South Hams District : locations de vacances avec sauna

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

The accommodation was ideal for us as a family of 4. There was a generous welcome pack and Mike in the fridge. The static caravan was spotless inside with a well equipped kitchen. It was easy to get keys and we were given a warm welcome at reception and could have an early check-in. Perfect for a short stay and would be a nice base for a summer holiday too.

You will not be disappointed with your stay at this gem of an apartment. stunning views ,fantastic facilities & absolutely zero complaints! We hope to return! Thank you 😊

Des is an absolute legend. We booked this last minute and the speed of his response was equal to the speeds of a peregrine falcon. The place was flawless and we had use of wonderful amenities including but not limited to the tennis court (Harry lost) and outdoor pool. This place is an absolute bargain.

Lovely little spot on the edge of the moors, sauna and swimming pool are a 1min walk from the flat, but are fantastic and well maintained. The hot tub is excellent, not as private as you might think :) and takes a bit of love and attention to heat up, but worth it! Flat is small and homely, perfect size for a couple!

Pam’s communications are outstanding. Loved the site, the caravan was a great base and everything that you needed. Beach was stunning. The staff on the site were super friendly. The only downside is the caravan was at the top of the hill which could be a problem for people with mobility issues, but for our family it wasn’t a problem. Would definitely return

Stunning setting, beautiful grounds and the perfect break for a young family. Our kids loved the pool and the games room, very well situated for trips to Totnes and Dartmouth. Sheila and Richard were very welcoming and responsive hosts - we had a great time, highly recommend the space and the hosts!

This was exactly as advertised and what I expected. So clean, so pleasant and great value for money. Will recommend and will return!

We were delighted by everything the apartment had to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The location was within walking distance of most of the places we wanted to go. Having off-street parking is an absolute bonus in Exeter, and having room for 2 cars was fantastic. The proeprty has been modernised, itwas clean with good natural light and was excellent value. If we require accommodation in Exeter again, we would be trying to book here again

What a gem of a place! So glad we found this. Beautiful two storey apartment, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, large rooms with lovely high ceilings, had everything we needed and more. Beautiful sea views, ample free parking, friendly staff in apartment reception and hotel. Couldnt ask for me, would definitely stay again and highly recommend .

We really enjoyed our stay at Orchard View. The beds were comfortable, the showers were perfect, hot water was plentiful, the fridge was huge and the cooker was great. The swimming pool and sauna were fantastic and added a lot to our winter break. We liked the one hour booking slots; there was only one other apartment occupied so we had plenty of choice. The apartment was cold when we arrived. It did warm up in most of the rooms after a day or so (storage heaters do take a while to really kick-in) however, there was no heating in one shower room and toilet, so they remained cold. With two other bathrooms in the apartment, that wasn't such a problem. One thing that I don't feel is apparent in the photos is that the second double bedroom does not have an outside window. The window in that room opens onto the hallway by the front door of the apartment, so direct fresh air into that room isn't possible. Although you could of course think of it as a nice cosy space instead :-)

We hope to return again next year! It was perfect.

We had a lovely stay at Poolside. The location was great to see lots of places in Cornwall. The pool was a great addition, and being able to book it for an hour private per day use was ideal. The bottle of Prosecco and fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The sofa wasn’t the comfiest, and the towels were quite small, but overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Cornwall/have a relaxing getaway.

David is a very responsive and friendly host, he answered all my silly questions before the arrival. Place was as described with beautiful, warm open plan upstairs. Downstairs was a bit damp but I think it’s due to the way it’s been built, it’s quite shaded from sun. Overall the surrounding was really great, peaceful and with lots of things to do. David has provided us with some leaflets and recommendations on the local must see. We’ve had a wonderful time in Cornwall.

Amazing as always! So much to do with our daughter and we felt right at home as we did last year. Abi as always is an amazing host and extremely responsive. The lodge was warm and felt just like home. The beach, activities and restaurants were great. Thanks you Abi 😄

An amazing little gem in the tree tops. Little Staddles had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing weekend away. The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished and great little touches like the coffee machine, milk frother, bath robes & blue tooth speaker made for a lovely time. Claire was a wonderful host and provided helpful tips for local walks and places to eat. Relaxing in the secluded hot tub looking up at the stars was a great way to finish each day after long walks and trips out. Would definitely recommend.

Cath and Mike went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They are both so friendly and accommodating. They included a bottle of Prosecco as it was Valentine’s Day and offered late checkout. The annexe is so cosy and has everything you could need. The dressing gowns and slippers for the hot tub was a bonus. We would love to visit again in the summer when the pool is open.

We had a lovely stay in Rye cottage. The area is peaceful with beautiful views and public footpaths nearby for walks or runs. The cottage itself is a nice environment to spend time in and has thick walls so we weren’t bothered by other guests on site. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus! Hot tub was a bit on the cool side and sauna needs a while to heat up before use - both need pound coins (for hot tub bubbles and heating sauna). Sabrina and her partner were very friendly and helpful.

Badgers House was the perfect venue and location for a large family break. House was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The indoor pool proved a knockout with the children - especially as the weather wasn’t great! The indoor games room was a hit for the male adults, who enjoyed hours of pool, and they hit the gym too. The woodland walk was perfect, we spotted a male deer, the children loved it! Hide and seek in the house was so exciting and kept the little ones entertained for hours! Thank you to Max and Alex for being superb hosts and giving us this beautiful home and setting to enjoy. Our granddaughter broke her heart to have to leave! We will definitely be returning and may need Toad Hall next time for more family members to come along and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful place.

We had a fantastic stay at Middle Mews. The house is exactly as shown in the photos and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful, the perfect place to get away from it all. Middle Mews provides everything you could possibly need and more. Duncan and Sue have thought of everything. They were fantastic hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. The house information packs ensured we knew how everything worked and what local amenities were available. The spa facilities were the icing on the cake. We both said we cannot remember the last time we felt so relaxed. We cannot recommend Middle Mews enough for anyone looking for a stress free break.

Very comfortable and nicely decorated with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Quiet location but close to village for groceries and pub etc as well as local attractions. Anita was very helpful and responsive to questions.
