What a wonderful home away from home for a long weekend! The house is part of two different worlds - one the rural Norway of the past and the other very much the present. Being on a working dairy farm also made us reflect on the sources of our food and how much we take for granted day-to-day. We enjoyed convenient access to kayaking, hiking, cruising the fjord by ferry to Geiranger, and cooking local foods in the well-appointed kitchen. Special thanks to Synnove for fresh home-baked bread and sending on our way with slices of cake for the journey.

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Nous avons passé une excellente nuit. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps. La maison est belle, bien décorée, équipée et chaleureuse. La vue était incroyable. Nous nous sentions seuls au monde et c'était très agréable. Le jacuzzi était un gros plus pour nous. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés.

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon - everything from useful hiking suggestions, quick to bring us anything we needed, to a magical hotpot experience! We couldn't have asked for more out of our stay of from Venise and Gaby. The location was perfect for accessing the less known hiking spots but still with those spectacular views, as well as being close to the ferry so it was easy to hop over to Volda. It was peaceful and we loved the views over the water, and we made good use of the fireplace for cozy evenings. Don't be put off by the road near by, there is very infrequent cars so you hardly hear anything at all!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful chalet. It was warm, well equipped with amazing views over the mountains. Ski-in/ski-out made the skiing with the kids very relaxed. We would love to come back!

This was our second stay with Jon Robert & Anna. It is a beautiful place across a small road from the lake with mountain views - including views of waterfalls & the glacier. The apartment is decorated with personal touches, making you feel like you are at home. There are MANY things to do just a drive away. Ålesund is only an hour away. We also drove to Runde (the famous bird island) from here. Jon Robert has a printed guide book with exact routes on driving tours of the area. He is so helpful and friendly. The apartment is very clean, and in very good condition.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in Tornes. Es war alles genau wie beschrieben und sogar besser, der Kontakt zu Rigmor war super, Check in/out flexibel. Wir fühlten uns sehr freundlich "umsorgt"

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, en vooral de keuken is zeer compleet uitgerust. De smart TV en kachel waren fijn voor de koude avonden. Als we vragen hadden kregen we snel een vriendelijke en behulpzame reactie. We bevelen iedereen het huisje aan!

Veldig trivelig vertskap og utrolig hyggelig og nydelig sted. Takk for oppholdet!

Flott og koselig hus. Et eldre hus, men med moderne fasiliteter - nydelig søtt kjøkken. Litt gulvkaldt, men med tre peiser i huset og bena oppi sofaen har man det helt supert her. Noe råning i sentrum, men øreplugger tilgjengelig på badet fikser det.

Nice and cozy cabin, proper for familirs and groups. Great location close to the ski tracks. Cathrine is a responsible host!

나는 게이랑에르와 트롤스티겐 등 주변 관광을 위해 이 집에 3일을 머물렀고 집은 나의 집처럼 매우 편안했습니다. 깔끔하고 깨끗했으며 청소 도구부터 모든 안내를 섬세하게 적어놨습니다. 다만 페리 선착장 앞이라서 인지 창문을 열면 파리가 좀 들어옵니다. 집안은 조용하고 평온했습니다.

Kristin was a wonderful host, very responsive if we needed anything and was so friendly and kind. The apartment was very cozy and the main bedroom was very spacious and comfortable! I absolutely loved how the whole place was decorated. Felt very warm and inviting. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Gezellig ingericht huis met een fantastisch uitzicht en een leuke tuin met fruitbomen en struiken. Een aanrader!

Randi is an amazing host. We didn’t actually meet, but felt she was extremely hospitable from multiple text exchanges. Her home is so classic Norwegian. It is, as she said, the home she grew up in. She and her husband built a home nearby on the acreage. The home is very spacious and would easily serve the needs of several family members (We were two!) Note that the setting is a few miles from the small village of Hellesylt, the launch point for the ferry to Geiranger. In that sense it is perfect, but you will need to have a vehicle. We ended up taking two trips to Geiranger. The setting for her home is utterly spectacular, one of the most beautiful sites we’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend.

Boligen bærer preg av å være umoderne, men dette stod i en tidligere anmeldelse og var noe vi var forberedt på. Ellers svarte verten alltid raskt på spørsmål, og det var nok av plass til alle i reisefølget (3 voksne, 2 ungdommer, 2 barn). Vi hadde alt vi trengte for en fin helg i Volda.

La casa di Monica è Ivar è un meraviglioso nido affacciato sul mare, una dimora storica ricca di fascino, bellezza e amore. L'appartamento airbnb è situato al piano terra, ampio e luminoso e dotato di tutti i comfort: cucina perfettamente attrezzata, lavatrice, stendibiancheria. Ogni dettaglio è ricco di gusto e la pulizia è perfetta, letto e cuscini sono comodi e abbiamo dormito perfettamente. La posizione è eccezionale, a 5-10 minuti di auto da Alesund in bella zona residenziale. La vista dalle finestre del salotto è stupenda e uscendo all'esterno si è direttamente affacciati sul belvedere sul mare. Monica è un host perfetto e una persona squisita, lei e Ivar ci hanno davvero fatto sentire come a casa con loro gentilezza e passione per l'ospitalità e i consigli che abbiamo ricevuto per visitare la zona sono stati preziosi. Comunicazione eccellente. Il migliore soggiorno nella nostra nostra lunga vacanza norvgese, non fatevi sfuggire l'occasione di fermarvi qui. P.S. La birra di Ivar è davvero super!

Mona is very kind and hospitable. She met us when we arrived and showed us the place and the surrounding. The house is clean and matches exactly like the photos. It's kitchen is sufficiently equipped. The surrounding is serene and beautiful. In addition, it's just a short drive to Molde. I would recommend Mona's house if you are traveling in the areas. P.S. There are a few steps of stairs to the entrance as well as stairs to the sleeping areas. If you have mobility issues, please be aware.

Helge’s place is beautiful in a great location. Great communication and answered all our questions promptly. Perfect place to stay if you want to be near the center and rest at home.

Edith was a phenomenal host! We received the warmest welcome to the house. We had everything we could have needed for a comfortable stay. The location is beautiful and close to several hikes. Edith was very responsive to any questions that we had and even came to speak with us in person whenever she could. Highly recommend this stay!

Rent, ryddig og hjemmekoselig. God plass til mange mennesker. 20 min. rolig gange fra sentrum. Nydelig hage med solrik uteplass. Ragnhild er en veldig hyggelig vert. Anbefaler stedet på det varmeste. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!
