Lovely house in great location. Beds quite small though and not very comfortable.

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Would absolutely recommend 10/10! The hot tub was lovely and private, couldn’t fault anything over the two night stay. If you’re staying here definitely take a visit to Castellum Pizzaria in Whitstable; best pizza ever!

We recently enjoyed an unforgettable four-night stay at Elmtree Cottage, and it was nothing short of perfect. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views that greeted us - seemed straight out of a postcard! The cottage itself is a charming blend of rustic character and modern comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub, which offered the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Soaking in the warm water while taking in the panoramic views was pure bliss. The area is also a haven for seafood lovers. We indulged in the freshest seafood, with local catches prepared to perfection, whether we dined out or cooked up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen. Elmtree Cottage is the ideal getaway for anyone looking to relax, explore, and savor the best of what this beautiful region has to offer. We can't wait to return!

Forest Cottage was an amazing place to stay! I was visiting family and this was a great place to relax and have our own space for the vacation . Great rural location , yet close enough to amenities etc . We had an issue with the toilet and Jason promptly had a plumber out to fix it. Quiet and charming place. Jason was very responsive and easy to reach out to if we had any issues . My only suggestion would be to have a binder or booklet with more detailed instructions on the cottage rather than hand written notes ( ex. How to use the stovetop, where the outside lights are located etc). Beautiful country views with access to Hatfield Forest on our doorstep. The hot tub was an added bonus. Will definitely look to visit again sometime soon . Thanks Jason !

I spent my 30th birthday celebrating with three close friends at this lovely, spacious cottage, and it was the ideal place to relax for the weekend. The cottage was well-equipped with great utilities, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for us to unwind. The hot tub was perfect for evening relaxation. The surrounding area was beautiful, with scenic walks right on the doorstep. Our hosts were incredibly attentive, quick to respond, and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. A wonderful place to celebrate and recharge!

We had a lovely weekend away. So close to London but it felt like being in the middle of nowhere. We had some lovely walks through the surrounding valleys and villages with our dog who loved his first time getting out into the countryside. The church and setting were really beautiful and the cabin was cosy and cute. All in all a great trip

This was first time staying at the ST ANOREMS LAKES ,we just stay for 4night and it was per-fect. The room was comfy and clean. The bed and amenities were amazing.The check in and checkout was best. So profesional, staff was Friendly and lovely we come back again👍👍👍🙏

Perfect place for a perfect few days with my family to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Given the time of year it was a bit chilly; once the heating went off, the temperature dropped within the cottage. This was rectified straight away by a quick message to Kate who was straight on it & it was soon toasty again. I’ve stayed in a few Airbnb’s since May 2024 - Kate is by the far the quickest to respond no matter what time of day. Outdoor space great for our dog too. Kids super impressed with the shop right next door & the pubs within walking distance. This is a lovely little find; quite rightly it’s very popular. I’m already working around the available dates for my next visit. Thank you Kate!

My wife, daughter and I had a great time at the cottage. It was exactly what we were after. We could walk into the town and harbour area, find places to eat and have coffee. It was also a lovely little space for us to relax. We also took our little dog who was happy in the cottage and garden. The listing is absolutely spot on and the cottage is well equipped. We didn't want for anything. It was a home from home really.

Quiet, peaceful and cosy. Still only a couple of minutes drive from the village or short walk. Would love to stay again!!

Nice little house. Pleasant decor. Excellent modern kitchen. 4 minutes walk to Whitstable high street and the seafront, with lots of Cafes, Bars and restaurants. It is probably more suited to adults than kids.

Janet’s place was lovely for a group of four of us - my wife and I and my parents. It is really well located along whitstable and my wife can’t speak highly enough about the number of really nice independent shops. I can’t speak highly enough of the food on the high street which was delicious! A really nice place with big beds and a cosy downstairs.m which is quiet despite being near the high street (1 min away max). There are some steep stairs and a bathroom at the back of the house for those unaware but this is typical for a Victorian cottage of the era. Thanks again Janet and we hope to return in future!

Everything was great and as described with a perfect location close to the sea front. Stephen was friendly and made us feel welcome upon arrival so it was easy to settle in and relax. A well deserved five stars!

We had a wonderful stay at Dough Cottage! The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the charming high street. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our family of three and our two dogs. The fully enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs, and they loved having their own space to run around. Check-in was a breeze, and Alison and Mark were incredibly flexible with our arrival times, making the whole experience stress-free. We highly recommend Dough Cottage and can't wait to return!

Absolutely deserves the description of 5*. Beautifully appointed and very well equipped with thoughtful extras. Very comfortable bed and high end appliances. Exceeded our hopes and we’d love to return some time.

Great location, lovely characterful, relaxing and spacious house with incredible sea views AND parking. It was just what we were looking for. Comfortable bed, the house was very clean throughout. The host was very helpful amd friendly, and communications were great.

As a family of 3, we spent a lovely 3 night stay over February half term. Joe and Tamsyn responded very promptly on booking and throughout our stay and gave clear instructions to the property. Check in was straightforward. The house itself is charming; attractively decorated, warm and clean. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of fridge space and dishwasher. Bedrooms and bathrooms as per the pictures and comfortable. A short walk to the beach and the Main Street of restaurants and pubs. Joe and Tamsyn have a folder of helpful information with recommendations. We’d recommend a stay here - a pretty cottage in pretty Whitstable.

Beautiful and cosy place to stay. Quality furniture and fittings in the house. We’ve stayed before and have come back because we liked it so much. Duncan keeps you well informed and is there if you need him.

Great cottage in a beautiful location. Garden, and the snowdrops were stunning. The only downside was the very low ceilings. Anyone of average height is likely to hit their head on the beam in the kitchen. This was mentioned in other reviews, and expected in an old cottage, but was not mentioned in the description.

Beautiful old cottage nestled in the deep countryside but not too far for amenities! Great for being close to London but still feeling like you’re in the countryside. Private cottage away from the main house with beautiful views. The cottage itself is lovely, with modern facilities and very low beams to watch your head on lol a lovely stay for my family :)

Perfect property for our short stay on Mersea. Woodbine Cottage was cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The beds were comfy and the location was great. Helen was super responsive when messaging. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A gem of a place. Just as described. Only negatives for us, no toilet on ground floor, living room a bit small for 5 adults and one child, perfect if you have less adults,. Bedrooms good sizes for all three. Kitchen extremely well equipped, even for cooking. Christmas dinner. Very good location for seafront, shops, and very easy to find. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
