We spent a week at Gaya and Jagath’s lovely property and the standout was the stunning garden which turned out to be a huge banana and coconut plantation. The grounds are immaculately kept by the staff who live on site who are there 24/7 for any requests but they allow you your privacy. Jagath was extremely helpful communicating before we travelled and was on hand for my multiple questions. We stayed in the 2-bed bungalow (there is also a larger villa on the property) but the bungalow easily had the best views of the garden and I thoroughly enjoyed taking my morning coffee onto the verandah to watch the birds & peacocks. The bungalow itself is fairly basic in decor and could possibly benefit from a bit of colour on the inside walls but I understand this is a work in progress. We made good use of the bbq and a special shout-out to Hiran who is the local tuk-tuk driver and took us everywhere. Shanti-Shanti is a must for the location, tiger prawns and rope swing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING

Great property in a private local area but walking distance to restaurants, shops and beaches. We came for surfing and the host and property manager was very helpful and the waves in Ahangama were perfect and consistent every day. We like to cook so the kitchen and amenities were good. The pool was lovely to relax in during the afternoon when the winds were on shore. Security at night was also a bonus. Highly recommend.

We spent three nights in this amazing place. It’s incredibly quiet—you can only hear birds chirping. The pool was the highlight for our kids and one of the best we've experienced. The gardener and chef were very nice. The downstairs rooms were small but lovely, with new AC units, unlike some other places. However, two bathrooms had very old toilets, and the upstairs AC wasn’t powerful enough to cool the room properly. If you go outside, be prepared for mosquitoes—they’re always around, ready to bite, no matter the time of day. Although they mentioned having a free chef, he seemed a bit hesitant to cook three meals a day. Overall, it was a really nice stay!

Such a little paradise. We visited Wild Lotus with my 19-month-old and they treated her like royalty! Staff there are so hard-workng and conscientious. Simply lovely people. We didn't do a safari in the end but so so many animals and birds anyway. Very special location. Couldn't recommend this place enough. A special thank you to Ali and Naali! They looked after us so well!

We loved our stay at JC's villa! The serene location, with monkeys in the distant trees and peacocks roaming the lawn, was complemented by a spacious house, vast grounds, and an enormous swimming pool that both the children and adults thoroughly enjoyed. A big thank you to Bandara and the team for taking such great care of us, and to JC for having us.

We stayed for a week and loved every minute! The location is perfect, peaceful and private but only a short Tuktuk ride from Ahangama town. It’s not traditional self-catering, so no kitchen access but the wonderful staff are on hand to make you whatever you like, no request too much! We had our own private firework display and the team installed full length mirrors for us when we realised there wasn’t one. Honestly the team are lovely, discreet but always there to help. The villa isn’t in the heart of town, but only 5 mins Tuktuk or 30 min walk, which for us on a family holiday was perfect, quiet in the evenings, but so easy to go to the lively bars and restaurants in town. Nous avons passé un séjour chez Priyankara, qui est d’une gentillesse absolue. La maison est splendide, très propre, dans un endroit très paisible. On peut y observer de nombreux animaux. Un gros avantage est la machine à laver. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et servi parfaitement à l’heure. Les tuk tuk viennent facilement vous récupérer via PickMe. J’ai connu durant mon séjour un souci médical et Priyankara s’est occupé de me trouver un rdv, m’a accompagné à l’hôpital dès le matin. C’est vraiment adorable, je ne le remercierai jamais assez pour son aide.

I have stayed in many Airbnbs, and I am very picky when it comes to finding the right place. Honestly, after our stay, I feel a bit sad… because I know it will be impossible to top this experience! We had an absolutely dreamlike stay at this stunning beachfront Airbnb. From the very first moment, we felt like we were staying with friends – Bianca, Dasun and Dinu were incredibly warm, attentive, and took care of everything around the clock. Not only did they drive us around Weligama and Mirissa, but they also shared great local tips and made sure we experienced the real Sri Lanka. Early check-in was no problem at all for them, and throughout our stay, they thought of every little detail. The house itself is perfect – clean, comfortable, and with a breathtaking location right by the ocean. We can only highly recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat! 5 out of 5 stars aren’t enough! Thank you for a heart full of memories and beautiful moments from this unforgettable time

