We love our stay at the villa. It’s gated and private with direct access to the lake behind the house. On clear days you can see the three volcanoes at the lake. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Very peaceful, you can hear birds singing. The interior is beautiful and cozy for the four of us. The house manager Juan is there during the day and took great care of us during our stay. We love that we are just a few steps from the center of the village with a church, market and few local shops. Santa Catalina Palopo is a charming, small, very local village. Just 10-15 mins tuk tuk ride away from Panajachel where you can catch public boat to visit other parts of the lake. We are glad we picked this place as our home base during our visit.

Really nice place to stay, it was organized and clean. It also had a beautiful view. Adolfo was great at responding our messages really fast! Would totally stay at Adolfo’s again.

Truly a tranquil oasis. After 2 weeks in another Pueblo on the lake, we treated ourselves to a stay at Casa Valdes. The kids were in heaven in the pool. The kitchen was so well stocked for cooking. Beds incredibly comfortable. Waking up to bird songs out the beautiful windows with breathtaking vistas was heavenly. The walk to the dock to catch a boat ride was easy. Walking up the hill to Santa Cruz was steep but straightforward. Don’t miss a meal at CEPAC in Santa Cruz. The only considerations, which PJ & Stewart outlined very well, is that you must think ahead about meal planning as you are not an easy walk to buy street food easily. Plan to bring provisions (we opted to stock the fridge with fresh tortillas, avocados, lime & salt along with mangos and papayas and were in heaven); make arrangements for Dominga to cook (delicious!) or plan a walk up the hill to CEPAC or a reservation down the dock at iguana perdida. We loved our stay so much!

Gonna was an incredible host! When we arrived (which was earlier than check in), she allowed us to drop off our luggage while we went to go explore the lake and take a trip into Panajachel. The house was beautiful and whenever we needed something, sure enough, there was already printed instructions at the house for help. If we had any questions she was super attentive and responded in a timely manner. We used her recommended private driver, Erick, and he too was incredible. He accommodated all of us very nicely and even gave recs around the Lake and in Antigua. Overall an amazing experience.

The place was quiet and peaceful while being close enough from Panajachel. Both rooms have a balcony and so is the living room directly across the lake and volcano. The walk to the lake is steep, so I suggest skipping it if you are not well conditioned to climb back up. It gets pretty cold in the morning but there is hot water available in the shower as well as shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Daniel was very responsive and made this trip easier for my group and had immediately gotten us a private shuttle from Antigua and back to the city, as well as a private lancha to take us to any villages we wanted to go. Tour guide is included in San Juan la Laguna. A 4x4 was sent to us daily and the driver Ramiro was also very helpful and responsive. If you book with them, you and your group will be the most important people during this trip.

Todo acorde a la publicación, lugar tranquilo y de fácil acceso cerca de restaurantes y lago. Ingrid fue muy mable y siempre estuvo al pendiente de todo.

La verdad un lugar adecuado para pasar un tiempo agradable, comunicación constante hospedaje limpio, todo estuvo super bien, recomendadisimo.

One of my favorite places to stay in San Pedro. Once if the most beautiful homes with so many places to hang out and enjoy. Best location in San Pedro, amazing and responsive owners, and a fully equipped and comfortable place to call home while away. Thank you for my 3rd visit and I promise I'll be back again.

El alojamiento es ideal para relajarse ya sea en pareja o con amigos a 7 minutos en vehículo o TukTuk de San Marcos La Laguna, bastante seguro, en la naturaleza. La atención de Cassie es excelente pero la de Sergio es totalmente maravillosa se encarga de que tu estadía sea espectacular.

Todo estuvo excelente. Valoro mucho que tenga agua caliente, el internet estaba súper rápido y contaba con Netflix

this place was amazing. exactly as described and very clean and tidy. we felt very at home! not necessarily an issue but just putting it out there that there are some dogs that bark quite at you quite a lot if you are trying to walk past them at night which was a bit scary but didn’t alter our stay at all:) definitely worth the price and would stay here again.

Truly stunning home in an idyllic landscape. I love the raw connection to nature and expansive views of the lake. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive - a wonderful stay overall. Would recommend to others ands stay here again!

Great place to stay if you want to be in San Pedro but still have quiet. The casita was beautiful and Ximena was the best super friendly. I definitely recommend. Only thing is that there’s a lot of steps to get up to where the Bnb is. But you’ll find a lot of steps and hills everywhere in the lake. Beautiful place.

Wow. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled on the street in our 4 minute Tuk Tuk from the town center. Christian welcomed us warmly as family and showed us the house and even helped recommend things to do as well as food. The space is beautiful and homey. His wife made us some amazing home made bread as well. The place is big and the kitchen is well stocked with essentials. The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous and serene. We spent time reading and lounging on the hammocks during a rain storm and also during sunny afternoon. We also walked 5 minutes down to the beach to watch sunrise and chill. This was one of the best stays we’ve had so far in Guatemala. It’s truly special to be welcomed to a beautiful home like this. Thank you & we can’t wait to come back again !!

This place was absolutely amazing. The views are incredible and totally worth the hike up to them. It was really nice being able to have someone deliver food to the house if you don’t want to hike down for the day. This was the coolest air bnb I have ever stayed in and I will definitely stay here again if I’m back in Guatemala. We had the most relaxing time here looking out onto the lake.

Very cute oasis! We loved relaxing in the garden with coffee and breakfast. The location was great- super walkable to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved staying at Sunset Lodge! The "treehouse" was even better than I expected. Unfortunately it rained the entire three days we were there, but the place was nice enough that I was happy to stay in. The staff were extremely friendly, the onsite restaurant served delicious, healthy meals, and the surrounding area was peaceful. The walk into Santa Cruz was nice and easy, we even did it at night with our headlamps. It was a great stay!
