I booked the home for 6 adults and 2 kids, and we had a wonderful 5 day stay. We spent our days swimming in the pool (long enough for laps!); lounging by the pool drinking tea or reading or playing board games; indulging in the most delicious meals cooked by Manjula; listening to the waves crash on the beach that’s a small coconut grove away; or taking naps in the comfortable beds in our airy bedrooms, which were beautifully decorated. Evocative of the Geoffrey Bawa style (a Murad Ismail masterpiece), this style of home may be the best way to enjoy all that Sri Lanka offers. The garden is beautiful. We rarely saw any mosquitos (I still sprayed my kids), despite us spending most of our time in the open veranda/lounge by the pool. Manjula is an excellent chef and cooked a bday lunch for 20. All of my Sri Lankan relatives - the toughest food critics of all - loved his food. Crab curry, hoppers, kotthu roti, chicken curry done 3 ways, butter cake, we had it all! We hope to be back!

We spent a week at Gaya and Jagath’s lovely property and the standout was the stunning garden which turned out to be a huge banana and coconut plantation. The grounds are immaculately kept by the staff who live on site who are there 24/7 for any requests but they allow you your privacy. Jagath was extremely helpful communicating before we travelled and was on hand for my multiple questions. We stayed in the 2-bed bungalow (there is also a larger villa on the property) but the bungalow easily had the best views of the garden and I thoroughly enjoyed taking my morning coffee onto the verandah to watch the birds & peacocks. The bungalow itself is fairly basic in decor and could possibly benefit from a bit of colour on the inside walls but I understand this is a work in progress. We made good use of the bbq and a special shout-out to Hiran who is the local tuk-tuk driver and took us everywhere. Shanti-Shanti is a must for the location, tiger prawns and rope swing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING

Wir haben nur eine Nacht in der Villa verbracht, aber unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Die Eltern von Champ sind super herzliche und liebe Menschen, die uns ein fabelhaftes Frühstück gezaubert haben und uns sogar netterweise noch Proviant für unsere Zugfahrt eingepackt haben. Die Villa ist sehr beeindruckend und eine kleine ruhige Oase mitten in der Stadt. Kandy ist zu Fuß in etwa 30min erreichbar. Wir hatten das unterste Zimmer mit dem Pool direkt am Eingang, daher war man nicht so privat wie erwartet. Das Zimmer war aber sehr sauber und ordentlich.

Alesa et Constance sont des hôtes super professionnels, à l'écoute, réactif et très sympathiques. Leur Villa très bien placée, à à peine 10 min de Hikkaduwa , la ville où se trouvent les boutiques, restaurants et plages. De plus ils tiennent un des très bon restaurant de Hikkaduwa ou nous avons mangé à 2 reprises et nous nous sommes régalé. merci pour votre gentillesse et votre écoute.

We had the most wonderful family Christmas at Villa Olu. The villa exceeded our expectations - the photos don’t do it justice! It was the most perfect setting for relaxing, having fun, playing games and not to mention the incredible family meals prepared and cooked by Kumara and Nadi!Experiencing the delicious traditional Sri Lankan cuisine was a huge highlight. Kumara could not do enough to help us - book tuk tuks, arrange massages at the villa and arrange transport. The villa is incredibly peaceful yet only ten minutes from Galle where we enjoyed visiting shops, sites and cafes. We would not hesitate to stay at Villa Olu again, what a super family holiday!

The place is exactly how it looks in the pictures. It is calm, clean and so peaceful. The bentota beach is like a 5 min drive, there are plenty river safari options, we took on on their recommendations. The breakfast was awesome and the hospitality was top notch. The house is so beautiful with so much of green all around that makes you feel calm. Recommended place for anyone coming to Bentota and looking for a great place with awesome hosts !

Et fantastisk flott sted! Kan vanskelig beskrives, må absolutt oppleves. Christian og alle som jobbet i huset var helt enormt serviceminded og det var ikke den ting som ikke kunne ordnes. Christian besvarte alle våre henvendelser ( og det var mange) han hjalp oss med alt fra utflukter til massasje og pedikyr levert til villaen. Huset er pent og velholdt med en fantastisk hage. Basseng og elven som fløt forbi var helt supert for nedkjøling. Kan virkelig ikke få gitt Christian og personalet nok gode tilbakemeldinger. Ønsker dere en sømløs, fantastisk og avslappende ferie med en av Airbnb sine beste verter så er Villa Vehalla stedet! Vi var i to uker og kunne gjerne vært to uker til! Kommer gjerne tilbake.

