I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

I had a wonderful stay. There has been some storm damage to the hut I was due to stay in so Linda called me and let me know she had plenty of other options and put me in a wonderful alternative hut. The hut was spotless, warm (with enough wood to keep me warm all weekend) and cosy. Linda was very friendly and responsive. Moonfleet is a beautiful place to spend some time away from normal life and feel in the country side. I can’t wait to go back!

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! We really enjoyed our stay. The hut has beautiful surroundings which we enjoyed from the hot tub. We walked to a cafe and then drove into the local town and went to a really nice pub. The hut was clean and had everything we needed. Thanks Fiona 😊

Adam Shepherds Hut is the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway. It has everything you need. Staying in the winter months is obviously colder and at night it was 0'degrees. So if your thinking of staying in winter then be prepared to get up in the night to put more logs on the fire. You will need an to purchase an extra bag of logs to keep it going for 2 nights. The Hot Tub was great, the first night we didn't light up the burner early enough to use - as it takes a little while to heat up. And on the second night we thought we would get it going before heading out for something to eat and then it was too hot :D. But it was perfect for the morning and just what we needed after a long hike the day before. The shops are within walking distance and there is plenty to do and lots of beautiful places to visit nearby.

Thankfully we bumped into Sally’s neighbour who walked us to the site. ( we ended up becoming friends with them!) The accommodation wasn’t very clean, but it was well stacked with everything we needed and more. Beds and pillows were terrifically comfortable. Bath was heaven, evenings and mornings were paradise. Loved eating al fresco and the site contained everything to make us relax. A special thanks for bread, REAL coffee! Eggs, butter and milk! We loved it and would love to return. Just more attention required to housekeeping!

Simply stunning both inside and out! You can tell a lot of thought has been put into making this cabin the perfect little peaceful retreat that it is. Super comfy bed (and gorgeous carpentry work) that you can stargaze from, gigantic hot water outside bath, well equipped kitchen, beautiful views, cosy fire and all you can hear are birds and cows. A real country experience. Lots of places to explore, walks to do, wild swims etc. Make sure you stock up on food supplies before you get there so you can really relax. Plenty shops at Minehead. Absolutely loved the little shepherd hut. Everything was as described. It was very cosy and once I got to grips with the stove, it was lovely and toasty (& when I came the nights were very cold). Rustic & simple, but had everything I needed. Loved the quirky garden too & felt very private. Thank you. Heather

A dream holiday! My partner and I came to Dunster to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and it couldn’t have been a more perfect get away. James greeted us as we arrived and was very friendly and informative. He recommended great places to visit and we are so grateful he did as we saw areas we wouldn’t have thought to go and see. The location was perfect. We felt so content and calm from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. We had said before leaving we would be back! 11/10, amazing. Thank you Gaynor x

Second visit this year💗 This place well and truly has my heart. I’ve never been anywhere in my life that I have felt so peaceful then this place (and I have travelled to so many beautiful countries). Dreamview Shepherd Hut are absolutely breathtaking, I could not recommend them enough. If your contemplating booking, don’t think just book it you won’t be disappointed. Melanie has thought of every little detail you could possibly need. I love this place so much, from sitting in the hot tub watching the stars to laying in bed with the cosy fire lit. I don’t ever want to leave this place. Please keep these huts forever!💗 Thank you so much Melanie and family - you have truly out done yourselves with this venue. Camilla was an amazing host. We enjoyed it so much we’re thinking of returning very soon. Absolutely beautiful scenery and the place itself is lovely too. So nice to be away in the middle of nowhere!

Gorgeous please to spend the weekend, surrounded by peace and tranquility. We loved visiting Sherborne with its lovely independent shops and bakeries. We enjoyed stopping for lunch at the lay cock cider farm shop and cafe and had a brilliant dinner at the Queen’s Arms pub. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We booked both Shepard’s huts to stay with family. They were spotlessly clean, the kids loved the wood pile and we made use of the BBQ / fire pit. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’ll be back

We really enjoyed our stay at Fiona’s Shepherds Hut. It was decorated and finished to a high standard, very comfortable and actually feels bigger inside than expected! The log fire was great (although it gets very hot very quickly, probably our fault and put one too many logs on, we actually had to open a window at one point!). Fiona was very responsive to our questions and queries, including when the solar power went off due to the poor weather. (The farm shop directly over the road also do an incredible breakfast!) Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and is an ideal base for a quiet weekend away. Thank you Fiona!

