This place was quite a treasure in the woods. We visited during March break and since it was not cottage season, it was super quiet. The view from the house was spectacular. We saw a deer coming by and hanging out for a while. The house was very comfortable and the mattress was excellent! The host, Parker was very helpful and friendly. It was a great getaway from the city and we would love to come back in the future!

My family of 4 drove in on an icy evening (first week in April) and could not have been more grateful for the warm and welcoming sanctuary that is Hygge Haus. From the warm lighting, floor to ceiling windows with a view and cozy touches, we felt right at home. The wood burning stove warmed our bodies and our spirits as we played board games, pieced together puzzles and enjoyed many meals and music together. We were traveling from the midwest US to enjoy a quiet family trip and that is EXACTLY what we got. I would say there isn't much to do in the town during the winter months but Hygge Haus gave us plenty to enjoy. From the hot tub to board games, from hikes to snow shoeing, and from bird watching to binge watching we were more than content. We ventured out one day and bought some yummy local snacks from Abbey Gardens and ate lunch at Halliburton Brewing Co. (the staff and food were out of this world) Kid friendly to boot! Beds were comfy, space immaculate. Can't wait to come back!

Our family had an amazing time at the cottage. We enjoyed the lake for paddle-boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking and the views. The fire pit was a hit with privacy and quiet evenings. The cottage was spacious and the dining table had a lot of space for our family for all meals. The kids enjoyed their bunk beds and the ping pong table in rainy days. All of us had our own space/rooms and enjoyed that as well, as we had 3 families staying there. The kitchen had all of the necessary materials needed to make our stay feel like “home” away from home. Our only complaint was the stairs to the lake were steep and difficult for the older guests to climb up and down daily. We definitely got our steps in so the younger guests didn’t mind this. We had a great week stay and loved the cottage and lake activities!

The location is amazing, a short walk down the trail to the public beach was a great bonus. The lake is perfect for swimming! The place felt very homey, and the nostalgia of watching a movie on VHS is so much fun. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Really enjoyed our stay at this very clean, nicely furnished, well equipped and nicely located cottage. Loved reading and having a morning coffee on the dock. Nice quiet lake. Not too long a drive.

We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Vijay and Latha are the amazing hosts and the property is beautiful and homely. The hosts always responded quickly and the property was spot clean with all the listed amenities. We look forward to visiting the property again in different season.

We had a great time. Sir Sam’s ski hill nearby. Hot tub was great for those days when ski hill was not an option. There is fast internet at the cottage. Very private and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at the cabin on Golden Lake was absolutely perfect! As always, we were warmly greeted by Cindy, whose friendly smile and attentive care make every visit feel extra special. The cabin was already warm upon arrival, and its cozy ambiance welcomed us for a relaxing weekend getaway. We were delighted to find delicious Lindor chocolates waiting for us—a sweet and thoughtful touch! The log cabin itself is absolutely charming, with its 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The terrace offers stunning views of Golden Lake, where you can enjoy ice fishing or skating right outside your door. Plus, we discovered an incredible skating trail in the nearby woods—an absolute must-try for outdoor enthusiasts. We can’t wait to come back again. This Muskoka getaway was amazing! I booked the cottage for a girls weekend. With the ice storm Bracebridge got during the week, Kevin kept me well updated with power updates. He was was great to communicate with, very friendly and very responsive. The cottage itself was beautiful and had plenty of space and parking for everyone. Check-in was super easy and everything was clean and as described. All of the girls commented on how great the cottage was and liked how much space there was and that there was a pool table, dart board and hot tub. I also hosted an in-person Clue Game, and it was great having so many rooms. We didn't use the pool as it wasn't open (winter season) but the pool would be so nice in the summer with the sundeck attached. I can't wait to book again, maybe a summer getaway! Thank you Kevin! :)

enjoyed our night away in the Yurt tent! was clean and beautiful the grounds were well organized and the Hot Tub was amazing and needed for my recent diagnosis in health! lots of beautiful stuff to do around, especially hiking which is our favorite! love all of what Sandor and his family have done with this old school house and the grounds!

Very nice place to stay! Comes as advertised, easy to find, and peaceful. Would recommend as a budget vacation option.

Once again we had a great stay! This was our second year staying at Kunals' place and it was just as we expected. Kunal went above and beyond to accomodate us. Unfortunately a wk. before, due to a bad storm, the liner of the pool was damaged so the pool was inoperable. This is one of the main highlights of Kunals' place for us so it was a little disheartening because we were there for 8 days...HOWEVER, once again Kunal came through!! He purchased an 18ft back up pool and had it assembled and ready to go for our arrival so that we could still enjoy a pool!! My sister and I had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet and would stay at Kunals place over an all inclusive Carribbean trip anyday! House was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed. Kunal gave us late checkout which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be doing an extended stay next summer and are so looking forward to it! Thanks Kunal, you are a great host and we thank you for being so accomodating!!

There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

Our stay was perfect! Monica and Richard was wonderful hosts. The house was extremely clean and cozy. And thanks to the calmness of the surrounding we had great sleep. We couldn’t ask for more!

I had an amazing stay at "Peace" of Eden! The property is incredibly beautiful, spacious, and peaceful—perfect for unwinding. Deborah and Ross are fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. When I mentioned the microwave wasn’t working, they replaced it the very next day! The place was spotless, and the serene atmosphere made me feel like I could sleep all day. I highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

Darren has found a real gem here on Sweets Lake. We feel lucky to have spent the week there. The road side of the cabin has a nice fire pit with a real charcoal grill and picnic table with lots of room to hang out with a ton of trees around. If you prefer shade you can have it all day. If you prefer sun, there is a great spot on the little wrap around deck to sit and enjoy, or down the stairs at the dock there was sun all day every day. The water is crystal clear and gets deep fast. There is no problem jumping off the dock. I'm not sure what's in the lake but we caught some bass and a pike. The cabin itself is small but really cool. If you catch a chill the little wood stove heats it up in 2 minutes. The folks in Coe Hill are all super friendly. The Mercantile store at the turnoff was really cool with 14 rooms of various wares. The week at this little cabin made me wish I had a spot like this. OH, the outhouse is the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen with a view!

We only stayed at Melissa's place for 1 night, but it was exactly what we needed. The facilities were all very clean, including the bunkie that we stayed in. It was cool to see all of their farm animals, and they also had a lot of different add ons that you can purchase to make your trip more worth your while.

I had a wonderful solo experience at Catherine's cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed to cook simple delicious meals. BBQ for dinners and the frying pan was perfect for breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, which you can enjoy from the private dock or from the cabin. It was only a 15 minute drive away from beautiful hikes and the grocery store or butcher. Very grateful to have found this place and will definitely come back.

Exactly what we were looking for! Pictures couldn’t do this place justice, such beautiful surroundings and the house was beautiful. House is just as described and it even had two electric stoves that were super useful for preparing meals since it was too cold for the BBQ. Jess was super responsive and accommodating as well! We saw lots of deers and heard a wolves pack!! Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for a place to unwind and disconnect, cant wait to be back. thank you for allowing us to stay :)

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

Was very comfortable to stay at Thomas's cottage. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 kids in the winter. The sauna was especially nice. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything worked well and communication was great.

Zac and Steph were super friendly and responsive. Their place was very clean and exactly as described. We had a lovely weekend in the pod :) Definitely would recommend.

This was our second stay at Cheryl's. It's a great place to relax and have a peaceful vacation.
