Darsen is indeed an incredibile host and his family is beautiful! Darsen is super kind and always ready to help you in anything you might need. He took us to Ella, and in the way he made the most so we could see elephants (we are still very grateful). The beautiful houses are very spacious and clean, they are also very private , the garden is full of interesting flowers and trees and you can find lots of beautiful squirrels and peacocks. Above all the qualities he has one that surely shines and is honesty!!! Don’t miss out in incredibly large and yummy breakfast. Thank you again

Wow what a great place galawatta was, we stayed in one of the beach cabanas, they were exactly as described “fantastic” and yes we did snorkel with turtles and fish everyday. The food at the restaurant was excellent from the breakfast on your veranda with your own toaster, to lunch and the great curries for dinner. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful, staying here was definitely one of our Sri Lankan high lights.

Beautiful cabana, away from from the business of Ahangama but still close enough to walk to the beach or town. Lots of local restaurants nearby. The garden is peaceful and it’s a great place to unwind. You can keep your things in the fridge and cook whenever you need. The main house isn’t lived in by a family, so just shared between the guests staying. Tilak, the house manager is incredibly friendly and helpful. My partner and I stayed here for 10 days and had a wonderful time. Would 100% stay again. 🙏🏼

Die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr schön groß mit einer schönen Terrasse von der aus man in den Garten und aufs Wasser schauen kann. Vielen Dank für die freundliche Unterkunft.

J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour chez Sanjaya et sa famille, tout le monde était très sympathique et le lieu magnifique ! Il suffit d’ouvrir la porte pour être au bord du lac, j’ai été sous le charme. Je me suis retrouvée piégée par un gros orage qui ne passait pas, aucun tuk tuk n’était disponible, merci encore à Sanjaya pour être venu me chercher 🙏🏼🙏🏼

This place is a true hidden Gem for nature lovers, lively sorrounding with jungle like plants and animals while maintaining good privacy. They also offer rides to the airport and attractions on the island. would definitely like to visit again.

I don’t think it has ever happened to me that I would leave an accommodation in tears. But that’s exactly what happened at Red Hill Yala. The care we received here was unlike anywhere else. The food was simply phenomenal. In fact, one meal a day might have been enough because there was so much of it! The accommodation itself is simple, clean, and deeply connected with nature. About a ten-minute walk from the cottage, there is a beach lined with palm trees, offering perfect shade from the sun. During our six days at Red Hill Yala, we didn’t see a single person there. Incredible. Be prepared for big waves. If you’re traveling with small children, like we were, consider bringing inflatable vests and be aware that you’ll need to keep a close eye on them. The host was always in touch, gave us great local tips for trips, arranged our airport transfer, and helped us with everything we needed. It is a magical place. Thank you! ✨

Es ist schwierig für so einen Ort Worte zu finden, denn mit dem betreten des Eingangtors hat man bereits das Gefühl in einer eigenen Welt, voller Leichtigkeit, Fantasie und Ruhe anzukommen. Über meinen Aufenthalt von 3 Wochen wurde dieser Platz mein Zuhause und eines der größten Geschenke auf meiner 5 monatigen Reise. Einen Rückzugsort zu haben indem man mit Leichtigkeit seine Mahlzeiten selbst zubereiten kann - denn die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet - man sich kreativ ausleben kann, jeden Tag ein neues Tierwesen entdeckt und sich vor allem aber stets von der großzügigen, herzerwärmenden und bemühten Familie von Naveen und durch Naveen selbst unterstützt und beschützt fühlt! Mein Herz hat sich hier geöffnet und ich hoffe so sehr, dass nur gute Menschen auf diesen Ort und diese Menschen treffen, die dieses kleine Paradies zu wertschätzen wissen und sich ebenso verzaubern lassen können, wie ich es tat! (Sie Distanz zur Stadt hat für mich mit dem Scooter keine Probleme bereitet!)

Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt in dem Häuschen. Sehr süß. Der Strand ist zwischen 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Ehefrau von Suresh war sehr freundlich und bemüht!!! Vielen Dank

Das Häuschen liegt in einer wunderschönen Umgebung, perfekt, um die Natur zu genießen und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Überall hört man Vögel zwitschern, und ich habe sogar ein paar Affen in den Bäumen gesehen. Die Tierwelt hier ist wirklich beeindruckend! Das Haus selbst ist klein, aber gemütlich und hat alles, was man für eine entspannte Auszeit braucht. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kann es nur empfehlen.