This place is beautiful beyond words. The staff here make it the ultimate holiday experience. The food that comes out of the kitchen is delicious both western and local food. This place is simply hospitality done well. We hope to return ❤️

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

Chris's villa felt like a home from home for our short stay, he and his team at the villa were amazing and so attentive to our party. Roshan is a wonderful chef and our breakfasts were so fresh and delicious. The BBQ that he organised for us next to the beach one evening was unbelievable, especially the whole butter fish and prawns. The villa is ideally situated in Unawatuna but we were also close enough to nip to Weligama on tuk-tuks to try surfing, and up to Galle for shopping and dining. Chris's team were more than happy to promptly assist with organising tuk tuks and van hire for us whenever we needed them. The pool at the villa was perfect for our kids to splash about in during the afternoons as it was shaded by then. They also loved finding hermit crabs at the beach and spotting chipmunks, geckos and even a monkey on the villa roof one morning. We would thoroughly recommend Chris's villa to anyone wanting a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Sri Lanka. Hope to be back soon!

Ett fantastiskt ställe. Personalstaben var helt otroliga. De ordnade med mat, städning och höll trädgården fin. Vi levde i lyx och blev så bortskämda med all fin service. Påfåglar i trädgården förgyller. Ett väldigt rofyllt och tryggt boende.

We had the best holidays ever spending our time here, the house is amazing, every single detail have been taken care of, beautiful space to create memories. The swimming pool is perfect, the green space is beautiful and is surrounded by the most beautiful greenery. The staff in the house is so kind and helpful, rooms were perfect and the living space is exactly what you need for a family or group of friends. Thank you!

We had an amazing family trip with our young children and parents at this absolutely beautiful location. Everything was just perfect—the property was stunning, direct access to the beach, incredibly clean, and well-maintained. The staff was exceptional, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food was incredible and they were so accommodating for the children who were being picky. We stayed for two nights but truly wish we had booked a longer stay. It was a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely return. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous place. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious and so comfortable. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The location didn't bother us as there are some wonderful family run restaurants close by and it is very residential, but you will need tuk tuks to get into town. The staff were wonderfully attentive, and always around so think of this more as a staffed guest house than a private villa.

We had an amazing stay at TheBlues. Thank-you Janaka for making us feel so welcome and great communication throughout out stay, and to the lovely, friendly housemaids Nishani and Anousha who took care of us and cooked lovely meals whenever we wanted. The house is great, it's like staying in the jungle with monkeys jumping around in the trees whilst we enioyed the large pool. And the beautiful beach with turtles is very close-by, as are shops and cafes. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful property and Janaka as a host.

This is a newly opened hotel and it’s one of the best we’ve stayed in. Room with plunge pool was amazing. Spotlessly clean and ultra modern. Owner was always around property and very amenable. We had to ask for smaller portions at breakfast as we were being served a huge amount. Walk over the river and go across the road and there is a tuk tuk stand that will take you to Mirissa or the surf centre in Weligama for 600 rupees each way. Overall we were sad to be leaving .

Where can I start…. We stayed at this beautiful villa for three nights and by far the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. Villas is very spacious and clean. Alfresco area and the pool is very thoughtfully designed. Well maintained garden with beautiful surroundings. Most of all the hospitality that we received from Ananda, Noni and Nayana’s took it to a next level. We had home cooked Sri Lankan meals all three days and specially the Christmas Day lunch was superb. We made great memories and met awesome people at the coconut grove villa which we will never forget… Also thank you to Roshan ( tuk tuk driver) and Lesley was very responsive all the way!

It was a beautiful property we stayed with kids. We enjoyed the pool and the food. Care taker Isru was very humble. Everything was perfect.

Malaka and his whole family went above and beyond anything a host has to do. We checked in early as our flight was a morning one, we were greeted with fresh juice. They gave us loads of recommendations and Nalaka even took us in his own transport to a safari, which was a 2 hr drive. They drove us round to visit the local temple. The tv had a small problem and straight away it was resolved, to the extent a new tv was needed. They even cooked us a traditional Sri Lankan meal on our last night, and…they even got up at 05:00 to see us off to the airport, which they arranged the transport. It seemed nothing was any trouble for Nalaka and the whole family, we highly recommend coming here. As far as AirB&B goes, these hosts were the best we’ve encountered, and we’ve had a few 😎🙏
