Lovely one night stay perfect location

Me and my parents booked this place for a night on the way to isle of skye and had the most amazing experience. The airbnb itself was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. And then the grounds around it were even nicer. I was initially drawn in by the pool but we ended up spending the whole night in the billiard room that’s in the old refractory. The staff at the club is super nice and gives you a tour explaining all the history of the place while showing you to the room. Fort Augustus is also a really cute town to explore. overall the best place I’ve stayed so far in Scotland!!

We had a lovely stay at Daniel’s place. The communication and check in instructions were really clear and easy to follow. The location is perfect, conveniently in the centre of town. The apartment is spacious, warm and clean. The only negative is the shower pressure. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Best air bnb I’ve stayed in. View was beautiful, warm, tidy, comfortable bed, all the kitchen appliances and extra bits and bobs to ensure guests are happy. Would highly highly recommend and will use again. Thankyou Sarah!

well we'll what can I say about Sarah.. she is just a beautiful wonderful host inside and out. the place is so spacious very neat and clean.had everything what we needed. fridge and freezer full of food and the most important thing is we could use everything that was so kind of Sarah.she couldn't do enough for us. always checking if we were comfortable and needed anything. loved staying every minute of it. Will definitely come in summer again.just felt like home.thank you so much for everything Sarah. hope you have a wonderful time at NEW YEAR.all the best for 2025 !!

This was our first visit to Skye and the cottage was the perfect place to stay. It is attached to the owner’s home but otherwise in a fairly remote location. The owners are really friendly and helpful and the location is unbelievably beautiful! The cottage was very welcoming with colourful decor, cosy and had everything that we needed. Easy parking for the car outside the door. We stayed with our dog and were all very comfortable during the stay and sad to leave when it was over.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Lock keepers cottage. It was a perfect base for touring this corner of Scotland. A two minute walk to get the train to Mallaig. The steam train passing by twice daily, boats up & down the canal & through the locks, always plenty to see. The cottage was cosy & warm, clean & well equipped. Quiet at night. Comfy bed. Open fire, beautiful views, pub & restaurant within short walk, and flat walks along the canal! We felt very much at home.

Lovely modern apartment, which has everything you need. Perfect location.

The place was beyond our expectations. The views are incredible and it felt so private and peaceful. Inside the house was beautiful, very cozy but modern and they had thought of everything. The kitchen had lots of bits that meant you could cook proper meals which was lovely. Felt right at home and would reccomend it to anyone looking for comfort and tranquility.

Don has been an amazing host. His home is cosy and clean, has everything you need and the view at the back is just stunning my father also enjoyed feeding the birds with the feed Don left. The pub is just a few steps away and is a brilliant place to unwind and great food! Don’s place is the perfect spot to have as your base and travel around the sights of Skye. The village is very friendly and peaceful, myself and my family have had an amazing relaxing trip. The Oyster shed was a brilliant place to visit and just a 10 minute walk from the house. I can’t recommend this place enough and myself and my family will be back 100%. Would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks again Don you’ve been amazing

Elizabeth was a great host, approachable and very friendly. Her house was spotless and felt very homely. Very private with amazing views. Will definitely be staying there again. I have recommended her home to family and friends.

Beautiful little home in a stunning remote location. On our first day we were treated to views of white tailed eagles soaring above the Loch from the big picture window. Debbie had great recommendations for where we could eat out, even out of season, and was very quick to respond and helpful when needed.

Loved this Airbnb, fabulous location and launch pad to explore different parts of the Highlands. Really spacious and we loved the upstairs area - for coffee overlooking the loch in the morning and for post hike movie sessions in the evenings.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lochside Lodge. We were a party of 2 adults and 5 kids aged 5-15 and there was more than enough space for us all. The location is stunning and very peaceful. It was short walk into Dornie (about 10-15mins), which was ideal for us. Another 5 minutes from there was Eilean Donan Castle. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the lodge to anyone and would love to visit again sometime.

