The Treehouse was a lovely break from city life however still local enough that in 10 minutes you had shops and restaurants. The treehouse itself was absolutely lovely & we really enjoyed it. Prepare yourself to embrace every part of nature, I know it can’t be avoided due to location and venue however be ready for ants !!!!& don’t forget your bug spray

The pictures do not lie! That is your view during breakfast and arrival juice. The host gladly hooked us up with an amazing private safari. Nipuna the driver for our safari made this one of our favorite stops during this trip. So many lovely memories. Book it now! Stop looking at other places and book this one! You will not be disappointed.

Nuwan's is THE place to stay in Dambulla. it is easily worth 5 stars. One for a large room, with a super king-size, comfortable bed. Second for a large bathroom with a hot and cold shower. Third for the very generous breakfast included in the price. Fourth for the peaceful surroundings and the large balcony to enjoy them (including monkeys). Fifth and best of all, it is just a short walk to the Cave Temple. And all this for an unbelievable price. Don't look at any other place, this is the best you'll find.

Kavin seine Familie und sein Team sind tolle Gastgeber er ist hilfsbereit und fürsorglich man fühlt sich gleich wie zuhause. Er gibt super Reisetipps und kennt jeden guten Platz in seiner Heimat. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Er hat immer darauf geachtet das es einem an nichts fehlt und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Nach Colombo war dies unserer erste richtige Unterkunft in Sir Lanka. Unser Gastgeber hat uns den Einstige/das Ankommen in Sir Lanka sehr einfach gemacht. Er hat sich viel Zeit genommen und uns sogar aus Dambulla abgeholt aus. Er stand uns für Fragen jederzeit zur Verfügung und hat uns sogar bei den Planungen unterstützt. Die Zimmer waren vorbildlich sauber und wir haben den Morgen und Abend gerne auf der Terrasse verbracht (angenehme Priese). Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Tipps für euch: Den Aufstieg für den Sunset auf dem Pidurangala Rock spätestens um 16.30 Uhr machen (es staut sich am Ende); für den Sigiriya/Lions-Felsen würde ich um die 2,5 h Stunden einplanen; Spice Garden würde ich meiden, da es sich leider nur um eine Verkaufsmasche handelt, statt einer wo möglichen interessanten Führung (Schade, potenzial hätte es ansonsten…)

Alba and her Partner Manolo were great hosts: always super helpfull, friendly and attentively. They gave us good advice and helped us with organizing trips to Sigiriya, Kaudulla, Dambulla and Pollonaruwa. To visit all this sites Sat Nam Village is the best place to stay! Cause after an exhausting trip you can relax perfectly in the beautiful garden in a hammock under a tree or in the brandnew pool. And don’t forget the fooood! We really enjoyed the rice and curry prepared by one of the lovely ladies who are working on the property! It was delicious. If you need some variation they also offer great Spanish food prepared by Alba herself! We totally enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back and can highly recommend Sat Nam Village for a cultural but at the same time very relaxing stay!
