Spinola Bay : locations de vacances dans des maisons de ville

This was a brilliant choice! The house was just as expected, old and characterful, and a bit strange in the layout but it worked for our family. We loved the upstairs veranda, with a mini-kitchen beside it, that would be even more welcome in summer. We were travelling with a three year old, and a baby, so the toys and children's gear were greatly appreciated. The location was perfect - with a bakery on one side (open from 6am and sold milk!) and two cafes on the other, well patronised by locals - we seemed to be the only tourists around in January. We loved the proximity to the Three Cities (and wished we'd worked out earlier that you can walk all along the waterfront to the Birgu water taxis and ferry to Valletta), and to Valletta. Parking was easy near the house, and Wendy was a great communicator and gave excellent suggestions about local restaurants (all of which did take away which was useful for us).

Es war ein traumhaft schöner Aufenthalt im Haus von Jean Paul. Das Haus ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern und man fühlt sich direkt wohl dort. Die Kommunikation mit Jean Paul war super. Er hat schnell geantwortet und war auch bei allen anderen Fragen schnell behilflich. Wir durften sogar später aus checken, weil unser Flug erst am späten Nachmittag startete. Ich kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würde sie jedes mal wieder buchen.

Great Airbnb and host. The house is as described, spacious, comfortable and has everything you need. It was easy to find a parking space nearby and the buses on the main road are very well connected. There are also shops and cafes nearby. Doreen is a great host, easy to communicate with and she was able to give us an early check-in which was great. I'd stay here again.

Es war unsere erste längere Reise nach Malta. Ich liebe dieses Land und besonders Gozo. Wir wohnten wunderbar in der Nähe der Fähre und konnten schnell die Hauptstadt von Malta erreichen. Unsere Ferienwohnung wird von Frank, einen der besten Manager für Ferienwohnungen, vermietet. Er holte uns von der Fähre ab. Er half vorab den Weg bis zur Insel mit den verschiedenen Verkehrsmitteln zu finden. Ich empfehle vorab und vor Ort seine Anweisung (grins) zu befolgen: „1. Wenn Ihr Fragen habt fragt mich. 2. Es gilt 1.“. Frank kochte für uns eine Begrüßungssuppe und Rotwein/ Bier stand bereit. Er zeigt Euch den Ort für Einkäufe und Wege zum Wandern. Er löst Eure Probleme. Schade, dass wir nicht den Karneval erleben konnten. Die Kirchen sind reine Prachtbauten. Wer gerne wandert und viel sehen möchte, dann sind die Monate bis Mai wohl prächtig. Der Januar war es. Wenn Ihr auf Museen, Geschichte und Archäologie steht und 3 Wochen Zeit hat, unbedingt erst die Karte von Heritage Malta kaufen.

Natalija est une hôte très à l'écoute et très disponible. Le logement est facile à trouver, très bien placé pour visiter Malte et très propre. Nous étions 8 et avions largement assez d'espace. Les extérieurs terrasses sont très agréables. Je recommande.

What a find! As soon as we saw the picture we knew this was the place for us and it did not disappoint. Location is perfect, quiet but plenty right on the doorstep. The house has been beautifully restored and has everything you need and more(included plenty of stairs to get your daily steps in). And Joe was the icing on the cake, super helpful, always in contact, great recommendations and flexible too. One of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in and it certainly made the holiday. Would stay again and recommend to others.

La communication avec James a été remarquable. Il a su répondre à nos attentes très rapidement et à été très arrangeant. Son appartement est très sympathique, bien équipé. Il correspond très bien aux photos et au descriptif. De plus, le logement est très bien placé pour visiter et déambuler dans les ruelles de Malte. Pas besoin de véhicule, tout se fait très bien en transports ( bus, bateau) et à pieds. Merci James de nous avoir permis de passer un excellent séjour.

It was a privilege to stay in Roderick's amazing beautifully restored 16th C house. The bathroom and kitchen are furnished to a high modern tasteful standard. The rest of the house is fully of wonderful antiques. It was mid winter when we went, so we didn't use the lovely court yard of roof space but they would be great for most of the year. We were met by Steve and shown around when we arrived. Later on we met Roderick. Both of them were charming hosts. The house is actually better than the photos!

Perfect place to hole up and rest for a week - and see the island and do yoga at the hot studio. Super friendly, bringing me milk for tea etc and ultra clean. It had EVERYTHING in needed to cater for myself if I didn’t fancy eating out. Spotless linen and towels, laundry facilities, hairdryer, microwave, kettle, hot shower. I felt safe as a lone female traveller. They left me alone to chill but I knew they were on hand if I needed anything. Great instructions too on arrival. Thank you Carl & Anna!

