I love old Assam type house and this house is perfect for me. Old houses are not easy to clean or maintain, if you are looking for a modern and sparkly clean place, this is not a place for you. I LOVE the location and the space. It takes about 7 minutes to trek up the hills to get to the busiest part of Laitumkhrah where all the actions are. The walk up and down the steep hills is part of the fun for us but, if you are not physically active, you may have a hard time catching your breath walking up the hills. I didn't have to call for a taxi but if you do need one, it's probably not a problem since it's so close to the Laitumkhrah taxi stand. The property is very spacious; 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen and a living room. There are two balconies, the back balcony has a nice view of the stadium and the front balcony receives plenty of sun for several hours each day. Perfect for sunbathing on sunny winter days. Marc and Jason were kind, responsive and helpful. Thank you both!

Oak Cottage was a lovely stay! Clean, cozy, and tucked away in a peaceful spot yet close to the main attractions. The hosts were helpful, and the place felt warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxing getaway in Shillong.

Had a great stay at SF Villa. The location is close to Nongthymmai and hence was convenient for our plans. All the amenities and the place were as per listing and as per photos. Would recommend the place to anyone. James also was very responsive, helpful and open to feedback. Thank you.

We had an incredible 3-night stay at this property. The listing was accurate, and there were no unpleasant surprises—it was exactly as described. Elibirth, the caretaker, was exceptional and went out of his way to cater to our needs, whether it was preparing breakfast, picking up groceries, or cooking dinner. The property’s charm lies in its isolation, offering a peaceful getaway. While there isn’t much to do in the immediate vicinity, Swiggy and Zomato were easily accessible, ensuring food was never an issue. The interiors were tastefully decorated and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort. Heaters were promptly provided upon request, which were a lifesaver in January. That said, a water geyser with a slightly higher capacity would have been appreciated for the cold weather. Anirban, the host, was always available and very accommodating, making the entire experience seamless. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property

Anne’s place was very cozy and well thought out. It has everything you’d need, including a really well-stocked kitchen. It is located about 2km from the city center, but it also has plenty of shops close by. Although it is close to the main road, the home itself is quiet and very charming. The icing on the cake are the hosts, who are extremely welcoming and help you out with anything you need. Anne also makes delicious breakfast!

Good stay, there are three rooms and small rooftop lounge kind of place.

The peacefulness of the location was incredible. A symphony of birdsong filled the mornings, sometimes continuing into a delightful afternoon chorus. Breathtaking views of Shillong sprawled out below offered a constant visual refresh. The open spaces were throghly enjoyed by our little one. The fresh air and ample space were a toddler's paradise.

Suzan and Kmen are the sweetest hosts I have ever met. Their hospitality is top-notch, in fact they went overboard in helping us. We were just two females, and they made sure we are safe even when we are with the driver. They arranged a cab and guided us beautiful places. They sat with us for a lovely chat inspite of being tired after a whole day. The property is beautiful and very much safe for anyone who thinks North east is a new territory for them. They have set our standards high when it comes to hospitality. Thanks a lot Suzan and Kmen. will love to come again to your place whenever we are in Shillong.

Awesome place - ideal for peace. The hosts are friendly and responsive. the place is away from the city and you could share a taxi for 80 bucks one way per passenger to the city centre. I would want to stay there again. Cheers

Never expected it would be so nice. You get a friendly host, clean house and kitchen, plus free breakfast (she gave us tea, chicken patties, croissants, bananas, and some pitha/rice cakes). She even allowed an extra guest to stay, and she gave breakfast for him too. We loved the place; it was worth every penny!

I will definitely say please come to that place and when you stay you will be speechless ❤️ the furniture,rooms , everything and if you have to make great time than buddy you are on right track there are so many things to do you can read ,play board games etc and the Main thing is that was not my journey it was my memories and unforgettable 😊

The Longwood Residency truly feels like a home away from home. My family of four had a wonderful 14-night stay here in March 2025. Scandy's recommendations for local attractions in Meghalaya were fantastic. He also suggested reliable tourist taxis, which made it easy for us to explore Shillong and the surrounding areas of Meghalaya. The residency is ideally situated in a peaceful neighborhood, with some of the best restaurants within walking distance, such as Olivia's Kitchen, Deja Vu, and an elderly lady selling delicious soup and momo in the evenings right in front of Deja Vu. Don't miss out on trying the snacks next to her as well! The place is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and equipped with kitchen utensils perfect for preparing a light breakfast—though not suitable for heavy lunches or dinners. Kyrshanborlang was very supportive even before I made the booking. After the booking, he continued to share all the necessary information about the property, nearby restaurants, stores, and more. The property itself was very clean and comfortable to stay in. He had even kept some Maggi packets and snacks in the kitchen, which was really helpful when my kids asked for something to eat. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Jaya is a wonderful host, incredibly helpful. The place is clean as advertised in the pictures. We wanted to book local tours to Cherrapunji and Dawki and it was quite last minute since everything gets shut down early on Christmas, she went above and beyond and asked her husband to take us to the tourist information center and ensure we get our bookings done in time. I didn’t want to leave so soon but definitely coming back to this in my next visit. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Shillong and looking for a home like place near the downtown that is well connected to local markets, restaurants etc.

The property is same as the pictures.The damp walls mentioned in most reviews won't be an issue,it is ignorable. It's very clean and hygienic property. Kitchen is big and with major appliances and utensils. The owner is extremely helpful. The caretakers are super nice. Quite and accessibile locality. There are shops on walkable distance. It is close to police bazaar. In totality it is a great deal for the pricing.

The apartment was very clean and the caretaker extremely helpful and responsive. Since we stayed for a long time, the apartment was cleaned regularly and the bed linen and towels changed. All in all, a very comfortable stay. And the location, extremely central.

It was a great stay. The kitchen had all needed amenities. The bed linens provided were clean. We felt right at home. Best thing was the location which was right at the center of Laitumkhrah (it was the primary reason we stayed at this Airbnb). Thank you for hosting us!

It is a fantastic place for stay. Nightview of whole shillong from the Terrace and the resturant is the main point of stay there.
