We loved staying at Robyn’s place, it was exactly like what was described in the photos. The lake and Four Square is also within walkable distance so location wise it was also very ideal! Would definitely return if possible :)

A magnificent guest house in beautiful surroundings. Spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, it makes you feel right at home. The problem is, you don't want to go out. ;-) Everything you need to cook and relax. Truly one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed at, and we've stayed at many, in numerous countries. We highly recommend you stay at the Black Cottage. You may even get lucky and taste home-made ice cream to die for! Thanks to our lovely hosts.

Richard and Helen’s home is a beautifully restored cottage, gracious and lovely in all details. As hosts they were very welcoming, met us and showed us around the home. Helen’s garden was lovely even in the autumn, enjoyed our breakfast with the birdsong. Perfect base for our trip to Sanctuary Mountain preserve!

The weather may not have been kind, but that had little effect on the stay. Such a beautiful part of the country, a well designed and thoughtfully prepared cabin, it was the perfect relaxing spot after a hectic term. Waking up to sounds of the river with amazing bird song and good coffee was just perfect! Snuggling down on the deck at night, with a blanket and outdoor fire just made the experience so enjoyable. Thank you Gary and Stacey for the cabin, for being there and for making the whole experience so special 😊❤️🌟

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit auf dem Land in dem Haus. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zu Hause. Es ist alles bis ins Detail durchdacht und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Zutaten für das Frühstück waren hervorragend und mehr als ausreichend. Man kann da einfach nur 5 Sterne vergeben!

Tolles kleines Airbnb, nah am örtlichen See, in einer ruhigen Gegend gelegen und eine tolle “Mitte” für Ausflüge nach Waitomo & Taupo. Perfekt für kleine Gruppen, die Terrasse ist neu und super um einen Abend ausklingen zu lassen, der Jacuzzi rundet das ganze sehr ab. Die Fisch dekoration im inneren muss einem gefallen, gibt dem ganzen aber auch einen gewissen flair, den man an einem See auch mal erwartet, haben alles gefunden was wir fürs Wochenende gebraucht haben und die Informationen (zB. dem Club in der nähe — zum Abendessen, sind wir gefolgt und das Essen war auch gut.) Amber hat steht’s schnell geantwortet und das ganze hat einfach gut funktioniert, waren zu Viert und sehr froh über dieses Airbnb! 🙌

Very tidy house with everything you would need. Within walking distance to everywhere you would want to go in Mangakino.

Cath was lovely and super helpful. Thanks for the recommendations and for the treats you left for us. The house is huge with a great view! We recommend buying stuff to cook if you don't want to drive somewhere else because there is no delivery to the house. Nice hot tub with a good view, very relaxing.