Lovely peaceful setting. Great view. Walks straight from the hut. Hot tub was great after a long walk. Loved meeting the goats. Clive was a great host. The app had all the info you would need and was especially helpful when arriving as it contained photos of exactly where you were going which was very helpful as the hut is tucked away down a lovely track access that you would be nervous was the correct one if you didn’t have the directions. Great stay would love to return.

I had the best few days at Sallys shepherds hut. It was exactly as described (in fact, probably more roomy than I thought it would be!) Paddy showed me around when I arrived and I could contact them both if I needed anything. The hut had all the essentials that I needed and being able to park right next to it was really helpful. A few days away for some peace and quiet was just what I was after and it absolutely delivered. My spaniel loved the field to run around in too, just opening the door in the morning to let him run outside was nice. The weather wasn’t the best (very rainy) but to come back and light the fire to warm up was great and the hut holds heat well, I wasn’t cold at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and I’d highly recommend it. Perfect location for hikes, getting to the beach and some lovely pubs in the village for dinner. The copper kettle is great for breakfast too! I didn’t want to leave! Thanks again Sally and Paddy for everything.

We had the most perfect stay in the beautiful shepherd's hut, surrounded by stunning scenery. Chloe is such a lovely and kind host, and her thoughtful touch with the breakfast hamper was greatly appreciated. My partner, Amy, and I had an unforgettable time on our very first getaway together as a couple. The hot tub was an absolute highlight, and we loved cozying up around the fire pit. This is the ideal romantic retreat, offering all the luxuries of the countryside. We can't thank Chloe enough for such an incredible experience, and we’ll definitely be back! Wow what a special place. Dreamy hot tub and outdoor fire. The hut is decorated like a luxury hotel, lots of small special touches - fire wood to make a fire; board games to play, bath robes and slippers. We had the truly magical two nights away - perfect for some romantic time. We nipped into Wells on Saturday for the market (bus/car less than 10 mins) picked up lots of treats then enjoyed a lazy Saturday evening back at the hut under the stars. Lou was fantastic host, she helped set up the hut for my girlfriend’s birthday before we arrived which was incredibly kind and much appreciated.

Clare and Luca have created a unique space to unwind in nature. It’s private with plenty of space to enjoy inside and out. It was a special treat having a wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven and all the little details made everything extra enjoyable.

I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for some peaceful, alone time. It is secluded and the surrounding area is breathtaking. The interior is beautiful, and all the little small gifts bring so much joy. The bed is very comfortable and we had such a good night of sleep after the hot tub. All the instructions were clear and we had no questions as everything was ready waiting for us. Thank you! 🌟

We had the most luxurious weekend just before Christmas. Brilliant hosts. Stunning location, looking out over the valley, watching the alpacas roam. The hut feels very private, down its own little footpath. The 2-person hot tub isn't overlooked by anyone else and no one would ever pass by (unless they were lost). Robes and towels provided. The hut is very cosy and warm - even when we only used the heated towel rail. The wood burner is fantastic (wood supplied free of charge). The bed folds down from the wall into the space where the table/benches are. Cooking facilities are two hobs and a microwave, with all pans/utensils we needed. Fantastic shared facilities as well: we used the indoor pool and table tennis - although it was hard to peel ourselves away from our beloved hut! We were there during a mega storm and (a) the hut stayed super cosy and (b) Simon and Claire were super responsive when the storm knocked out the water pump. What a fantastic weekend - can't wait to go back!

My partner and I had the most incredible stay, we cooked on an open fire, surrounded by beautiful wildlife and bathed in the hot tub looking at the stars. Angela was an amazing host, the place was perfectly described and no stone was left unturned. We did take a stroll to 2 of the local pubs and ate at one of them on our second night but we were looking for rural, peaceful and private and the hut delivered all that and more. We took a stroll after check out to stour head as per Martyn’s recommendation and it was beautiful. We fully intend to return sometime in the future.
