South-Western FInland : locations de vacances avec petit déjeuner

Thanks to Leena we had a wonderful stay in Finland. She was extremely kind and helpful. Despite an unexpected delay of our flight, she picked us up at the railway station in the middle of the night. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh, local ingredients, allowing as to try some Finnish tastes. The house is beautiful, arranged with great taste, mixing traditional and modern Finnish design. The surroundings are very nice, quite and calm. The closest town, Degerby has an interesting museum, the remains of a soviet bunker and a little shop. There is also a big nature reserve Kopparnäs, which you can reach on foot or by car, but all the suroundings are great for trekking. There is also a supermarket in 6km distance. It's a perfect place to relax amongst nature and we strongly recommend it!

Ninan kanssa viestittely majoittumiseen liittyen oli sujuvaa ja huomaavaista. Meille tuli fiilis, että viihtyvyydestämme välitetään. Yläkerran huoneemme oli siisti ja tilava. Saunasta iso plussa!

Viivyimme Tiinan luona Teijossa kaksi yötä syksyisellä pyöräretkellämme Hkistä Turkuun. Aivan ihana, kodikas paikka ja ihana Tiina, joka piti meistä hyvää huolta. Hintaan kuului runsas ja maukas aamupala tuoreine sämpylöineen ja mahdollisuus puusaunaan, joka tuli todella tarpeeseen usean päivän pyöräilyn jälkeen. Saimme Tiinalta hyvän perehdytyksen paikalliseen luontoon ja Teijon kansallispuiston retkeilyreitteihin, jotka lähtivät aivan talon vierestä. Vahva suositus! ❤️

The accommodation was exactly as described with a great sauna for extra fee (worth it!). Everything was tidy and the beds were good. Gun-Maj was an extremely helpful and proactive host, who was able to communicate in multiple languages, and helped us find places to eat - even offering to drive us there. Highly recommended!

It was very convenient, close to the station and bus stop. The room was clean and comfortable. I would like to stay again! Kiitos!!

Very nice place in the middle of the city, quiet and peaceful. Host was nice and helpful, everything went smoothly.

A beautiful place, with a cow and chickens. The room and bathroom was very clean, comfortable, and overall felt very good! Hosts were very nice, with interesting discussions and local history.

Great location in the center of town. Don't be tempted to dine elsewhere, as the menu, service, preparation, and local ingredients are top tier right at Eva's place. She's a wonderful host, too.

Aivan ihana paikka ja ihanat pitäjät! Lämmin vastaanotto! Kaikki oli valmiina, paljua myöden kun saavuimme paikalle! Lisäksi vielä maittava aamiainen!

Autenttinen paikka, ihana pihapiiri ja viljelykset! Sauna oli todella upea hyvine löylyineen. Täällä olisi viihtynyt paljon pidempäänkin!

We had such a lovely stay with Sage and Jannika at Hotel Svala. We stayed in the suite which was a really beautiful space and so was the entire hotel, Sage is a professional set designer which you can really tell. All rooms were meticulously designed, both regarding coloring that matched the surrounding Åland landscape and with a distinct retro feel to everything from furniture to the smallest utensils in the dining room. It kind of felt like you were in a Wes Andersson movie set in the Finnish archipelago. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was also really nice. If you like the look of the website you will love the hotel. The service and food were also amazing, all done by Jannika and Sage – we stayed a full week and were treated to delicious meals both breakfast, lunch and dinner. They take care to pick out the best produce from local farmers and really made a feast of all meals. The hotel is small and dinner was always served in communal style with all guests around a shared table which was really fun as you got to talk to lots of different people passing through. Kumlinge is a lovely little island and neighboring Seglinge which is a 7 min (free) boat ride away is also really beautiful and has a really nice hiking trail that lets you take in both cliffs, the ocean and birch forest. We mostly took it easy during our stay, read books, went for walks, had a swim and enjoyed the quiet and calm. We even saw a moose swimming over to a neighboring island (!). Sage and Jannika shared a lot about the background to how they started the hotel and you felt immediately like you had been welcomed in to the family. In all, a perfect stay, both for a short stay if you’re travelling through the archipelago or for a longer period if you really want to relax and wind down for a couple of days.