L’appartamento di Marc, si trova in zona comoda e tranquilla, la casa è silenziosa, e a piedi si raggiunge facilmente il centro. Si trova anche facilmente parcheggio nelle vicinanza. La casa è bel illuminata e arieggiata, pulita con tutti gli elettrodomestici necessari. Marc è molto disponibile e premuroso, consigliato.

Lucia's apartment is beautiful and located in a lovely part of Malta just on the edge of Valletta. The photos do not do it justice with a huge basement area almost like a separate apartment so perfect for 2 families. There are many nice bars and restaurants on your doorstep in Floriana but also many in Valletta which is a short 5-10 minute walk. The bedrooms are very large and the added advantage of a small courtyard was wonderful. I would highly recommend this apartment for couples or familes and will gladly stay here again.

Joelean is a most kind, smart and caring host. She collected us at the airport and we received valuable information en route. The accommodation is amazing.

Martin’s house is located within Valletta city gate, which means the main attractions are all very close by. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the neighborhood so it is very easy to choose between dining out or cooking yourself. It is a house with full facilities so it feels very welcoming and like home. Martin also replies to our doubts and checked on our check-in process timely. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful flat in a residential area. Really handy for ferries and buses as well as good restaurants and sightseeing. A real contrast to the bustle of Sliema.

Die Unterkunft in Birgu war perfekt für uns. Die Lage so nah am Hafen war sehr schön und da wir uns Motorroller gemietet hatten, konnten wir Malta von der Unterkunft aus gut erkunden. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben und wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet. Das Bett ist super gemütlich. In den kühleren Jahreszeiten muss man sich wohl darauf einstellen, dass es im Haus auch recht kühl ist. Es gibt aber Heizstrahler und die Klimaanlage, mit denen man Abhilfe schaffen kann.

Joseph was a fantastic host. He gave us helpful advice about the area and the best places to visit and eat on our visit to Gozo both before we arrived and during our trip. This meant a lot to us as it was our first trip to Malta. At first we were unsure of the location which backs onto the road into Qata but Joseph’s place is a hidden gem with bags of character. It has been beautifully restored and very well fitted out with every need anticipated, quite an oasis of calm with a pretty open courtyard. Such a shame we had wet weather and couldn’t sit in it, but we were happy inside it is such a nice relaxing place to have a break. Thank you to our hosts for making us so welcome.

Dears, Bernard's place is absolute gem in terms of the facilities. Had everything appliances you need for a short/long term stay. The terrace is a bonus for sure. The place was spotless clean with extra linens as well. A washing machine on the terrace is useful for long term stays. Last but not the least, Bernard is one of those rare hosts to be so kind and helpful. He would do everything he can to ensure a good stay. Indeed a super duper host!!! My best wishes for him.

Ich war mit meiner Frau das erste Mal auf Malta. Die Unterkunft von Derek liegt in einem ruhigen historischen Viertel mit Blick auf einige wunderschöne Kirchen. Es war fantastisch! Wir haben jede Minute auf der geschützten Sonnenterasse verbracht und die Sonne und den Mond genossen. Die Wohnung war sehr, sehr sauber! Geschäfte für den kleinen Einkauf und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir haben für Ausflüge einen Kleinwagen am Airport gebucht. Parkplätze sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

The house is very spacious, clean and comfortable and the view from the roof is amazing. It could be a little chilly in the winter evenings but there are heaters, blankets etc. The location is perfect for exploring Valetta and surroundings. The ferry is five minutes away - you can see the house from the ferry terminal - and it's a lovely 5 minute journey across the harbour to Valetta. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants within walking distance and we also found a convenience store. The neighbourhood is pleasant and quiet- although we were there in the winter. You can also easily walk to the historic neighbourhoods of Birgu and Senglea.

Dieses Townhouse ist der perfekte Platz, um Malta zu erleben. Marsaxlokk ist ein ursprünglicher Fischerort mit freundlichen Maltesern, guten Fischrestaurants und Bars und zwei kleinen, aber feinen Stränden, die vom Haus bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Zu anderen Städten und interessanten Orten kann man von Ortruds Haus aus schnell mit einem der vielen Busse gelangen, die kreuz und quer über die Insel fahren. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig ausgestattet, es gibt viel Platz und besonders gut haben uns der Balkon und die gemütliche Küche gefallen. Auch die Bilder , die Ortruds Vater gemalt hat, haben uns fasziniert.

This house is amazing! It is very big and has all the amenities you might need, plus something extra like books and music. The location is good too, as it's very close to the beach, to restaurants, and a supermarket.
