We've stayed in this area several times and David and Johanna's property was the most secluded with the additional of a large yard, tidal pond, small private beach area and new dock. The beds and linens were great and the heating system top notch since we were there when a cold front came through. The kitchen was the best stocked we've seen and we had everything we needed for a Thanksgiving meal. It is clear that the home still has a few renovations in the works but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay.

Ryan’s home was lovely. Perfect for our family. Ryan thought of every detail to make our stay seamless and relaxing. His home was clean and well kept, but the personal touches made it even more lovely. We will definitely be back.

Peace, comfort, beauty with every possible ammenity. Outstanding in every possible way. Everything about this home, area, and host is "the best". Every room is decorated beautifully. The beds are extremely comfortable, all furniture is clean, cozy and perfect. Watching the water and associated wildlife/birdlife from the deck and/or kitchen/living rooms was amazing---swans, geese, ducks. We were here off season and the neighbors were kind, friendly and fun. We walked all around the island, again off season, so it was slow and easy to walk the road. Along our walk, we enjoyed the local farm life, as a few folks had turkeys, rosters, Emus and dogs. Just a perfect get-away.

We loved coming and staying here for spring break! We checked out fossil beach at West Moreland State Park and some other local spots. When we weren’t out we were chilling at the house playing games in the kitchen or outside on the dock. I will say it was a bit confusing that one of the rooms is separated from the rest of the house but other than that it was perfect!

We spent Thanksgiving here and it was truly special. The house was very spacious for 2 families. The teenagers (and adults) loved having the pool table right next to the living room/TV. The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was relaxing under the stars. For being a house from 1889, everything was well taken care of, including the dock and grounds. We would definitely stay again!

An extraordinary place to rest & recharge. The views, the comfort of the home, and the gorgeous walking trails, through woods & beach are a perfect combination. Everything we needed & then some.

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing weekend at this cabin. The property is stunning, offering both breathtaking views and a wide range of activities. The karaoke was a highlight, and we thoroughly enjoyed the games in the basement. This cabin is the perfect retreat for spending quality time with family and friends. We’re already looking forward to returning!

Absolutely perfect! Historic home that is just lovely and perfectly updated. We loved the home and all the history of the house was fun to read. Very quiet location and the sunset views were spectacular. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake for family meals. Home was tidy and well thought out. Layout was great with guests having their own baths and spacious for everyone to be together or find a spot for reading/relaxing. We enjoyed the fire places on chilly nights and wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Perfectly decorated home and very comfortable. Was immaculate and one of our fav stays!

We had a wonderful stay at the Rivah house. it's a beautiful location and kayaks are provided. there's also a full kitchen, lots of sleeping space, and a big tv. A great place to enjoy time in the water and see a beautiful and lesser known part of Virginia.

Suuuuch a beautiful place. Beautiful stay. The hosts made everything 10xs better. Everything was super clean. Stayed for Thanksgiving and realized we forgot our turkey blaster and couldn’t find one at the house (the one thing they didn’t have because they had everything!). After mentioning it to the hosts, we had one delivered in less than 30 min. Can’t say enough about them and their attentiveness. Will be back!

We loved our stay at KJ’s property and will absolutely be back again! The house was perfect for a weekend family getaway with beautiful views and lots of things to do at the property itself - you really never need to leave! Meticulously clean, great fire pit, lots of outdoor seating and an overall very private location. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing experience!

Impeccable experience! This Airbnb, and hosts Tim and Christie, thought of everything! The house is filled with pristine, beautiful linens, the most comfortable beds I've ever experienced in a rental, and more. Memory foam mattresses in all bedrooms, fluffy down pillows, and plenty of blankets. The sofa was super comfortable, and the large screen TV was a smart TV, so we could continue to watch our shows easily. The kitchen was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed to cook at the Airbnb. Everything looks and feels brand new at the house. The home is bright and airy, and the layout is just perfect. The bedroom in the loft was really nice to have. We slept extremely comfortably every night. The neighborhood is quiet, and the water is absolutely breathtaking. We would absolutely recommend this Airbnb 100%.. would love to return to this beautiful Airbnb. I could not give this a higher recommendation! :-)

We had a wonderful stay! The home was just as described with all of the listed amenities. Kyle gave clear, concise directions and was very responsive. Property is quietly tucked way and is right on the water, which is a nice feature.

Great location, very peaceful area, we really enjoyed the hot tub and fishing the lake during our stay, great hosts overall 😁

Rachel’s place was Awesome! The water view, pier, fire pit and house made us feel at home. We were in town for a funeral and Rachel was very accommodating. With check in and check out. Our family grew up in piney point just a short distance away and we were able to reminisce and site see of the past. The ruddy duck restaurant on the island was a great place to gather after. Thanks again!!

Linda was a great host! She explained everything in detail about the property and surroundings. The property had amazing views (we thought it looked even better in person than in photos). The house was spotless and kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed. Both the grill and blackstone had gas in the tanks (we’ve been to places with empty grill cylinders). If you’re looking for somewhere that’s laid back, cozy, and has a private beach, this is the place! Thank you Linda!

Just a stunning location! The bird watching was marvelous, every morning a pair of swans landed and swam around until dusk. Lots of blue herons, too. Good fishing right out of the back yard. The kitchen was very well appointed, good cookware, plates, cups, etc. bed were comfortable with really nice pillows. We spent most of our time around the fire pit or on the screened porch. A great place for relaxing!

We absolutely love this spot! Second time here and it’s the perfect mix of family friendly and peaceful for the parents. Kids could hang downstairs or near the pier while we relaxed in the family room and screened in porch. Can’t say enough about this home away from home!

We had a wonderful time staying at Teresa's cabin. Getting out of our city environment to visit the beautiful private beach within the neighborhood was the cherry on top. Our favorite room in the cabin was the sun porch. We ate a dozen steamed crabs from Captain Smith's Seafood (15 minutes away) in that room. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and private. We definitely intend to visit here again. Thank you, Teresa.

We had such a peaceful fun time at Pizza Friday! So close to st.Mary’s campus so it was very easy for frequent trips back and forth during our stay. Highly recommend and I hope to stay there again in the future.

We loved our stay! Communication was really clear and super responsive, especially when there were some power issues due to a storm nearby. It's such a great cabin and a fantastic location. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use and we loved the outside space.
