Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt, die Unterkunft ist toll gelegen, sodass man grade am Abend den Sonnenuntergang genießen und anschließend vom hot Tube aus die Sterne beobachten kann. Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

We loved the little space we had for ourselves Although it is busy with workers right behind our space which means no walking around naked 😅 but hot tub and grass patch was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway And it is still somewhat private and definitely feels peaceful Maybe an AC for hot summer days would be great We loved it and would recommend

Came here last year as I grew up in the hermitage and brought my Thai fiance and she just fell in love with the place. The animals, nature, mountains and friendly people. Love it here and came back longer this time and will be back every year.

Mongoose Lodge is stunning!! The house is well equipped, very comfortable, decor is beautiful and the view is outstanding 😍 We didn't have time to enjoy any of the wonderful facilities but hopefully we'll be back for a longer stay very soon. We felt very spoiled with fresh garden roses, wine, rusks and the Christmas decorations were a special touch!! Everything was great 👌🏻

Sundowner cottage was more than one could have asked for. Jackie has a stunning reserve and waking up to the wildlife each morning was exactly what the souls needed to recharge. We discovered walks in the reserve and time away and discovering surrounding gems like Leipzig etc was more than we bargained for. Jackie, thank you for a most incredible time away, the cottages are pristine, comfortable, easy to feel at home and secluded to totally enjoy Nature. We will be back to stay real soon. Thank you

We had the most wonderful stay at Rivergate. The farm is gorgeous and peaceful and if you like these sort of environments, this place is for you. Our family enjoyed the beautiful interiors and exteriors and the hot tub was an utter hit with the kids. A highlight was the fresh breakfast basket delivered every morning. The farm has lots to enjoy from kayaks and canoes for the river, walks, flower picking and more. It was such a delight and I hope we can be back for a visit in the future. Our one negative was that we unfortunately had small bats nesting in the roof of our bedroom which disturbed us in the evenings. The Rivergate family was seeing to their removal so hopefully they won’t be a bother for anyone else. It’s a rural and beautiful setting so understandably you will share space with some creatures but this did not detract from the wonderful stay here.

We enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful and private. We loved the wood-fired hot tub!! The unit was clean and we loved the location.

We had a wonderful weekend, loved it all from the sweet little dogs to the outside shower. It was an excellent home away from home.

We booked Penny's place at the last minute and she was more than willing to assist us. The space is lovely, we enjoyed meals in the open plan kitchen with a view over the valley. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The shower was piping hot and clean which was superb on a rainy cold weekend. Full dstv bouquet allowed us to enjoy the UCI XCO races. All in all, an incredibly pleasant weekend. Thanks Penny.

This place exceeded expectations—far better than the photos suggest. Unlike many rentals that overpromise, this home truly delivers. Every detail inside reflects care and thoughtfulness, from the cozy decor to the quality finishes. It’s clear the space was created with love, making for a warm, peaceful, and memorable stay.

It was a fabulous experience to stay four days in the perfect peace, quiet and beautiful surroundings of Hill Cottage. The house is full of character and comfortably furnished. Swimming in the lake after hiking and running the waterfall circuits was unforgettably good for the soul! Would definitely return.

We nearly didn’t go because of the amount of rain they had recently but I am so happy we went. Our host and her husband truly went the extra mile for us and we really couldn’t thank them enough. Loved our stay.

This is my second stay at Die Werf and it truly feels like my home away from home. Camilla's friendly, responsive communication really made the stay an outstanding experience. The cottage is kitted out with everything one needs and the braai and fireplace work really well for making a cosy atmosphere and a lekker braai using wood that can be purchased locally. Everything has been thought of including picnic baskets, beach towels, extra blankets, etc and those special touches. Fynbos port welcome drink on arrival and special dog treats for my Pekingese. This is my favourite go-to in Paternoster to relax, enjoy the beach, walk and swim or spend a cosy night in with a bubble bath and a movie available on the various channels. Thanks so much!

A beautiful cottage in a stunning setting. Very clean and well equipped, we will definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the milk cottage. The cottage itself was very beautiful, well layed out and equipped with everything we needed. There were also books which our 2 year old son enjoyed reading and playing with. The property was also amazing with play areas and lots of toy trucks and a deck where you get a spectacular view of the maize plantation and the drakensberg.

Beautiful, peaceful location. The view was astonishing and the home itself was amazing, clean and stylishly decorated. The drive there followed a beautiful scenic dirt road and instructions to get there were very thoroughly communicated. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The area also offers lots to do and lots to see. We would recommend this place to anyone in future.

Surrounded by nature, it's a perfect secluded location.. Enjoyed the star gazing in the evening and watching the baboons in the morning. Would go back anytime.
