Very nice place to stay! We loved the layout of the house and having the private dock. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed. Was nice to be out a little way from the city, but yet an easy drive in to do our touring. Also, Slidell was only about 10 minutes away to get groceries, eat out, etc. We had an awesome family vacation!

Our family had an amazing stay at this property! It was exceptionally clean, spacious, and perfect for a getaway. With two available rooms, it’s great for larger groups. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the atmosphere was peaceful and comfortable. Michele and Chad were incredibly kind and generous, always ensuring we had everything we asked for. They even took us kayaking and boating, which made for a truly memorable experience—especially for our son, who had a fantastic time. They also shared great recommendations about the area, including the best restaurants to visit. We enjoyed a barbecue together and spent time in the pool, which was spotless. Even the house had a fresh, clean scent that made it feel even more welcoming. We highly recommend this place and would definitely return!

We loved our stay at Pelican Pier! Everything on the property was as beautiful as the pictures, all amenities were exactly as outlined, and there were many thoughtful touches offered by the host to encourage maximum enjoyment of the waterfront property. We have 4 boys (ages 8-14) and they loved the dock. We caught crabs, went fishing, and played on the small sand beach. It was too cold and windy to kayak but it was very tempting. The house has just enough common space and very nice bedroom arrangements for a family. Bringing an extra adult couple would have also worked. The house is not in a populated area - which we felt was part of the appeal! Slidell is close enough for quick trips. Downtown New Orleans is a 45 min drive but reasonable for day trips. We would definitely consider this property again if going to NOLA again.

A super clean and relaxing Airbnb.

This entire experience was so special! It was my husband's 75th birthday and we arrived to balloon decorations, candles, and blowers!The "Glass House" was exquisite, beautifully designed, inside and out, giant windows on 2 sides with views. Erik paid such attention to every detail and responded immediately to every concern we had and checked in periodically by Airbnb communication. His directions on how to navigate to this location, instructions/manuals for each product, and info on suggested restaurants/attractions were in abundance.

This house was perfect for our family. Lots of space inside and outside. They had a stocked kitchen with everything we needed.

Great stay with Tammie and the beautiful property. Candles were even dropped off in case of inclement weather. We felt very peaceful enjoying our special day!

My family and I had a great getaway at the Bolo Birdhouse. It was beautiful inside and out. We had so much fun exploring the trails and roasting s’mores around a campfire. Seeing the stars and listening to the wildlife was so peaceful! Marvin was very friendly and quickly responsive to any questions.

We went to celebrate two of our birthdays and it was a great getaway! Bill answered all of our questions before we arrived, and sent us detailed instructions for how to get there. Home was an easy drive from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, and was easy to find. You can see their deer and blueberry fields out of the window- and the kids loved feeding the deer. Easy to navigate hiking trails, fishing pond, picturesque views, and boats made our outdoor adventures fun and great for pictures. The fireplace made it extra cozy, and bathrooms were clean and large. Spiral staircase is a bit tricky, so just be sure the people using the two bedrooms upstairs are ok with steep, windy stairs. Other than that it was a fantastic stay and would highly recommend!

This place is absolutely beautiful, if you love nature. Being able to walk out the front door and hear nature is the most peaceful vacation we could have asked for. The place was very clean, and we loved the small touches inside of the cabin.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful getaway! We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon down by the private beach area. Easy to find with the coordinates provided. Will was always very responsive to any questions and willing to assist in any way possible. The home is very modern and cozy. Had everything we needed. Did not disappoint!

Staying at David's property is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to relax and enjoy time with family. Traveling from Brandon, Florida, to Bogalusa, Louisiana, is a big change, but it’s definitely worth it. The property is very family-friendly, with something for everyone—from toddlers to young adults—and plenty of room for adults to unwind, socialize, or even get some work done. I highly recommend David's place; both the staff and other guests are friendly, respectful, and helpful.