Villa很漂亮，很有特色，Tia和斯里兰卡的服务生都很热情友好，帮助我们很多！意外之喜是villa晚上到处是萤火虫，甚至在你的房间里也有萤火虫。

Phenomenal villa. Incredible views. The chef is superb and really makes the stay so good. We ate so well and felt so welcome. Really amazing place, would highly recommend.

Such a great place to stay when visiting Hikkaduwa. The location is great right on the beach with easy access to local spots and frequent tuk tuks around if you want to go further afield. The house staff were so so friendly and helpful and went over and above to make us welcome. The food they prepared was delicious and they all tried hard to play with my 4 year old boy, he loved them all. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

This is a truly unique home in a fantastic location with breathtaking views of the ocean. The design of the house is exquisite, crafted with great taste, style, and a soul of its own. Nissanka and Damith are incredibly hospitable, always ready to assist, guide, and organize anything for their guests. Their cooking is exceptional! We had an amazing time here. Sie haben wirklich alles getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Villa selbst war makellos, komfortabel und mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, die wir uns nur wünschen konnten. Die Lage war perfekt, um Ruhe zu genießen und gleichzeitig die Umgebung zu erkunden. Suresh und Manel waren immer zur Stelle, wenn wir Fragen hatten oder Hilfe benötigten, und ihre Freundlichkeit und Professionalität haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. We had an amazing family trip with our young children and parents at this absolutely beautiful location. Everything was just perfect—the property was stunning, direct access to the beach, incredibly clean, and well-maintained. The staff was exceptional, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food was incredible and they were so accommodating for the children who were being picky. We stayed for two nights but truly wish we had booked a longer stay. It was a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely return. Highly recommend!

Great property in a private local area but walking distance to restaurants, shops and beaches. We came for surfing and the host and property manager was very helpful and the waves in Ahangama were perfect and consistent every day. We like to cook so the kitchen and amenities were good. The pool was lovely to relax in during the afternoon when the winds were on shore. Security at night was also a bonus. Highly recommend.

This is a newly opened hotel and it’s one of the best we’ve stayed in. Room with plunge pool was amazing. Spotlessly clean and ultra modern. Owner was always around property and very amenable. We had to ask for smaller portions at breakfast as we were being served a huge amount. Walk over the river and go across the road and there is a tuk tuk stand that will take you to Mirissa or the surf centre in Weligama for 600 rupees each way. Overall we were sad to be leaving .

Our stay at Kalava Villa was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—arranging tuk rides, stocking groceries, doing our laundry, and even booking in-villa massages. They were incredibly warm and attentive, and we felt so well taken care of the entire time. The daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and every little detail was thoughtfully handled. The villa itself is stunning—beautifully designed, modern, and impeccably maintained. Everything worked perfectly, and both the house and outdoor spaces, including the pool, were pristine. The location was also ideal, with Ahangama and nearby Midigama and Weligama offering some of the most beautiful beaches and best surf spots. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

This was my first time booking an Air BnB in Sri Lanka, and I'm so glad I chose Aminva Boutique Villa. It was the perfect weekend getaway for my group of friends! Valentina was really helpful and responsive, the place was beautiful and had all necessary amenities for guests. We were impressed with the quality of maintenance of the villa! I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxing getaway.

The villa is in a beautiful surroundings, overlooking a rice field. The villa is very spacious with swimming private pool. We thouroughly enjoyed out stay here. Christa was very helpful. The helper onsite is really very helpful, and responsive. Only negative I would say is it was far from attractions and main city. Beach is around 4 kms and getting a transport here is a challenge. Booking vehicles in advance to move around could help. The approach road is narrow around 100 mts from the main road.

We had a wonderful stay at Chamila's place. While situated a ways off Weligama beach it was very lush and private with beautiful jungle-like surroundings, and even though transportation could sometimes be a little difficult to come by (not to mention drivers sometimes had difficulties with navigation), in practice it was only about a 6-8 minutes drive from the beach/city centre. The area is pretty crowded with stray dogs and - while they were friendly - a couple dogs were always waiting outside the gates when we came and went. Overall we absolutely loved the place as well as the on-site pool, and we enjoyed the barbecue that was available to us. A definite bonus was the super-friendly neighbours who really were the cherry on top for our stay.

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft super wohl gefühlt! Es war alles sauber und wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Es war definitiv eine der besten Unterkünfte in Sri Lanka für uns. Das Reiningungspersonal war super nett, hat uns alles gezeigt und uns bestens versorgt, wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben. Wir können diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen, egal ob Familien mit Kindern oder auch jüngeren Reisegruppen. Die Lage ist ruhig und nicht weit vom Strand und dem beliebten Spot „Doctor House“ entfernt. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern verlief einwandfrei. Also alles in allem riesengroße Empfehlung!
