Balay Kumbal is an absolute gem! Gerry and Meredith are exceptional hosts, taking hospitality to another level. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed into a cozy and chill space—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the island. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay—cool AC, a super cozy bed, and a reliable setup if you’re working remotely (no worries about internet or power outages here!). And the vibe? Just perfect. Whether you’re relaxing or watching an incredible sunset, it feels like home. Oh, and the food—Meredith’s cooking is seriously yummy! If you’re looking for a peaceful, homey stay with amazing hosts, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

Tout s’est très bien passé, la chambre était magnifique et ils sont très réactifs. Nous avons eux besoin d’une moustiquaire, et dans l’heure elle était posée. Le seul petit point d’ombre c’est le restaurant dans lequel est la chambre, leur service n’est pas à la hauteur. À part ça c’était parfait

Had a fantastic time at Kevin's place. After arriving we quickly settled in and felt right at home. Kevin was very helpful in pointing out to us points of interest such as beaches, ATMs, waterfalls and other sights. Kevin always responded quickly via the Airbnb chat and was always happy to have a chat in person in case we had a question about something. Would definitely recommend Kevin's place to other travellers, private area away from the crowds with a beach a quick walk away with stunning scenery and a fantastic view of the sunset from the property.

The riverside cabin is a true hidden gem in a secluded area of Siquijor jungle. We stayed there with our two teens and enjoyed the remoteness yet stunning setting. We felt privileged to be immersed in nature with no one around. We packed relatively light and enjoy walks and hikes hence the walk to the cabin was a nice experience. It’s best to have packpacks than hardshell luggage as the walk is quite long and steep - which adds to the charm. The cabin and the jungle garden are well maintained - the size of the plants is impressive!!! and the river is pristine blue. The walk to the falls is highly recommended, especially early morning. We’re glad we booked two nights as one night only would have been too short to truly enjoy the experience.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war genauso wie beschrieben – geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem super Tour Guide, den unsere Gastgeberin für uns zusammengestellt hat – mit tollen Restauranttipps und vielen spannenden Empfehlungen. Die Organisation war ebenfalls top: Wir konnten problemlos einen Roller mieten, und der Transfer zum Hafen wurde für uns organisiert. Auch das WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Terrasse: Ob morgens oder abends – dort zu sitzen, den tollen Ausblick zu genießen und die verschiedenen Vogelarten zu beobachten, war einfach traumhaft und perfekt zum Relaxen. Alles in allem eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft! Vielen Dank für die tolle Gastfreundschaft!

Séjour superbe. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment à Siquijor grâce à Susan et Kévin. Ils nous ont réservé un super accueil, donné pleins de conseils pour les visites. Le lieu est paisible, sécurisé et vraiment très joli avec un accès direct à la mer pour plongée avec masque et tuba. Cerise sur le gâteau, la vue sur la mer est accessible dès le réveil sur la terrasse. Le bnb est coquet et nous avions à disposition tout ce qu'il faut. Je recommande. C'est un coup de cœur.

Second time staying. Price increased quite a bit since last year but Dolee is friendly as always and very responsive and accommodating.

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit! Die Aussicht ist einfach unglaublich – damit jeden Morgen aufzuwachen, war ein Traum. Mimi war jederzeit für uns da und hat immer innerhalb weniger Minuten geantwortet. Als wir einmal Ameisen in der Küche hatten, kam sie direkt vorbei zum Putzen, und mit einem Spray, den wir uns besorgt haben, war das Problem gelöst. Die Hunde und Katzen waren total lieb und ruhig – jedes Mal, wenn wir sie gesehen haben, ging uns das Herz auf. Auch das Zimmer war klein, aber mit vielen Ablageflächen sehr praktisch. Die Dusche war gut und den Trinkwasserspender haben wir echt geschätzt. Es war sehr heiss, und da es keine Klimaanlage gibt, kann Remote-Arbeiten herausfordernd sein. Nachts war es mit dem Ventilator für uns aber perfekt und wir haben gut geschlafen. Die Strassen zur Unterkunft waren besser als erwartet, auch für mich als Scooter-Anfängerin kein Problem – selbst im Dunkeln. Und es wird sogar dran gebaut! Die Lage fanden wir super! Danke Mimi!

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour. Nous devions y passer 4 nuits et nous avons tellement aimé que nous avons rallongé d’une autre nuit. Nous étions très bien dans l’hébergement. La vue sur la mer est tellement belle. Le bruit des vagues est apaisant. La piscine est également un beau plus. C’est un bel endroit tranquille. Nous nous y sentions bien. Le personnel est très gentil et accommodant. Merci pour ce magnifique séjour. Je recommande à 100%!!
