This place was gorgeous. My lady and I wanted something out of the way to have a quiet New Years Holiday and that is exactly what we found when we got to the Shallow Bay Beach House. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for cooking when we wanted to and the town was close enough for us to get to easily but not too close that we were inundated with traffic and local noise. Overall it was a beautiful stay and well worth the price. I would (and already have) recommended this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hopkins. Thank you so much Rita and Steve!

Staying at Areca house was so great! Loved that it was right across the street from the Belize Collection properties and they were all very welcoming. The apartment has literally everything you could need! It’s cozy and perfect. I went to many local restaurants vs doing meals at the swanky resorts, although don’t miss the Belize Breakfast at Paddle House. I also used Get to Know Belize for my adventures. They were so great too! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Areca House again. It was a great savings vs staying at the big resorts

If you're looking to experience real Belizean culture, in the best centrally located location, on the beach, within walking distance to everything, and the two best restaurants in the village right in your own hood, in the coolest AirBNB you've ever stayed in, stop researching now and just book this place. I said stop it. :)

Exactly as described. If this is your first time in Belize and you might find this place a little isolating. But for those of us who have been many times, this is just the key, especially if you’re hanging out doing ministry or you just need an expensive place to go for tours.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week here. The ocean views from every room are outstanding and the patio is a nice private area to enjoy the breezes. It is a great central jumping off point for inland adventures as well as days out at the reef. Hopkins is super welcoming, we walked to a different beach front restaurant every night.

This beautifully appointed home away from home will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. The host, Cedric, was very kind and accommodating to our every need. We can’t wait to come back.

This was our first stay abroad. We were nervous, but the Jungle House was truly paradise. we loved every minute. It was isolated and private, breathtakingly beautiful. We read on the patio every morning & evening listening to the jungle with our coffee. the house was a convenient jumping off spot for ATM, Xunatunich, San Ignacio and more.we are already planning to return!

Absolutely perfect. Cute colorful Cabaña right on a gorgeous beach. And inside: everything we needed (a lot of airbnbs are missing hooks, shelves, little things like paper towel, coffee or condiments- they had everything and more! For example luggage scale or mini rechargeable reading light. Walking distance to everything in town (tiny village Hopkins) Strongly recommend!

Beatuful location and well maintained. Both private and shared outdoor space was amazing! AC kept the bedrooms a perfect temperature at night and with the bedroom doors open the rest of the place was comfortable. Great recommendations from the onsite staff for local restaurants too!
