We loved our weekend on long lake. We had a nice relaxing time hanging out, fishing, enjoying a fire in the evening, etc. Also very much appreciated how stocked the house was with small things we needed, but wouldnt think to bring, like ziplock bags or just common kitchen tools. Overall, a great spot to chill on the lake and Laura and Steve are great hosts who respond quickly if there are any issues.

Beautiful home. The square footage may seem small, but it makes great use of the space. Only 5 minutes from the town and right on the lake. Clare was extremely helpful and responsive even over a holiday weekend.

Had a fantastic family vacation at Diamond Lake. The cottage was perfect - cozy, clean, and VERY well stocked. Check in before you go to the grocery store because you won’t need anything other than food and drinks - all other supplies are provided. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of board games for rainy days. And the front porch and yard allowed for some family fun in the evenings after being on the beach on sunny days. Thank you for hosting - - we will be back next summer!

It was a great little getaway place for my husband and I. It was smaller than expected, but still worked out perfectly for the 2 of us. The hot tub was great! Kitchen is well stocked, and the place was very clean!

We had an amazing time here! I cannot say enough good things about the place and Colin and Kathleen! The cottage was amazing, and we loved being able to be right on the lake and just enjoy the peace and quiet! It’s clear they put a lot of pride into hosting and they were also always super quick to respond and very kind!

The cozy nest, says it all! Upgrades not photographed include a dual Keurig coffee machine, side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, extra sleeping bed with a pull out in primary bedroom, and wonderful large nightstands to go with the king size bed.

The cottage was absolutely delightful. From the moment we got there we felt right at home. Melody and Greg were extremely helpful and responsive. Upon arrival, I reached out to Melody and within minutes we had what we needed. The whole family was so kind and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and were taken care of (stocking firewood, etc.) We spent two nights at the cottage to celebrate our anniversary and enjoyed every minute. It was clean, cute, peaceful, quiet, relaxing and everything we were looking for. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a cozy & romantic getaway! The owners kitty roams the property and she was a delight to have around as well. Campfire kitty snuggles were an unexpected bonus! I couldn’t say enough good things about our stay at the cottage, the hosts & the property. I returned home feeling grateful for the experience and quite relaxed! Just what we needed.

Absolutely needed that! The view and sounds of the pond is all we needed. Every morning I could sit and listen to the swans, ducks and cranes. The muskrats are cute as well. Perfect place. Not too much but everything you need. Would definitely stay here again. Heidi is nearly at the other side of the world but she always responded within minutes. Sorry Heidi for giving that away, you’ll have to stay on your quick response game now😁.

It's a beautiful location with the lake right out the front door. The place could use some updating, especially the mattresses and bathrooms, but it was definitely what we expected for a charming little lake house! We had a wonderful time, and you can tell Karen and her family love their home. Lots of things to do, right by a grocery store, and plenty of room for a comfortable stay. We'll be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Don's cottage. Plenty of space for four people, and the kitchen had much of what we needed. The area was quiet and easy to get to, both from the road and the lake, via the channel. We brought our own boat. I would recommend renting Don's if you don't have one. Don was very responsive leading up to and during our stay. We would defintiely come back.

We had such a phenomenal time at the cottage. The family that owns the place is incredibly kind and welcoming. Truly made us feel at home and it’s an incredible location for a small get away. We’re very appreciative of the hospitality and opening their home

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful scenery and very clean, comfy, relaxing cottage! Candace was awesome, quick to respond when I locked ourselves out when we were leaving! Definitely will be going back!

The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed for the week in terms of the kitchen furnishings and linens, grill, etc. What exceeded our expectations was the property itself and the setting on the lake. It was beautiful. Great sunrises right from your deck while you sip your coffee, and gorgeous sunsets from the back patio, dock or out on the water. The lake was so peaceful and relaxing all week, never too busy, save for a couple of hours on Saturday, which is totally expected on an inland lake in MI! We did have a maintenance issue, which Doug was very prompt to respond to, and worked in the rain (!) to get it fixed as quickly as possible. He was very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions or make recommendations for fishing spots. We were able to rent a pontoon for the week from a company that Doug recommended, and it really helped make the week nearly perfect. All in all a fabulous week, and we would definitely consider renting this cottage again.

We had an amazing stay at the lake house! The setting was incredibly peaceful and the quiet lake provided a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. I was able to work from home comfortably while my six-year-old had a blast playing in the lake and on the beach. Evenings were a highlight with the fire pits, where we enjoyed making s’mores under the stars. The host was fantastic and provided thoughtful extras like s’mores ingredients, beach towels, and filtered water, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene and family-friendly retreat. We'll definitely be back!

My family and I enjoyed the best stay at Korissa and Anthony’s place. The home is beautiful and exactly as described. The house was in a perfect location and the canal was easy to maneuver with our rented pontoon boat. We utilized the provided kayaks and the rooftop fire pit. Overall would highly recommend. Looking forward to our next stay!

We were not familiar with Lake Wawasee, but this was the perfect spot for us. Oakwood Resort is right on the water with great views of boats and jet skis coming and going. Boats pull into the dock and moor outside the restaurant at The resort. The lake houses all have crisp, clean, white sheets and bedding; fully stocked kitchens, inc. coffee pot & microwave; bathrooms have plenty of bathroom towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. We were delighted with everything. The marina for boat rental is a 5-minute walk away; the resort grounds are lovely with well-maintained landscape; resort restaurant is great; resort has kayaks and bikes for guests to use, as well as a small beach. We are likely to return and have recommended it to a number of friends already.

We had an incredible stay at this lakeside property! The location was perfect—right on the lake and super private, which made for a truly relaxing getaway. Ryan and Kara were fantastic hosts; they responded quickly to all my inquiries and even allowed an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The space was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect retreat. I had so much fun and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Family in town for a reunion. We had 7 people and there is plenty of room. The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking. Home was well stocked, paper towels, bathroom amenities, etc. Grandkids loved the shallow beachfront. I highly recommend.

Kimberly's spot on Shavehead Lake is absolutely perfect. It's our second year in a row and we hope to continue the tradition for many more years. Great access to the lake, beautiful green space, peaceful and relaxing deck and patio areas and all the amenities you need.

Great location right on a lovely lake. Living room and master bedroom windows looked out across the lake for spectacular sunsets. The house was clean and comfortable, great linens, well appointed kitchen. We’d love to stay again, especially before the dock has been pulled out.
