Lovely stay in Abergavenny right in the heart of the town and a cosy cottage

Absolutely stunning place a lovely place to get away from the stresses of life for a few days

Gorgeous house and lovely location. Drive is tight but we have a big car and managed it absolutely fine. We had a lovely relaxing weekend there, we did some walks directly from the house and relaxed in front of the fire, which was exactly what we went to do! House was exactly as described and felt huge! The living room was very cosy, and it was great having the two log burners, and all bedrooms were very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay and felt very at home. There were lots of homely touches. The beds were very comfortable, with quality bedding. Ideal cottage for a 2 night break.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was well kept and a nice space to be in. Il will happily book again next year.

An absolute gem - peaceful remote location on a farm. Really homely with everything you could need - well equipped kitchen, lots of books, games, puzzles etc - super warm and cosy too. There is a lovely balcony where we were lucky enough to have perfect conditions for star gazing in the evening, whilst listening to owls hooting around us. Antonia and her mum & dad were really friendly, sharing local knowledge and best places to go. Check in / check out was easy and relaxed with great instructions provided. Plenty of parking close by. Approximately 20 mins from Brecon where there are supermarkets and takeaways/ restaurants. Approx 40 mins to start Penny-Fann horseshoe walk. Thankyou Antonia for making us feel so welcome 😊

Outstanding stay at a spotless retreat! Everything you could possibly need is thought of, truly a home from home! Extremely accommodating hosts with great communication! We loved feeding the alpacas! No expense has been spared on this amazing place!

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage with our two dogs. The cottage is easy to find with Google Maps and the instructions are clear. We thought the cottage looked even better than the photos in person! It is so quaint and cosy. We had both rain, wind and eventually sunshine during our stay and enjoyed the cottage in all weathers. There are beautiful towns nearby! One of our dogs can’t walk very far so we didn’t get to enjoy the walks from the cottage but we could drive everywhere very easily. We really loved the village New Quay about 15 mins away. Edmund was super responsive and helpful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you!

Just had another great stay with Alison. The apartment was spotless as always. It is well equipped and Alison is such a great host. She is friendly and helpful. What more could you ask.

We’re a couple with a young baby - and we had a great one night stay! Sue and Martin’s place was exactly as described. It was warm, cosy and very clean. The bathroom was particularly spacious. They provided a high chair for our baby and even let us park our rather large van on their driveway. If the weather is dry, definitely walk up to the garden and summerhouse - it has an amazing view towards the sea! Would highly recommend.

Stayed for a local wedding but would return for a peaceful retreat in the Welsh countryside.

Cheryl and Charly were lovely hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and also very accommodating about us having a 4 month old with us, which we feel you could never get with a hotel stay! We would definitely return!

This is a lovely place to stay with beautiful views from the outside terrace. This accommodation had everything we needed and was very convenient for visiting local attractions such as Wells and Cheddar Gorge. Carol was excellent at communicating and very helpful when we needed to change our booking due to personal circumstances. Thank you for a great stay Carol and the delicious complimentary cream tea you left for us. We would definitely come back here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Everything was perfect! Richard is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend staying here. The decor is wonderful, the kitchen was well equipped with herbs and spices, hot tub was amazing, comfy beds, couldn’t say a single bad thing! I had a wonderful time at the Love Shack. A lovely hand built cabin with loads of character and a luxurious outside hot bath. Dog friendly, even with my mischievous and energetic lab. I wouldn't hesitate to book again, and the information on places to visit was spot on.

We booked a two night stay during the Easter holidays and had the most relaxing time. Even though the weather wasn’t great, it didn’t stop us enjoying some downtime, going for walks and spending time in the hot tub. We were met by Sharon upon arrival, who went though everything with us. The accommodation was spotless. Thank you for a lovely stay. We can’t wait to return.

We had a gorgeous stay at Clive and Debra's Airbnb. They were so helpful as hosts and made us feel completely at home. Morning visits from Maddy definitely made our trip. Worth noting that the drive uphill to the Airbnb was steep with tight corners but was worth the view at the top! We will certainly be coming back:)

Really enjoy our stay here. lots of walking around the beautiful scenery. David was really kind to us throughout. I'd really recommend this, it was a lovely break from the city.

We had an amazing stay with Victoria, the cabin had everything you could need and all the logs to keep the hot tub going all weekend. The pizza oven was a lovely addition and the pellets needed were all supplied. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer! This is a really lovely place to stay - very comfortable, warm, and cosy. View and balcony makes it extra special. Loved that it’s a short walk through woodland to the coast. We had everything we needed and would highly recommend. We’d love to return.

We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay in April and couldnt have asked for more - the cabin was easy to find and absolutely stunning. Such peaceful, beautiful surroundings and extremely thoughtful design and amenities, from a lovely welcome basket to everything you could need and more in a compact but beautiful cabin. We really appreciated Katie's help beforehand in making a local pub booking for us at the Boat Inn, and highly recommend a take away from the Pig & Apple, which we enjoyed sitting outside the cabin in the sunshine. Tip - bookings open a month ahead and fill up fast! The hot tub was wonderful, easy and clear instructions for use and stayed hot once we got it to temperature. Very welcome to ease sore muscles after a day of mountain biking at tye Forest of Dean! We will definitely be back, thank you so much for a relaxing break surrounded by nature.
