We had a girls weekend. Celebrating years of friendship. The home was perfect and exactly as described. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. We all loved the hottub. Matthew was extremely responsive. We would book the house again for sure.

Loved the place and easy access to all the stores. Only recommendation I would make is access to washer and dryer. You have to travel a distance to find laundry facilities. Other than that the place is a gem we loved it and so did our fur babies

This was the best gift I could have given for my 10 year anniversary! Amy and Will were very easy to work with and communicated with us well. I have been enjoying my meat bundle that I bought also! This was the most peaceful place I have ever stayed and I will be back!

We absolutely loved Amy's place! It was nice to unwind and take a break from the real world. We felt so at peace and secluded by all of the beautiful views. The place was so clean and made us feel right at home. We can't wait to go back!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and private. Can’t wait to visit again in warmer weather and really explore the area. Cabin is super cozy and has everything you need.

The cabin is awesome, very well equipped and comfortable. We were 11 and 2 dogs and we had a beautiful time for Christmas and New years. Michelle is absolutely a great host, very flexible with check-in and check-out times and responded quickly and very nicely at all times. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful and great quality time. We had 5 teenagers and they absolutely loved being there watching movies and playing board games.

The answer is YES - it really is as absolutely beautiful as the pictures on the listing. It is peaceful, private, quiet & remote. As former farm people ourselves, my family is picky when selecting a spot for our vacations. We're often disappointed in what someone else will consider rural or quiet. This was IT. You can SEE other homes, but you aren't near them. The area is very remote. You can barely hear the road, but even if you did there is VERY, very little traffic. Like 3 cars between dinner & midnight, lol. We barely saw the farm dog & the horse kept his distance. The view is SPECTACULAR. The sunset was incredible every evening. It was gorgeous, restful, & a clear reminder of the creativity of God. The house was very comfortable & well equipped. We didn't need much, but the host was super responsive & helpful. The house had tons of space. We're a small family of 3, but you could easily seat & feed 20 in the main living area. I can't say enough good with so few characters, lol.

My partner and I stayed at Steve's cabin for a long weekend. It was the perfect "homebase" to operate out of for some amazing and epic day hikes we planned for in/around the area. It was cozy, quiet, peaceful, and Steve gave helpful instructions for everything. The wood burning stove was amazing, and did a fantastic job keeping the whole cabin warm all through the chilly nights. The alternative to the wood-burning stove (gas stove) we also tested out once and it did a fabulous job of heating the cabin as well. Would love to come stay again in the warmer temps to enjoy the beautiful porch and firepit. The 1pm check-out was a real treat and something no other airbnb we have ever been at before offered, we had time to take it easy that morning before embarking on the long trip home - it was a refreshing change not feeling rushed the final morning of our weekend away. Thank you Steve for everything!

The cabin is directly on the Creeper Trail. Super convenient. Unfortunately we booked during the hurricane, and lost power, and the area flooded. We only stayed one night due to these conditions, but they issued partial refund. — would have been super convenient for crewing our friend running the yeti 100!

Even though this cabin is small, it feels more spacious due to the large front porch that directly faces the river. Very clean. Nice spot to just relax after a day on the trail.

We stayed during hurricane Helene and felt extremely safe and comfortable at the house. The power went off on Friday morning and the hosts contacted us later once they were able to get a reliable source of internet. We ended up leaving on Friday because Damascus was evacuated. Our hearts go out to the community as the people there were so nice and friendly. Highly recommend this house and this town once they are back up and operating.

We had a wonderful stay in the Hiker cabin. Loved being right beside the Creeper Trail and the creek! Enjoyed sitting on the large deck after a day of biking and listening to the creek. This location is perfect for biking into Abingdon and back. Bed was comfortable and linens were a good quality cotton. The loveseat has power recline which we also appreciated after a day of riding. Our visit was just a couple weeks after Hurricane Helene and downtown Damascus was still cleaning up so we spent a little more time in Abingdon this trip. Our top recommendations there: Barter Theater, Greekos, and Tumbling Creek Cider Company. About 40 minutes south of Damascus (take S Shady Ave) is Blue Hole Falls, a series of 4 waterfalls - very much worth the trip if you have time.

This cabin is close to everything you need in Damascus, but we were so surprised with how private and secluded we felt! The cabins are tucked away off the main road, and there is a privacy tree buffer which adds to the woodsy feel. Although we had neighbors in the adjacent cabin, we could not see or hear them - the decks have great privacy screening. The back deck was by far our favorite place! It is incredibly spacious and we loved the 3 different seating options - swing, rocking chairs, or pub chairs & table. We walked down to the creek and had fun wading. It was wonderful to see and hear the creek and the cows from the deck. The screen door allowed us to sleep with the deck door open so we could hear the creek all night. It was heavenly! The cabin had everything we needed and was super clean. The jacuzzi tub was awesome after a day on the Creeper Trail. We were here two nights in September and had a perfect stay!

It’s a small cabin to relax or as we used it; to clean up and sleep after a day of hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed to make the trip easy and prepare a small meal for two, clean nice bathroom and the bed was comfortable. I can say that we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful retreat with a wonderful front porch

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip celebrating our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! Peaceful, clean, close to Abingdon/things to do, and Rachel was a great host. We will definitely be back!
