We had a great stay! There was an issue with the plumbing and the hosts were very responsive and had it fixed the same afternoon. There was also a lot of snow during our stay and the hosts were kind enough to be flexible with our check-out time. The house was very cosy (including a Christmas tree for the duration of our stay!) and the hosts were very responsive and friendly, would certainly stay here again!

Everything was as expected, everything a guest needed was anticipated

Beautiful and peaceful retreat. The hot tub and decking were clean and the views were amazing. Beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Highly recommend and would go back.

We had a lovely stay at Greg’s place for a family celebration. The location was perfect and the scenery lovely! The house was clean and tidy with plenty of space and everything we could need. Would definitely recommend a stay here, thank you Greg!

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

I spent a great four nights at the cottage. In fact, I spent more time in the cottage than expected as I picked up a cold just before arriving and was fully house-bound for two of the full three days I had in Holmfirth. The cottage was both very cozy but also quite spacious - when on the mend those couple of days I really appreciated having that ample room to keep away the cabin fever. And I really appreciated the Netflix! lol The property is wonderfully located in a very quiet and pleasant area yet only a kilometer or so walk into town. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom had ample hot water and water pressure and the bedroom as quiet with great blackout curtains and a very comfy bed. The cottage was just the right temperature for me, clean, decorated with personal touches and cheerfully bright. Sarah provided very helpful information and was quick to respond to any questions I had and to proactively provide other helpful information, too. I hope I can stay here again soon.

Colin's place was lovely, we felt right at home! Loved all the quirky collections around the house. Everything in the house was clearly thought out especially the binder! It had everything from house manuals to places to eat and explore around Thurlstone/Penistone. The location was an ideal base for nature walks/hikes as it's only a few steps from trans-penine trail. It was lovely to meet Colin on our way out too!

I can't describe what an idyllic setting The Gathering is situated in. Absolutely perfect for hiking and running from the doorstep, and a stone's throw from the village. Also very private and peaceful with no through traffic, motorised or pedestrian. The underfloor heating was a total treat returning home after a big day in the hills, as were the super comfy beds and hot showers and bath. It's always a privilege waking up in Edale but this place just made it extra special. Can't wait to return!

The cottage was lovely with everything we needed as a base and to chill. Easy access to the beautiful surroundings and the laminated walks provided are really helpful. Would recommend this Airbnb and the area. Many thanks Andre.

Lovely spacious apartment in the perfect location for exploring Castleton. Jon & Emma were great hosts and their information book has lots helpful tips. Loads of places to eat in the village and amazing walks! Highly recommend Jon & Emma's place.

On our way north to the Highlands but caught out by circumstances, we found ourselves in the Retford very late afternoon. This Shepherds hut was only another 1/2 hr drive away and could accommodate our dogs,,, What a find!! Lovely hut in a beautiful setting. Andrew was ever so helpful. Perfect

Sharon accommodated us very last minute & made us feel very welcome throughout our 5 day stay. The accommodation is quite small, but the location is really lovely, on the edge of the Peak District. Lots of walks and lovely pubs nearby.

Simon is a great host. Usually responds within 5-10 minutes with messaging. He is very knowledgeable and Friendly. The surrounding areas are farmland and hills with sheep, horses, and cattle. It is all very beautiful, including a very close-by footpath that overlooks a good bit of it. The area is very quiet also. Walking into town has some really nice views along the way and is approximately 20 minutes. The nearby town is holmfirth which has cafes all over, restaurants, bakeries, and large and small food shops. The drive in is very short and finding parking is only a challenge at busier times of day. Loved it. The flat has everything you’d need in it. It has a big comfortable bed. The views from the flat are exceptional and it is so restfully quiet inside. There was rarely much noise at all from outside unless a bird was perched really close by. There is no microwave in the kitchen but Simon let me borrow his because as i need one to live. Highly recommend.

A really ideal place to stay with simple but great facilities and careful thoughts to the details. Check in was easy and there is plenty of on street parking. The place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Lovely location, and great amenities / facilities. Lovely outside space with great views at the front and nice peaceful garden / patio at the back. Great communal space and lovely bedrooms. Sue's instructions on getting there very useful as Holmfirth very hilly and her guidance on roads and parking great!! Overall would highly recommend Sues place to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We had a great stay at Rosie's apartment. It was homely and welcoming. We loved having use of the garden and also we slept so well in the very comfy futon bed. Rosie was great at keeping in touch. Highly recommended. 😊

Great property and owners. We stayed as 4 couples and 2 children and the house was plenty big enough with excellent facilities. The hosts were great , helpful and informative and we ate where they recommended - the Wortley arms - and it was great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house and we will hopefully be back soon.
