Delightful coastal feel with comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 babies. Lisa and Gavin were very helpful throughout the whole process.

Elaine’s house was perfect for us. Firstly it was clean and tidy and decorated to a lovely standard. It also has lots of little extras on arrival. Milk, biscuits etc. There was always plenty of parking too. The kitchen has everything you need. The beach was just around the corner and once you are down the steps/slope, there is a beach cafe right there! We had a lovely walk right down the beach and back along the high street. My daughters loved the parks, one at our end of the beach and the bigger one at the other end. We picked this property as it wasn’t far from Alnwick Castle and National trust locations. We also wanted to be near a city (Newcastle) incase the weather wasn’t great and we could find indoor activities. Thankfully, the weather was lovely and we were out in the fresh air the whole time. But it really is a good location to explore from. Great house, great family memories and I would recommend Elaine’s place to anyone. Thank you Elaine X

This is my second stay at Julie’s caravan and I will definitely use it again the next time I am in Whitley Bay. The caravan is well equipped with everything you need and lots of little extras like toiletries to tide you over if you forget anything. Julie kept in contact to make sure that we were ok and responded to any questions in good time. The caravan is in a great location. The grandchildren enjoyed the swimming pool, park and the small are arcade where they had lots of fun on the slot machines spending 2p’s. It’s a short walk to the lighthouse and the beach. We and the grandchildren had a lovely time and look forward to returning soon.

Lovely flat in South Shields in ideal location. close to a beautiful park and beach. walkable to metro and supermarket nearby. the flat was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children but would also be great for 2 couples. Melanie was super helpful and would definitely loom to stay again

Beautiful seaside apartment. Great base to explore the area. Host was very communicative about check in. The welcome book on arrival was a great help for the local area. The apartment was spotless and had a great set up. Especially liked the small selection of games for entertainment. Will definitely stay here again if available when visiting the area.

What an absolute find! The photo's really don't do it justice, private, quiet, spotless and high end are the words I'd use to describe this holiday home. Carrell is lovely and has a wealth of local knowledge and also places to visit a little further a field. Stunning beaches locally, with miles of walking for our dogs, who had the best time. Lots of great places to eat, a castle around every corner, great photo opportunities and memories to make. We'd would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending to all my friends that love this part of the world as much as I do.

Stayed here as a base for a day trip to Beamish. It was ideally located, very clean, warm and comfortable. Good recommendations for food and information about shops nearby. Melanie was a really attentive host, very reassuring to know she would be available if needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.

Had a great 2 night stay just me and my pooch Beryl, right on the beach, I took my camera and got some great shots on from the attic window, lovely beach walks and great food at granny Annie's where dogs are very welcome, will definitely stay again !!
