Great place in the heart of downtown Sitka. Katy was responsive and very helpful. If your looking for a place to stay that is walkable to all the main Sitka shopping and great places to eat and get coffee this is it. Katy was very helpful and accommodating to my needs based on medical appointments and timing. Very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again if staying in Sitka.

It was my second time staying here and it was the second time it was perfect. Great host, great location, great apartment.

Perfect affordable spot for two couples. The main bedroom is very comforable and the living room queen bed is sectioned off with a folding door. You can't really sleep in the living room bedroom while other people are up and hanging out, but we were there for a family trip, so it worked out fine. I would recommend for it's walkable location, lovely view and affordable price compared to other spots on the island. Thanks for a great stay!

This spot is a must stay in Sitka. It has a great view of Mt. Edgecumbe and a beach right out the front door. Leslie provided everything to make us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

If you want the best view in SE Alaska this is your place. Feeling of privacy with easy access to town. Recommended.

Such a great family trip! The adventure of a lifetime. Teal was incredibly helpful and made sure we had every bit of knowledge when we arrived to ensure a fantastic stay. We knowingly went in off season (December) but there was still so much to see and do. We will be back again one day!

We have stayed in dozens of rental homes, and Stone Lantern House is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Highest category. To start, Sitka Travel was incredibly responsive and helpful with choosing some adventures, helping us find paddle boards to rent, and getting groceries to help us since our flight in landed so late. Our host greeted us and was incredibly warm and welcoming. Her home is an architectural gem. The craftsmanship is stunning. And there is an amazing view from every spot in the house. It is clear the house was designed with artists’ eyes and the view in mind. We saw countless bald eagles, some sea lions, salmon jumping, and got to cold plunge. None of us wanted to leave, and I am already dreaming of a day we can return. We feel so lucky the hosts are willing to share their home, and that we got to stay at this incredibly magical spot in the world.

Really enjoyed sitting on the deck. The public transportation in Sitka on the weekend is poor. Sitka is a nice town and really enjoyed the sights. Highly recommend Water’s Edge Bungalow. Would definitely stay there again.

First, Nicki’s photos were SO incredibly helpful when booking! We had everything we needed and more for our stay. The view was incredible, everything was so close and the house was immaculate. Loved every minute!
