This cottage is the perfect place to stay whilst exploring the peaks. You’re a 5 minute walk from pubs which serve great food, and a short drive away from some of the best sights in the peaks. The hot tub is a nice addition, and the house is immaculate. Thanks. Will definitely be staying again

Our second stay at Gemma's place was just as good as the first. Three years later, the place has clearly been well maintained. The cleaning company are excellent; everything was spotless and perfectly presented when we entered. Towels, bedding and complementary provisions were just right. We found it easy parking outside the property (2 cars no problem). A small problem with the keys (one broke!) was solved by Glen straight away after a quick phone call. We look forward to our third visit to the cottage.

As soon as we walked into the cottage we felt right at home. Lovely to meet and chat to John's dad as he lit the fires in the kitchen and living room for us which made it very cosy in the evenings. We had fish and chips at the New Inn, Penistone on our first evening which were delicious (The Rose and Crown nearby is open for drinks but not food on a Monday). It's so quiet and peaceful staying at the cottage which is immaculate with lots of character, everything you need in the kitchen and very comfy beds. We were only there for two nights and didn't want to leave! Highly recommended and we hope to return one day.

This is a very comfortable, cosy cottage with the most amazing views. It is in a quiet and rural setting with footpaths right from the door up onto the moors or to the reservoirs. A short drive and you can access many more walks. The cottage is spacious and well furnished.

Where do I start with such a magical place? I have been following the sanctuary’s journey for a while and have previously been on one of their guided tours which I loved so I was delighted to learn about the new Air BnB. The accommodation is stunning, so cosy and relaxing! We loved the hot tub and even the cows came to say hello. We had a private tour with Vanda who was amazing and really took her time to tell us about all the animals and their personalities. Deborah was great and even helped us with parking due to road closures. Everyone is so helpful and you can tell the animals are their top priority. If you are after a peaceful little get away surrounded by beautiful countryside then this is the place for you. Thanks Jake and Rosie for the stay we are already planning our next trip to Millington’s magical barn. You guys are amazing keep doing what you are doing!

A gorgeous stay! Exceeded our expectations. All the nice little touches, like the freshly baked goodies, ample teas, coffees, hot chocolates and marshmallows, really added to the experience. The property is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is really peaceful and not far to walk in to Holmfirth centre. We would definitely visit here again!

Great place to stay for visits to the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield and to Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Angela’s place is cosy with a comfortable bed and a good shower. I would recommend it.

Loved our stay here! Properly cosy and charming and above all, great location for walks, pubs and restaurants. Centre of town and the new Hepworth Gallery just a short drive away; YSP just a short drive the other way – great attractions! And a pleasure to come back here after a day out. Would certainly book again.
