i wish i booked this place for longer, this is such a unique experience!! the earth home keeps you nice and cool in the hot sun, and at night time you can enjoy your own fireplace. sheryn is very approachable and friendly, she taught me how to start the fire :)

Wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Garten. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl in dieser Unterkunft. So liebevoll eingerichtet, man spürt dass Helen und Richard hier selber wohnen. Besser geht nicht, ich würde sehr gerne wieder hier übernachten.

I really enjoyed my stay at Peter's, great location to visit Hobbiton or the Maungatautari Sanctuary, but à bit far from the nearest shops and restaurants (you need to go in Cambridge, about 25 min drive). Otherwise the surroundings are incredible, with a really great view above those typical hills of The Shire ; )

This place is beautiful. The location and views are spectacular. Louise was so kind. My wife and I arrived earlier than planned and I feel like she went out of her way to accomadate us. There is a beautiful cat that introduced itself to us and loved our affection. Great place to stay for a stopover to go to Hobbiton.

My group and I had a great time at this house. it was easily able to accommodate 10+ adults and had space for all of us to relax and make the most of our time there. Barry was a great host, very responsive to messaging and flexible with our groups requests. We would happily come back.

We had a lovely stay at Bill’s place. He was a thoughtful and proactive host, checking in with helpful messages and even stocking a few food staples that came in handy—especially since the house is in a more rural spot, where shops and restaurants aren’t just around the corner. We made a great dinner in the well-equipped kitchen and ate out on the beautiful deck, watching the sun set over the river with grapevines fruiting all around us. It was peaceful and stunning. The beds were very comfortable, and the space was perfect for our family to spread out and relax. Highly recommend!

This stay is beyond incredible. The location alone, not to mention the amenities and thoughtful personal touches provided, are just beyond words. Just a few minutes from the city, and pretty much any adventure you could wish for… yet completely tucked away in your own little hideaway. 10/10 would recommend.

A magical hideaway that I definitely recommend, and will probably re-book at some point. It’s got everything you need while still being off grid - it was peaceful, quaint, private, and very romantic for my partner and I. Thank you Kathy for the amazing stay

Easily one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in highlights the best of the Waikato, super private & perfect getaway if you want to spend a few days in what feels off grid! Beautiful surroundings can't recommend enough.
