Wonderful place to stay. Even better than the photos. Very spacious but cosy too. Great amenities, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, lots of hot water and towels. Lovely touches such a dressing gowns and even some welcome sparkling wine. Hot tub was wonderful, secluded but you don’t feel enclosed, as you can see the stars! Great sized driveway, and quiet location with gorgeous views. Easy access to local main roads which take you throughout the area. We managed road trips to Edinburgh, castles and the Isle of Arran! Beautiful farm shops near by and a useful Asda too! Highly recommended as a romantic place to stay for pre Christmas holidays!

The Hayloft was an absolutely lovely, cosy space. Short jaunt to the nice private enclosure for the hot tub. Angela was very friendly and welcoming on arrival, explained everything really well and left us to it with offer of help if we needed. Altogether a great wee weekend away for us and the dog. Thanks so much!

Our stay at the Distillers Cottage was absolutely amazing. From the day it was booked we were so excited to get there and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint, if anything, it was even better than what we were expecting. Jenny was a fabulous host and responded to all questions and made the whole process so easy. When we arrived we loved looking around the place and seeing all the animals. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed to ensure we had an enjoyable and memorable weekend. We also did a gin tasting session at the distillery and this was definitely a highlight. Thank you to Mary for this, she made the experience so fun and entertaining for us. Our personal highlight from our stay was star gazing from the hot tub - just wonderful! Thank you so much ☺️

I booked a 3 night stay at Birkwood Cottage for my family, with 2 younger children. The cottage was absolutely perfect for us. It's situated on a private road within a very picturesque woodland Estate. The surrounding gardens and woods were amazing, particularly for our autumnal visit. The cottage itself was very comfortable and the rooms were spacious with lovely antique furnishings. It's the first Air Bnb I've rented that I wanted to spend more time staying inside. Fiona was a perfect host with great advice on local amenities and checking that we were comfortable. The directions and instructions were super clear so we easily accessed and made use of the property with no questions. I would highly recommend a stay at Birkwood Cottage if you are looking for a quite and scenic stay with easy access to local towns or a base for visits to Glasgow & Edinburgh.

Michelle is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. So welcoming. Our stay was for a wedding nearby and I could not recommend Cairn cottage highly enough. The views are absolutely fantastic and I would not hesitate to book this gem again.

I was actually surprised by the backdrop to this cottage, an idyllic village with stunning views all around. The cottage itself was spacious, cosy and well equipped. Hazel was absolutely amazing in her communication, especially when we turned up late due to some travel problems and had to be reminded of all the check in details late in the evening. Can not recommend enough.

Had a great, relaxing four days. House was easy to find and had everything you would want and more. From fresh fruit and flowers to milk in the fridge. House was lovely and warm on arrival too which was great on a cold wet day. Kitchen was so well stocked. Large casserole dishes to slow cookers all in there. No shortage of glasses or utensils which at times can happen at rentals. Plenty of clean fresh towels in every bedroom and bathroom. We had our dog with us and he wasn’t missed either with a nice pack of treats. Well kept garden and a big open space for the kids to run around in also. Only small thing was you had to drive out for walks as the house is not on a route and has no pavements to walk out on. Strathaven itself has enough to keep you busy and has some nice little cafes and bakers! Just a great place to get away to. Yvonne was brilliant and so responsive. Kindly dropped Halloween baskets off for the kids too. Loved it! Neil

The cottage is lovely and in such a tranquil location. Accessible to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It was immaculately clean and very cosy. Just what we needed.

Loved our stay here. Property is well laid out with great amenities. Really clear instructions on how to get there as it's a bit off the main road. Beautiful location.

Very nice cottage in sublime surroundings. We used it as base for trips to the west coast which probably was a bit of a stretch considering the winding road down the mountain :-)

We had a great stay at Nicola's cottage. It was very peaceful and surroundings were beautiful. It was perfectly located to allow us to visit both Glasgow and Edinburgh. The cottage itself had all the amenities we required and was very spacious. Nicola was also a great host, very helpful and responsive! We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic stay in a beautiful home. Our family of five had plenty of space to spread out and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the wonderful village of Strathaven, and the great home. We very much appreciated the robes and slippers, which added to the coziness and comfort of the home. Naomi's suggestions for a local coffee shop and the best place to catch the train for Edinburgh were incredibly helpful. Our kids loved seeing the animals nearby (and especially enjoyed a visit from David the goat who Naomi brought down for us to pet). The house had everything we needed and was close to restaurants and supermarkets in the nearby village. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a day exploring all around Scotland. We highly recommend!

Julie was a great host. we really enjoyed our stay. Julie came to check on us to make sure we were happy with everything and to see if we needed anything. would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
