This is such an amazing place. I have always had a penchant for the Central Otago area, landscapes and architecture. All aspects of Kathryn’s place is the absolute epitome of everything I love about the area. It was such a treat to spend 4 days surrounded by such unique beauty (inside and out). There is nothing I could suggest to improve our experience (husband and adult son). I 100% recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and genuine Central Otago experience. By the way, the location is also perfect and tucked away from maddening crowds and tourists (like us).

Such a nice place in an amazing part of New Zealand. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings, lots of walks and nice places to eat very close by. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Arrowtown.

Thanks for the wonderful but short stay. Nice property in a beautiful setting walkable distance to Millbrook and close to Ayrburn and Arrowtown. Very well stocked house with everything you need.

Photos don’t do the view justice. Jeremy was a great host. This is a cabin type experience. We stayed in the winter and used the cottage as a home base for skiing and other activities which was great. Quick ride over to Arrowtown and Queenstown but far away enough to feel private and peaceful. Some important points regarding previous reviews I read about the place being “cold”…the ground floor is all slate stone…as Jeremy recommended, just bring some sandals or slippers to wear around. There is a large heat pump, a lovely pot belly stove, and space heaters and all the beds have blanket heaters which we actually didn’t use because they were too hot…so it’s easy to stay warm and the view and coziness are well worth it, but if you’re expecting a thermostat in a hotel room that you set and leave…this wouldn’t be the place for you. We loved our stay and the host was very responsive.

We loved our stay at Maori Point vineyard! The cottage was stunning, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more as a family of 3! The vineyard itself is gorgeous, and we enjoyed a walk to the river as well as a leisurely wine tasting (without worrying about driving) at a small discount. The night sky was beautiful here too due to hardly any light pollution. Highly recommended.

Would happily stay at Kieran’s place again. Has everything you could need along with great views of the lake and easy walking distance to the heritage precinct. Kieran was also a wonderful host who kept in touch to ensure everything was perfect.

It’s not often I’m lost for words. What an incredible, magical property. It’s very private, hidden amongst the trees. The architecture is something else - absolutely unique and rustic. Lots of intriguing details and a wonderful leather couch draped with sheepskins. The lovely hosts were super welcoming. We enjoyed exploring the property.

My husband and I stayed here and it was an amazing experience. Upon arrival, we were met by Tony, Ginny’s husband. He was so nice and welcoming, and gave us some great tips on things to see while we were in Queenstown. Tony - if you’re reading, we saw the Southern Cross in Lake Tekapo! The place itself was incredibly clean, beautifully furnished and the views were spectacular. Each night we sat in the hot tub for sunset and then checked out all the stars overhead. Ginny and Tony also made our stay extra special, leaving out delicious treats, nice robes and fresh flowers. While it’s so close to town, the place seems so peaceful and remote when you’re there. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up extending our stay by a night. If you’re visiting Queenstown, 20/10 would recommend

Tony went above and beyond for us. We arrived very late from cycling in and Tony had got some of the most delicious pies for us as the town had closed already. Very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back!