Amazing hospitality and room, very clean and well thought out. The bathroom is small but enough. The kitchen space provided is very useful and there is enough storage in the room for all types of belongings. There are very many mosquitoes outside, but not a single mosquito inside the room. They had even kept mosquito repellent spray in the room. The breakfast at the patio was a beautiful experience. The two friendly dogs at the property are a great bonus.

I was so happy with the time I spent here and was considering extending it for a few extra days. The hosts who look after you seem to be perfectionists and are extremely good at what they do. Polite and kind and always served a hearty, delicioius breakfast which I looked forward to every morning.

Wir waren für eine Nacht dort, um am nächsten Tag eine Safari zu machen. Diese wurde von den Gastgebern für uns organisiert und hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Sanduns Frau war sehr freundlich, hat uns ein bisschen die Umgebung gezeigt und spricht gutes Englisch. Am Abend hat sie uns ein super leckeres Curry gekocht. Das Zimmer ist auch sehr schön und man hat ein bequemes Bett zum schlafen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

We hebben een fijne tijd gehad bij Sandaru. Midden in het regenwoud omgeven door de geluiden uit de natuur. Sandaru en alle medewerkers zijn ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en respectvol. We voelde ons erg welkom. Het zwembad zorgt voor een heerlijke verkoeling na een wandeltocht door het regenwoud. Verwacht geen luxe in het regenwoud. Het is een pure beleving met alle basis behoeften. Er is een bed met klamboe, douche (lauw water), toilet, kastje en een stopcontact. In de avond zit je gezellig in het restaurant gedeelte. Vanuit hier spot je apen, grote eekhoorns en verschillende prachtige vogels. Het eten is het beste wat we tot nu toe hebben gehad in Sri Lanka, hele grote porties en ontzettend betaalbaar. Houdt er rekening mee dat er bloedzuigers, spinnen en kakkerlakken aanwezig kunnen zijn in/rondom het huisje.

L'établissement "Natural Cabana" porte bien son nom. Les logements sont blottis dans un jardin verdoyant où les oiseaux chantent joyeusement. S'endormir au son des vagues est très grisant. Les "cabanes" sont rustiques. Il peu y avoir des insectes et des moustiques à l'intérieur mais rien d'extrême et pas dans votre lit qui est confortable. Le ventilateur au plafond est efficace. Le WIFI est assez bon. La salle de bain est petite mais livre la marchandise. La douche a une bonne pression. Il y a un restaurant sur place. On peut également louer des kayaks sur place pour se promener dans les lagunes. La mer est à deux minutes du site. Des chaises longues dont certaines à l'ombre permettent de passer la journée sur la plage sans brûler. Il y a d'autres restaurants sur la petite route qui longe la mer et des boutiques. Tangalle est moins infesté de touristes. L'endroit est calme avec une plage qui est longue et large avec un beau sable. C'est mon deuxième séjour à cet endroit.

We stayed at for a week and came to appreciate the serenity after the hustle of Galle. The home cooked food was amazing. The best we ate in Sri Lanka. The monkeys and birds kept us entertained. So did the mosquitoes - be warned. We loved the pool, and Praneeth brought us beers and pool towels - you have to ask but they are very obliging. The site is far steeper than we imagined. It is a hybrid homestay hotel. No kitchen or longer stay facilities, but they will provide food and what you need if you ask. Bring an extra pillow and eye mask if you want to be comfy - and a blanket, but it is clean and pretty. I was a bit shocked at the shower/bath - more a trough and I was scared to climb in. But I got the hang of it and enjoyed the ritual. I would not recommend for people with mobility issues. We hired a driver. Essential. He cursed the road though... it was rough on his car. In all, a nice hide away for a short break from the hectic pace of Galle, clean, nice hosts and great food.

Kjempehyggelige mennesker, særlig Subash som jeg snakket med flere ganger under oppholdet. Han fikset og hjelp om det var noe som dukket opp, og hjalp også med å ordne transport rundt omkring. Frokosten var kjempegod.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Monika war sehr entspannt. Das Airbnb ist super schön, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und Zimmer und Bad schlicht aber sehr schön eingerichtet. Auf dem Grundstück gibt es ein paar Hunde, die einen an Anfang anbellen, nach einiger Zeit aber regelmäßig für Streicheleinheiten ans Tor kommen. Der Garten ist sehr grün und gut aus der Außenbereichküche zu bewundern.

wir waren 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Der Gastgeber war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist super. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.
