Beautiful, clean and lovely space - amazing views, quiet yet close to town. The host was super responsive and helpful. We loved sitting on the terrace and looking at the valley and mountain. Easy to walk to town. If you do bring a car, make sure it’s small as the road is super narrow (but we made it!). Place had everything we needed and more. Host was kind enough to even leave us a bottle of wine :). Would definitely return for a longer stay!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Marisa & Paulo und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Marisa & Paulo waren immer für uns erreichbar und tolle Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet, die Lage zwischen Lissabon. Sintra und Cascais in der Mitte von allen drei Zielen. Am besten man fährt mit dem Auto oder einem Uber, den obwohl die Lage gut ist, ist man nirgendwo zentral. Für uns hat es gut gepasst. 👍🏻

The location of Antonio’s place was perfect. Felt very safe, close to several places to eat and shop. Not far from historic center and the palace and castle. The place itself was very clean. Had all what we needed for the three night stay.

Such a lovely place to explore Sintra and its beautiful attractions from. Armie’s breakfast every morning was the perfect way to start the day. I’m pretty sure my kids loved the breakfast more than the castles. There is a trail from the property that leads down to Quinta Regaleira and then Sintra and, if you keep walking, to Santa Maria Church where you will find the trail up to the Moorish Castle (about a 2.5 mile walk each way from the Airbnb) and Pena. We logged a lot of miles every day but the trails themselves were part of the appeal. We couldn’t find a walkable fully stocked market, but found great bakery goods and delicious olives. I can imagine the pool would be amazing in the warmer months. The place is a little tricky to navigate to, but once you’re there, it’s very peaceful. And, of course, Armie was a very sweet host :)

Carlos is a great host! He's very responsive and flexible with our ever changing plans. He's especially kind and helpful when he helped coordinated and received my luggage that got left behind during my connecting flight. The property is very nice and comfortable. Carlos has a great sense of style and decorated the place with unique reclaimed pieces. We had a great stay in Sintra.

Ze was a great host, responding to us quickly when we had questions and left us a lovely pastry on arrival. Her place is in a central square in Sintra across from the Regional palace so we were presented with a beautiful view. We arrived by train and , following Ze's clear directions found the apartment after about a 10 minute walk. It was a busy area during the day but evenings were quiet and peaceful as the majority of visitors cleared out around 4:00 pm. Her place was well laid out and as the photos showed. We arrived after a major rain storm that closed the Pena Palace and Moor castle but enjoyed the Regional Palace and the Regaleira Palace with its beautiful grounds and the tunnels under part of the grounds. Both were in easy walking distance. When we booked Ze suggested that we should consider staying more than 2 days. We couldn't as we already had the next place booked, but she was right. We'd love to come back to the Sintra area and explore more!

Communication with Laura was always easy, fast and attentive. Checking in at the scheduled time was very simple. The apartment is huge, clean and we had no problem with noise. It is easy to park your car for free but the streets are perpendicular. Pingo Doce Market is 300 meters away, bakery and mini market are also 300 meters away. The train station and train that takes you to the Palace are located 15 minutes away on foot. The description in the ad is exactly what you will find. Thank you Laura for your attention.

Lourenco y su abuela son encantadores y muy amables. La casa está muy bien, limpia y con todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa. Está ubicada en una pequeña población, muy tranquila, cerca de la playa. Aunque los dormitorios no tienen armarios roperos, hay un cuarto vestidor con un armario y una gran cómoda para guardar toda la ropa. La estancia ha sido muy agradable y 100% recomendable

The most beautiful home and excellent communication from our wonderful host. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and I think it’s probably the best shower I’ve ever had! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with utensils (great as we love to cook!) and the wood burning stove was such a bonus. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Francisco and his brother were wonderful hosts! When Francisco found out I was in the area looking to buy properties, he introduced me to his neighbors and went out of his way to be helpful. His home is comfortable, clean, and charming. Parking on the street was no problem. I would gladly stay here again!

Lovely place, very clean and on clear days there's a beautiful view of the castle and palace. In the evening the castle and palace are lit up which is very pretty. The place is quiet and calm and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds and bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are big and really nice. Plenty of storage. We had a lot of rain, so it was nice to have the fire on a couple of days. Everything for the fire was provided. The only thing I would say is it would be useful to have a dryer as our clothes never really dried after washing because of the humidity.

