What's one thing you look for when you are searching for say a cottage or a cabin or a homestay? Quietness, serenity with a pinch of belonging. Property at birdwood cottages provide you just that, situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and also the crowded Mall road of Dalhousie, this place submits you to just relax. Great location, beautiful interiors, great caretakers who make great home made food of your choice. touristy spots are not too far away, ample car parking place, good wifi. The best part of the stay has to be the 2-3 km flat trail circuit in the woods to rejuvenate your mornings. i think late September to early December is the best time to enjoy the flora & fauna of this place before the snow engulfs the area.

Basil teacher, as she's known around, is one of the most meticulous hosts we've come across. The place is surrounded by lush sylvan and the Meenachil river. It's quiet and wonderful. The quarters we stayed in has such an amusing history to it. It's got beautiful furniture that are at least 70 years old. The home where Teacher resides is over 170 years old and is a stellar construction. Basil teacher is a generous and thoughtful host. We had informed her that one of us has an ankle injury, and coincidentally or not, we found an ice pack in the refrigerator. The kichenette has everything you need. Despite it, she'll happily offer coffee in the morning. The breakfast is heavenly. Special thanks to Shyamala chechi as well, who is the helper. Teacher will also tell you a bit of local history which is very interesting. In all, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay for us.

The stay was absolutely perfect! The property looked exactly like the photos on the app, with no surprises. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was easily accessible yet felt wonderfully private and peaceful. The beautiful garden and the dogs on the property who’d greet us whenever we went out and came back..added to the charm, creating a calm and homely atmosphere. It was the ideal place for a relaxing getaway, and we had a wonderful vacation. Highly recommend!

Anura und seine Familie haben uns so freundlich empfangen, dass wir uns direkt wohlgefühlt haben. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig und es wurden problemlos alle Wünsche (vegetarisch, kein Öl) berücksichtigt. Außerdem hatte er gute Tipps zur Gegend und konnte uns bei jedem Anliegen helfen. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft sehr weiter :) vielen Dank für alles!

What a lovely stay in the tranquil canals of the backwaters. While different from many other air bnb's we've stayed in (there is no private kitchen, for example), Praveen and his family's upstairs space is a nest of comfort! With two large rooms, each with separate bathroom, and a large common area, it is a half in and half out living space with a beautiful vista over the canal. Papa is an unbelievably generous and skilled cook, who delighted our tastebuds with "Kerela specials" and made our kids favorite requests (coconut pancakes!). He even made us some lemon and mango pickle for the road! Praveen's mother is a sweet kind presence, too. And not enough good words can be said about Praveen as host. Willing and generous with time, his network of connections allowed us to experience and enjoy all that this region has to offer...from kayaking to sunrise boating to errands in Allapy city--Praveen helped with every one of these with grace and humor. Thank you all!!

We stayed two days at there location is good just walkable distance from Colva beach, spacious parking, need some improvements in kitchen area and hot water otherwise overall nice according to the price 👍🏻

Todo perfecto ! La comunicación con Jacob fue muy buena. El apartamento amplio. Ideal para familia o amigos. Tiene todo para cocinar. Lo que faltaba le pedimos y nos trajo al apartamento. Lo único que las camas son muy duras. Para lo que nosotros estamos acostumbrados

We recently had the pleasure of staying in Mr.Shivram's place. This experience was truly remarkable. Both property and host exceeded our expectations I highly recommend this cottage for relaxing and rejuvenating gateway . In future if we get another chance to visit Kathmandu, we will surely choose this place.

Am coming back for the 2nd time to this place, feels right at home and the locality is pleasant. Straight view to the valley of Kodai. I would definitely come back again.

I only stayed at Mandukya for a night and wished I stayed longer! This place is luxury in the mountains, beautiful villa with stunning views and modern amenities in the room. The loft was my favourite besides the 5 beautiful dogs in the property. Staff were very friendly, super responsive and made my stay worthwhile. A plus is that they run a full fledged kitchen, with digital ordering facility! Loved the overall experience.

My stay at Mr. Ramana’s Airbnb was a great experience. The property was really nice, well-furnished, and spacious enough to comfortably fit ten guests, making it a great choice for big families. Air conditioning in each room and the hall kept everything cool and comfortable. Plenty of furniture made it feel homey and practical. The property is exactly as shown in the photos. The rooms are nice and clean. The host is extremely friendly <3 The only gripe was the location. The property is adjacent to the railway track which can obviously get loud and noisy at night. It is in a residential colony where finding transport is not difficult but inconvenient.
