Fantastiskt hus och natur med mycket vilda djur på stor mark. (påfåglar, fladdermöss) Hundarna är ett problem för mig som är hundrädd vilket drar ner upplevelsen något då de både skäller på natten och strövar runt poolen på dagarna. (notera: De är snälla) Servicen och personalen på plats va hjälpsamma och snälla. Vi älskade kvällsbad i poolen, en fin promenad ner till stranden och ett avlägset privat boende med autentisk känsla. AC på rummet är ett måste, fint att det fanns. Vi älskade Polhena och matlagningskursen i Sambol Garden.

With Sunil as host we always felt safe and relaxed in the house. We had service from the staff 24/7 if we wanted. The breakfast was amazing and Sunil listened to our requests. We never left the breakfast hungry 😋. He fixed us breakfast boxes even when we left as early as 04:00 in the morning. Sunil has a background as travel guide and can help you on site with local arrangements. Even though the ocean is quite wild the beach had few people and you felt sometimes that you were alone on the beach. You can’t lay on your back and float around because of the wave’s that never ends. If you want that you need to take a 200 meter walk on the beach or a tuktuk 5 minutes to a big calm beach, Unawatuna.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der einzigartigen Unterkunft von Vincent! Die Unterkunft war sogar noch schöner auf den Bildern und der Pool war das Highlight. Wir haben alle Möglichkeiten genutzt , zb die Massage nebenan und auch das Frühstück und Abendessen. Alles war spitze! Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder :)

Wir hatten einen wirklich wundervollen Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft ist so viel schöner, als auf den Bildern und die Lage ist einfach toll. Man hat Blick auf die Reisfelder und die verschiedenen Tiere, die dort leben. Die Villa ist so bedacht an die Umgebung angepasst gebaut, dass man mit den Tieren gemeinsam dort lebt. Im Außen- Badezimmer hat sogar ein Vogel seine Eier in einem Nest gebrütet- einfach toll! Wir haben und sehr wohl und sehr umsorgt gefühlt, Charith der Haushälter hat sich toll um uns gekümmert und seine Kochkünste sind phänomenal. Er hat uns auf Anfrage Abendessen gekocht& es war das beste Essen, dass wir in der gesamten Urlaubszeit in Sri Lanka hatten. Das Frühstück war auch himmlisch. Tagsüber- nachmittags /abends wird die Villa zusätzlich noch von einem anderen Angestellten dort überwacht, sodass wir nicht jedes mal alle Türen abschließen mussten und ganz sorglos Ausflüge machen konnten. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank!

Beautiful big villa just outside Galle fort. 5 mins by tuktuk. Spacious bedrooms and a large pool. Excellent food too. We were very well looked after. The house is on a quiet street with not much within walking distance so need to tuktuk everywhere.

Beautiful property with a big pool and a great bar area. The comfy bedrooms made for a wonderful night's sleep. Dilan and his family were incredibly kind and hospitable, always ensuring we were comfortable. He provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see in the area. We only stayed one night and wished we had stayed longer. Highly recommend! We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Cecilia’s place. The house is just as described, literally right on the beach with the picturesque Indian Ocean right at the back door of the house. We were well looked after by Sasha and Praboth and had delicious meals. Would definitely stay again.

We made Araliya our home base for the month of February, coming and going depending on our itinerary. We loved our stay at the house, which is located in a quiet residential area but close enough to the bustle of Colombo. The rooms/bathrooms were spacious and clean, the living room area was airy and comfortable, and the pool was nice. Being able to use the clothes washer was great as we had a little one. The hosts were courteous and responsive to questions we had about the house/stay. What made this home absolutely exceptional is Lalith the caretaker. He cooked delicious meals, prepared tea/coffee, made sure that the essentials (water, etc.) were supplied, helped with organizing taxis if needed, and was considerate to my family when they visited the house. We truly appreciated his care and will miss his homemade crab curry! We highly recommend this place.

Nous avons passé 8 jours merveilleux dans la superbe maison de Nayan. si vous rêvez d'une superbe villa de 220 m2 sur la plage, au milieu des cocotiers, loin de la foule touristique,alors n'hésitez pas, venez chez Nayan. Pradeep et sa femme seront au petit soin pour vous, il se ferons un plaisir de faire vos courses , cuisiner vos repas, d'entretenir le jardin et la piscine. Martinez saura vous conseiller, que ce soit pour vos achats,vos déplacements,ou vos visites, vous n'avez plus qu'à vous laissez vivre. Merci à Nayan de m'avoir fait découvrir cet endroit paradisiaque, qui pour moi est la plus belle, la plus agréable, des 5 villas que nous avons loué pendant notre séjour de 6 semaines. C'est promis nous reviendrons.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in Kumbalgama und haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Kalsara und seine Eltern waren jederzeit erreichbar und halfen gerne mit Tipps. Sie haben sogar einmal für uns gekocht, sodass wir uns sehr heimische gefühlt haben. Lediglich der Lärm von der Straße ist ein kleiner Wermutstopfen, wofür jedoch der Gastgeber nichts kann.

Lovely base for a family - so handy with a highchair, cot and toys! Anna was easy to communicate with and the place was as described. There were restaurants nearby. Only slight thing was it’s only fans not air con, so it was quite warm in the days but fine at night

A beautiful place in an awesome location with private access to a stunning beach. We loved our stay and the staff were extremely helpful and cooked great dishes both for breakfast and dinner.

