Craig and Jen are the most friendly and thoughtful hosts. Love their little paradise. Great breakkie selection, friendly horses, and super energetic doggos. 🥰 always quick to respond to any questions you might have or if you need anything. Definitely will come back for another getaway! 🙌

We had an absolutely amazing stay! ‘The Shed’ exceeded all expectations! The home was spotless and incredibly cozy, with every detail thoughtfully considered! The location was perfect, calm and peaceful in the countryside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Rachael was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had! We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would love to come back again!

Our stay was great, Lesley, was a really welcoming and friendly host. With great recommendations for the local area. The location was perfect us and gave us a great base for a couple of days. 😊

Amazing location with natural surroundings and great views in a gated community. House is spacious and well equipped. Host is quite proactive and communication was great. We were a group of six looking for quiet and serene base for three nights to explore Rotorua and Lake Taupo area (both about 45-50 mins drive away) and will recommend the place. While restaurants and shopping are a bit of drive away, the views and clam around the place makes a great choice for a relaxing retreat.

The “modular” setup with a master on one side and a 2 bedroom on the other worked really well for us as 2 couples traveling together. Would also work well for a multi-generational family, or even parents with school age kids. Center kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean, and beds were comfortable.

Derek was responsive and proactive with his communication. The accommodation is fairly new and generally above adequate. The main thing we struggled with was getting the key out of the lockbox (We arrived after dark which didn't help), but it opened up eventually. Also washing dishes in the small ensuite basin was a little awkward, but these were minor issues for an otherwise comfortable stay. Thanks Derek!

The cottage was perfect and everything we were looking for our stay in the Matamata area- a beautiful and quiet location, immaculate kitchen and bathrooms, cozy linens and personal touches.

The property is gorgeous & very well located for a trip to hobbiton! Mary and her family are the best! I would highly recommend opting for the home cooked meal for a wonderful meal made with fresh ingredients from the farm! We look forward to coming back!
