This is the second time that we have stayed with Donnie. The first time was in one of the cabooses. This time we stayed in The Depot. Both of these places were as described and pictured! I had good enough phone service that we did not miss having WiFi and there was cable for television. I had two children with me, an eight year old and a twelve year old, and they were both fine there! And we could look out the front door and see Buffalo Mountain. Because of Hurricane Helene damage, we did not get to go there but it was not for lack of trying! Sunday morning before we left, I got to see a deer in the pasture behind the depot! And some beautiful sunrises!

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Clean! Smelled great too. Geat distance (within 10min) to hiking (Ash Cave) in one direction and then a pizzeria with all kinds of drinks and snacks in the other. On a fairly traveled road in front, but also a great small space to explore right behind and firepit. Well kept! It was great for our young family. Very fun.

Cheryl's place was fantastic! The caboose was so cute and cozy. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. We enjoyed all the animals. The bison feeding was fun to watch, Cheryl's parents provided a lot of interesting facts about the bison. Looking forward to going back and taking the grandkids!

We stayed with our two dogs at Donnie's caboose over Thanksgiving while visiting family in the area. The location was great and super close to our family. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

During sun-soaked evenings, while baby cows nursed, my daughter & I spent hours snuggled on the cozy bunk while I crocheted. Deb, our host, was exceptional. Her hospitality made us feel so at home the entirety of our stay. Her attention to detail is immaculate; Chessie Rails was spotless—something I truly appreciated as a neat freak. There wasn’t a speck of dust in sight, making our trip that much more relaxing. Whether you’re seeking a tranquil retreat or a family-friendly vacation, Chessie Rails is a MUST stay. We loved every moment of our stay & CAN’T WAIT to return!

This was a unique stay in a quiet and peaceful setting. There's plenty to do and see in the outskirts. A great experience!

The train car was wonderful! It was cozy and peaceful. My boys (6, 3, & 18months) enjoyed the sand box, tetherball, & playing with the dogs. There were also games & a puzzle to play with inside. Amy was very responsive & work with us so that we could have an early check in. We had a wonderful stay & I would definitely book again!

My family and I REALLY enjoyed staying in this converted train. My three year old was over the moon about it. I love the gated community vibe that it gives. Not sure if the other trains are available to rent but I can imagine how cool it would be to have a little block party there!! 10/10 would definitely stay here again!! Thank you so much Mykas, for being so accommodating! We really had a wonderful time!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Amy's Train Car Guesthouse. It was very clean, comfortable, and the perfect spot to rest while spending a weekend visiting family in the area. Amy was helpful and responsive and she has created a very comfortable and aesthetically-pleasing interior space. We hope to return!

The owners have taken time to make this a special place. It was perfect for the two of us. Thanks for a great stay!

Alex's place is an absolute gem—I am hesitant to write a review because that will let the word out! In all seriousness, it is even better than it looks in the pictures, and Alex is a fantastic, responsive host. Look no further for the next time you want to get away from (most of) it all in Texas.

Nice little place in the woods. If you like railroad history, this is a neat place to take your family. Had phone service the entire time. The place was easy and relaxing.

AWESOME PLACE TO GO AND TRAVEL TO. the town has lots of sight seeing and stores to go to. the Train was AMAZINGGGG a true dream come true for my childhood bucketlist!!!

The rosy caboose was super cute and surprisingly spacious. We had a lovely relaxing time. It was close enough to Asheville to be convenient and far enough for a view. Unfortunately the fires in North Carolina were close enough to make the yard smokey but the rain cleared most of it out. Hope we can stay there again.

We had a great experience staying in one of Kelly’s River of Love Cabins!! The Caboose was so cozy and compact an had everything we needed, I would most definitely recommend for a couples get away.

My family and I absolutely LOVED our stay here. The train is so cute and homey. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The host went above and beyond all expectations. We would 100% stay again and 100% recommend.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Hosts were quick to respond if there were any issues and gave clear instructions and guidlines to follow. The caboose was an absolutely delightful place to stay and the winery nearby is just as lovely. I definitely recommend checking it out! It was an absolutely beautiful birthday weekend for my train and wine loving boyfriend. We will definitely be coming back!

We loved our stay at the Caboose! We were lucky enough to be in there while it rained and thundered which was just an incredible experience and night. The lighting is excellent and when you walk in there was music softly playing which was the perfect way to kick off our romatic getaway. For the price it was great and we will certainly be back!