We felt right at home from check in until departure. Shanika place is immaculate, an haven to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Spotless clean, high speed internet, hot water, and well equipped kitchen. Shanika is very detailed and provided all the information I needed for my arrival. It was a seamless process. Warmest welcome from Chaminda and Velu. They were so accommodating, we didn’t feel like guests more like family at home. Had the pleasure of meeting her mum and a lovely treat on Sunday morning. Experienced coconut plucking and drank fresh coconut juice for breakfast. Was an epic experience waking up birds chirping and enjoying a cup of coffee in the stunning garden. I highly recommend Shanika place. Thank you so much for making our stay pleasant, comfortable and so memorable.

Myself and my family spent five nights in August Beach House. It was the perfect place to chill out for a few days with everyone and surf. The house is right on the beach and the back garden gate opens onto the beach where there there are plentiful surf rental shacks and surf lessons to be had. The house benefits from a large shaded private garden and lots of communal space inside. Each bedroom has AC and an en-suite. There is also a private pool which was great for the kids and to cool down from the mid afternoon heat. Weligama is a good beginner location for surfing and I imagine there are more advanced surfing locations nearby and lots of bars and restaurants on the main strip although we tended to go to the same one or two places. Special mention to the August Beach House staff who made breakfast and did laundry, we did not want them to clean our bedrooms each day but they offered to do so! All round perfect house for chilling out and surfing on your doorstep.

Am booked in for one week, only a five min walk to the beach. It’s ideally located and has a great open space garden area. You don’t hear any traffic only the sounds of mother nature. The room is spacious and the en suite bathroom has a nice shower. A kettle and basic crockery are provided. There’s ample storage space, plug sockets and space to hang your clothes. It’s very affordable and immaculately clean. The mattress is very comfortable and the ceiling fan keeps you cool throughout the night. There’s a washing machine on the property and the host is very accommodating and kind. The dogs greet you upon returning home. Chathura the host has expert knowledge of the surrounding area and is only too happy to assist you. He’s the consummate host, a well deserved five stars.

Amazing house with even prettier garden! You have a place for yourself, away from the street but close enough to the supermarket (2 mins) and the beach (1,2 km). The place is calm, private, you can really enjoy your stay in peace and calm. For this amazing price I don't think we could find a better place to stay!

Lovely property in the suburbs of Colombo! Perfect for a small group of friends and family of 4-5 people. Extremely spacious rooms with well thought out furniture and fittings and to top it all off a large patio to unwind and chill.

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ces quelques jours chez Nilu. Jolie maison, joli jardin, Nilu et sa famille on été très accueillants. Idéalement située, à quelques minutes de kabalana beach dans un quartier légèrement en retrait de l’effervescence de la côte. Merci !!

We had a wonderful week at Dor’s with our two small children. The location was perfect and we could walk to both Hiriketiya and Dickwella beaches easily, and the house felt peaceful. Saman was always on hand to help with things which made everything much easier. The path up to the house had been fixed so we found it easy to move around with our buggy. Beds were incredibly comfy and there was plenty of room for us all on the huge sofa. Our elder son particularly enjoyed using the ‘jungle shower’!

Upul’s beautiful property is the perfect location to unwind after a long flight. It’s close to the airport so we were sitting round the pool within a couple of hours landing. The lovely housekeeper Saja deserves a special mention as she was so helpful and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Saja cooked a delicious curry for us on our first night and on our second and final night we went just next door to the newly opened Crab Cove Restaurant which is highly recommended. Upul’s communication throughout was outstanding and he always responded to my many queries before and after we travelled sometimes within seconds! The property itself is stunning backing onto a lagoon and we took a boat trip out to Monkey Island which was very enjoyable especially as we were collected and dropped off at the bottom of the garden. It was the perfect place to get over our sleepless flight - a beautiful and peaceful location to start our Sri Lankan adventure. Thank you Upul, Saja and Gaya for everything!

Dhanushka is a great host, he and his family made us feel so welcome. Communication was great and there were no problems in the month that we stayed there. It was a real experience of the local Sri Lankan village life and we loved it, especially Dhanushka’s family and our wonderful neighbours across the street.

The property is delightful and we felt right at home as we walked in. As the house is just opposite a beach early morning walks enjoying the sights and watching the fishermen bringing in their catch was a wonderful experience. The house and garden are very well maintained and the caretaker provided us with delicious meals on request. Suhirtha the caretaker is only a phone call away and was very responsive in sorting out any problem that arose. In short we really enjoyed our stay.

We booked 'A place' for a group of 6. The place was exactly as seen in pictures. 'Dilan' - the host was always available for questions. He gave us a good tour and encouraged to use all the amenities. The home caretaker 'Anusha' was on the property 24*7 and available to assist in the group activities and daily chores. We were also introduced to a local guide 'Champika' who virtually got everything done for us. Since, we didn't speak Singalese, Dilan and Champika made sure all our needs were taken care of. Over all: - Great place and Stay - Friendly and helpful Host - Excellent care taker and his availability - Very reliable and trustworthy people - No hidden charges or trying to squeez extra It was a wonderful experience over all. I highly recommend this place for a Professional meeting, Family or friends get together. Nice and Quite with access to the beach right there!! And most importantly - 'Friendly, trustworthy and reliabile' people for a stay in a foreign country!!!
