Great spot! The location could not have been more perfect for walking to family members in the area and shopping. House was ideal for our family of 4. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home as we were so far away from Arizona. House was very clean as well. Thank you for being so responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at Joannes home! It is so perfectly located to do all we wanted to - seaglass hunting!! Huge benefit to have the parking spot on the front drive. Also huge bonus to be in walking distance to ammenities - asda, pharmacy, home shops and food outlets. Everything we needed was here - a home away from home. The tea/cake/milk was a kind touch. Comfy, clean bright airy base. Comfy sofa and bed. Really well decorated and maintained, lovely colour schemes and accents - nothing has been overlooked. Joanne was an attentive host with friendly communication. Wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are ever up North again. Thank you so much!

Tracey was a super host. Her comms were the best of any host I’ve encountered via trip adviser and the information on paper in the property. She also specifically asked for feedback in terms of how she could improve the property. The area isn’t the prettiest to look at but we knew this would be the case as not in a “tourist hotspot town” - but booked it, as a family of 4, for an affordable base, to explore wider Northumberland. I would recommend that you need a car (but the train station is very nearby - you can’t hear the trains though). Day trips to Amble and Alwnick were fantastic, wish we had longer to stay. Will definitely return, hopefully in sunnier weather. The living room is really cosy and our kids loved the tv / sofa set up. Also enjoyed playing junior monopoly and some of the other games!

Easy to find cottage near the sandy beach of a post-industrial area. Perfect for a stopover. Clean and comfortable home, with a cafe serving breakfast two minutes’ walk away. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Lotties place. We travel to Newcastle regularly and this felt like a home from home option rather than staying in hotels. The decor is absolutely beautiful and cosy with every amenity thought of and readily available. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again in the future, hopefully with our dog in tow next time. This is a good place to stay for groups of 3 or 4, travelling by car and planning to visit both the city and the beautiful countryside of Durham County. We went both to both up Weardale to the foothills of the Pennines and to the coast at Seaham on our day trip. This row-house cottage is nice, comfortable with an efficient central heating system. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped. Anthony left us both cows and Oat milk, which was nice. The only downside is that the the tiled floors are cold, if you don't have thick socks or slippers/indoor shoes with thicker soles than the hotel slip-ons that the hosts provide. Also the local pub is a bit further away than we'd assumed and is under new management and no longer serving food. However, Anthony told us about two alternate pubs offering evening meals. The most impressive was The New Board Inn at Hill Top (DH7-(9RL), which has a great Sunday evening quiz.

Fantastic hosts with a beautiful holiday home. Great communication when we had to change our dates pretty much last minute. Very well equipped and everything was absolutely spotless. The double bed was quite possibly the best i have ever slept in. Thank you Ben and Zoe x

A lovely caravan very close to the sea. It was beautifully maintained. The kitchen was excellent. A slow cooker and an air fryer+ a full gas cooker and microwave. I was spoiled for choice!! The price was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely caravan to anyone. Thanks Lynn. A very friendly and helpful host.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

We booked for only 2 nights with not much notice. Great set up for the 3 of us. Could have spent longer there. Not easy to find initially but Jamie responded with remarkable swiftness! Appreciated the flexibility on check out as well. All good.

We stayed at the Lodge for 4 weeks due to a delayed house completion. The location is amazing in every respect. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures suggest - walk in wardrobes amazing for our extended stay. Well equipped, very efficient heating and hot water Long local beach walks with the cafe (great ice cream), literally 15m away. We did not use the entertainment complex but it always looked busy Thoroughly recommended

Lovely stay for the week as a family with 2 young kids. Nice and close to a stunning beach. The holiday home itself was well appointed and very clean - some nice touches and very comfortable. We had a really nice relaxing stay and would recommend for anyone looking to recharge their batteries and have beautiful walks and scenery close by.

Maria was a very responsive and friendly host. This cosy Air BnB is clean and tidy and is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. It is in a great location for Morpeth Centre which has a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. There are also lovely beaches just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our second stay here and would love to return for a third visit!

The flat was warm and cosy on arrival and remained so despite the January weather. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. The front windows caught the winter sun all day, with great views over the Tyne. It was comfortable, relaxing and quiet, just what was needed. The location is excellent for all the village amenities and for the metro station, perfect for trips out to the wider Tyneside area with its wide variety of interesting places. The acid test is whether we'd go again - the answer is a resounding yes.

The cottage was perfect. The kitchen had everything you need, lovely cooking wear and home from home utensils. The log fire (courtesy logs) was beautiful. Really cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable with plush bedding. I have read other reviews and I can honestly say the location was extremely quiet. Yes it’s on a residential street but it was peaceful and both my friend and myself could park our cars right outside. My 6 month old puppy loved it and was well behaved given her new surroundings. Thank you Doreen for your recommendations of dog friendly pubs and excellent communication.

The iron chapel is a wonderful place to stay, full of character, and a lovely place to spend time with family. Lisa and Michael were great hosts, very quick to reply to any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the iron chapel. Andy & Sarah.

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

Ideal, well-appointed house with plenty of space for a family of 5 which is rare. Kitchen was well stocked with all appliances. Very peaceful. Lovely stay. We'd happily stay again.
