Snæfellsjökull : locations de vacances

We had a really lovely stay at Margret’s place. It was clean and warm and absolutely beautifully decorated - felt very special. The beds were incredibly comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was a lot of space for 4 people - a really relaxing end to our holiday. We had one bright day and two wet cloudy ones. No northern lights sadly but it was fun sitting out in the hot tub under a starry sky. We went for a wonderful family beach ride at Stori Kambur which is just 10 minutes east. In the afternoon we walked to Hellnar along the coast and saw lots of humpback whales. One even breached right out of the water. Take binoculars! Sunset near the light house was gorgeous. Everything is very close by on the peninsula so it was easy to see a lot. On our last morning we drove up to the north coast and took a whale watching tour - we were so lucky to see lots of orcas and another humpback whale. The peninsula is a great place to explore and Margret’s house was a perfect base.

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

This was a beautiful cottage just 20 minutes outside Reykjavik, the perfect location to discover the city and do the golden circle. We even saw the northern lights from the property! Was perfect for three adults, one couple (my parents) and myself. Bunk beds are small but so am I—not a problem at all for us but is something to be mindful of 🙂. The setting in he nature preserve allowed me to go on beautiful daily trail runs which were incredible.

Wonderful 2 day stay! Very comfortable space, with great beds and incredible views. We were very lucky and saw the Northern Lights both nights. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Das Haus von Heidrun war sehr schön ausgestattet und ordentlich, sauber. Das Haus liegt im kleinen Waldgebiet. Der Pool ist überdacht. Einen freien Blick findet man aber auch vor dem Haus. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

Kristin‘s place was fully stocked, extremely easy to find and flexible timing when checking in and checking out! It was peaceful and a beautiful location. I would recommend this to anybody who has a family or traveling with multiple families.

Such amazing views in this super cozy cabin! We felt right at home, and was a great location near Borgarnes. Super easy to hop on the road and go sight-see, then come back to a nice warm home after.