I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for my girls trip. This place is centrally located, quiet w beautiful views of the harbor and a dedicated parking spot. Beds were perfect, showers and baths, living area and game room and we appreciated 2 dryers as we were a group of 4 ladies with lots of hiking gear. The welcome pack was great too, I've been trylng to find those seaweed chips everywhere to no avail! It was serene and peaceful right from walking in the door. Every amenity and direction had been carefully thought out and I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a respite while exploring Isle of Skye, just phenomenal. While quiet it's just a quick walk up the steps to take advantage of all Portree has to offer.

We stayed at Margaret’s house from 23 December to 28 December. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The location was great and easy to get around the island. Views from the house were exceptional. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Location, location, location - that is why I choose this listing as my wife was joining me after a business trip to Scotland and I wanted to make sure she was comfortable and we had a nice place to stay. It wasn't inexpensive - this is probably the most we have ever paid - but I know my wife. Looking over the options in Portree, there was too much at risk choosing a B&B or hotel, I needed to be sure that the stay was excellent. And it was! The view was exceptional, the property clean and largely odor-free (it is next to a fish and chips shop, so the kitchen had a bit of an odor, but the bedrooms were odor-free!). I would stay here again, as noted, not inexpensive - but not many choices for AirBnb in Skye so this was by far the best choice in my opinion!

Lyn's place was the perfect getaway for myself and my girlfriend to explore Western Scotland. This was a cosy ground floor apartment that's in a quiet area, immaculate upon entry, contained all listed items and features, and myself and my girlfriend felt comfortable and right at home. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen contained everything we needed to self-cater and there were treats left for us such as shortbreads, caramel bars and jams as an added bonus. The apartment is located next to a beautiful loch and located right near the stunning Ben Nevis and Fort William, with plenty of picturesque locations nearby and guides provided for local walks. Lyn was an excellent host and welcomed us, was friendly, gave us privacy and was responsive with communication. We had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

Its a nice place to stay. Felt like staying in our own house. Will visit again for sure.

This is a spacious, cosy, comfortable place to stay. It's peaceful, remote, in beautiful surroundings - the Atlantic to the West, the mountains of Torridon to the East, and views of Skye from beautiful local beaches. Onie and Ally were friendly and helpful (above and beyond after I'd gone knee-deep in a bog on a walk, making sure my boots dried by morning). The apartment is, if anything, better than in the photos - the comfortable sitting room/dining/kitchen area really spacious. I slept super-well here and had some great walks and drives in the day - taking hundreds of photos.

Beautiful, peaceful spot off the beaten path — couldn’t imagine a better place to stay for my first time to Skye. Takes a bit to get most places, but it’s so worth it to stay in this wonderful home (clean, spacious, private) with a spectacular view from every room! Rosie is a terrific host, extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. She had some eggs, bread and fruits waiting for me after my long drive up, which I found to be a special touch. Her dogs and cat are sweethearts as well! 100% recommend.

Norma’s place was exactly as described and in a convenient location for us to explore Glencoe and Fort William. The apartment had all the necessities for our stay and Norma provided us with bread, spreads, cereal, milk and coffee which was the perfect touch especially for our quick on the go mornings. Would definitely stay here again!

beautifull place with an amazing view. John was also incredibly kind and quick to respond when we got a little lost all due to my own fault. The room was spacious with a nice kitchen and a very cozy area to just chill after a long day of hiking. the room was a bit chilly, but with the heaters it warmed up in no time. If we would stay there again (and we'd love to!) we would've done a bit more groceries in the co-op in Broadford so we'd be able to use the kitchen more. Skye is an amazing place to visit, and staying at John and Ann's place is probably one of the best ways to experience it.

The apartment was lovely, extremely comfy and clean. Fabulous quiet location, which was a perfect base for days out. Jenny was very friendly and helpful. Left us a box of shortbread, which was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again. ☺️
