very regular local ferries across to Lerwick. Bressay is stunning. Lindsay & Kim are excellent hosts + live on-site so always available if u have any queries. Flat we stayed in (Pettifirth) is perfect for couple, or two friends who don't mind sharing double-bed. All mod cons, very high-spec, v.good heating, v.good wifi for internet, fully equipped kitchenette inc dishwasher, tea/coffee/milk/condiments & cereal provided, lovely shower-room, toiletries provided, decent-sized wardrobe with plenty of hangers & two deep drawers, nice towels, dining table & two chairs, double-bed, two comfy armchairs, good TV, flat is spacious for 2 people, triple-aspect windows with stunning views. Communal areas also lovely & with the views. Lots of tourist info. Off-street parking. Ground-floor veranda. Outside seating & picnic/dining-table (all with views). Bressay stunning. Remember it is very rural (1 small shop) so you will need car. Flat is about 30 mins walk to ferry. X

Yvonne was such a great host - let us get there early when she realised we were getting the ferry in and even picked us up from the bus stop. We were really greatful for her help and the provisions provided in the appartment. The appartment was cozy and comfy, and we had a great stay. We used public transport and were able to easily get into Lerwick - the buses were on time and the stop is only a 5 minute walk away.

This was such a great place! thing was wonderful in giving suggestions of things to do, restaurants to eat at, and ways to make my trip memorable. Jane was an outstanding host, and had breakfast, and often times lunch or dinner ready throughout the day. Her and her husband were so lovely to talk to and spend time with. They introduced me to friends of theirs, and even invited me out for dinner with them. This was so nice since I was traveling alone. I felt like when I left I had many friends in Lerwick. It was such a special vacation for me!

A huge thanks to Jean and David for such a wonderful warm welcome to Shetland! The flat is so cosy and you have both done an amazing job of creating a home from home, warm cosy and functional space. We absolutely loved our stay and a huge thanks to you both for all the added kindness with helpful tips for the Up Helly Aa, local info and early check in and late check out. We had a brilliant few days and we’re so lucky to find you after a cancellation. The flat is the perfect base for exploring. Super cosy bed, great location, so quiet and heaps of space to put adventure gear and to make ourselves comfortable. We cooked two nights and ate out at No 88 kitchen bar in Lerwick and would highly recommend! Kitchen at the flat was super well set up with all the basics and great range of cooking utensils etc. What a wonderful info to Shetland! Thank you both, and try the haar spa when you can.