Casa da Encosta is a special place.  As others have mentioned, it's a lovely, cozy, comfortable estate with ample amenities and an ideal location for those wishing to explore the region. Our family chose it for these reasons--for its obvious charm, the idyllic hillside setting, spectacular views, & its proximity to sites we intended to visit--but ultimately the property itself became the destination.  We delighted in the place so thoroughly we seldom left.  It is a rare treat for an accommodation to become the centerpiece of our travel experience but here we tasted life in the traditional village of Penedo, high in the hills of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, surrounded by the Casa's peaceful, verdant gardens and terrace views of neighboring quintas and the sea. Duarte & Kjersti were gracious hosts; incredibly generous, responsive and accommodating of our every whim. We extended our stay twice & have our fingers crossed they will receive us again.  Assuredly, this is the one to book ; )

Wir haben uns bei Carlos direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt und waren begeistert von der schönen Unterkunft. Alles war sehr sauber und es fehlte an nichts. Carlos ist ein super Gastgeber und die Kommunikation mit ihm war sehr einfach und zuvorkommend. Neben dem tollen Häuslein ist zudem die Lage sehr gut für verschiedene Ausflüge geeignet. Wir wären am liebsten länger geblieben und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Awesome house! Sage and Renee (and their gorgeous dog!) are the best hosts, friendly, helpful and had great local recommendations. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful view of Sintra. The parking was so easy and it was great to be so close to everything but still feels very peaceful. We will definitely stay again!

My wife and I had such a wonderful stay!! The place is perfect, with beautiful grounds and amazing views over Sintra and up to the Castles. Great walks to the Moorish and Pena Castle or down into town. Absolutely loved our stay highly recommended. Ines was very friendly and helped find some great restaurants and hikes

Although there is some graffiti in the neighbourhood, we never felt unsafe, and we often came home quite late at night. The condo is in great condition and is well located a few minutes walk from the Cacilhas station including the ferry terminal. Simone was wonderful to deal with and we happily stayed there for 6 nights. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Nice apartment! Spacious, clean and great location. If you surf, you can easily walk to Matadouro which is nice, and it is a short drive to Ribeira. But the city centre is also within walking distance. Also the (indoor) pool and tennis court are nice.

Diogo’s apartment is great! It is in a great location and is well appointed and decorated. It has everything to make you feel at home. The furniture is nice and solid and comfortable. The kitchen has all of the cookware you need to make meals and best of all, there is a grocery store across the street that has all you need, including a nice butcher shop. I bought some of the best pork loin there. Another nice feature of the location is the pastelaria located next to the apartment building. A good coffee maker is available in the apartment but I enjoyed walking to the pastelaria every morning for my coffee. Checking into the apartment was easy and Diogo was very responsive, answering all my queries within minutes. I had a small issue with the shower head and within a short period of time, Diogo had a technician there to fix it. You can book Diogo’s apartment with confidence.

Geweldige plek om te verblijven in Cascais. Zeer comfortabel, ruim en huiselijk appartement met alles erop en eraan. Zeer smaakvol ingericht en zeer schoon. Op loopafstand van leuke restaurants, het centrum van Cascais en het treinstation. Bij de entree een bakker – lunchroom ook voor ontbijt met ruime openingstijden. Het appartement is rustig gelegen en zeer makkelijk te bereiken. Super fijn waren de vele extra’s in het appartement, zoals de goodies voor het warme welkom. De bedden en de kussens waren zeer comfortabel. Twee fijne badkamers met meer dan voldoende toiletartikelen en handdoeken. Met Laura is het super fijn communiceren en zij denkt werkelijk aan alles! Laura haar ontvangst maakten dat wij ons meteen thuis voelden.

The entire experience was perfect, from the prompt responses to the recommendations that you can't find on Google or through AI. We enjoyed a wonderful evening at a Fado restaurant and tried other cafes and restaurants that were suggested - all of which were great! The beds were incredibly comfortable, which is quite rare in the rental sector. Additionally, the kitchen pans were in great condition, unlike many rentals I've encountered. Despite its central location, the apartment was absolutely quiet at night. We also appreciated that the rooms had storage available for guests, and the space was not cluttered at all. Overall, if only all rental experiences could be like this! Thank you, Cheng and Mariami - I would definitely choose your place again!

We enjoyed a great week in Rafa’s apartment. We travelled with our daughter (1) and the apartment was perfect for our family, with a cot and high chair provided. The apartment was clean and spacious. Rafa was a great host, very friendly and full of local knowledge. Thank you Rafa for resolving the small external issue with the wifi! We would recommend for couples and for families.
