A wonderful little cottage which was in a peaceful, tranquil location. It was cosy, spotlessly clean and matched the photos and description perfectly. Linnett was a great host, very communicative.

Very cosy, warm, clean cottage. 3 mile walk up cycle track to Thor’s cave, 3 mile walk back over the top - stunning scenery. Hot tub one night was perfect, even had another dip again in the morning as still warm! Lovely hosts, a home made cake on the table for arrival - went down very well with the kids! Thanks for a wonderful few days.

We had a great stay with three families. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and we were lucky enough with the weather to be outside for the whole weekend. We made use of the garden and the great walks literally from the door . Close to Buxton too. Highly recommend.

We had a great weekend at Millstone cottage , a lovely place spotlessly clean ,warm , everything we needed was provided by Jill. The location is idyllic by the river and so peaceful ,the hot tub is a bonus. We will definitely book again and highly recommend this place to others.

Fantastic views and very comfortable and peaceful stay too. The bikes available for borrowing made for a great activity day and we made use of the fresh herbs available in the courtyard for cooking.

Lovely place to stay, it was beautifully clean and very cozy. The hot tub was lovely. Would definitely recommend. Only issue we found was parking was a bit tricky outside the cottage as there were a lot of cars and the door was a bit difficult to lock/ unlock.

The most beautiful air bnb we’ve stayed in. Peaceful and private location. The sauna, jacuzzi and ice pool were amazing. Couldn’t recommend more!

This cottage is absolutely fantastic and one of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and quality fixtures and fittings are amazing. We had a fantastic time at the cottage, tucked away off the main road and many walks from the cottage. We can recommend the cottage for a family or friends with three lovely bedrooms and dog friendly as well. A great kitchen and snug lounge with a log burner. Simon was a great host and communication was first rate. We will definitely like to come back

We had the most wonderful weekend at Helen's cottage. Every detail was thoughtfully curated with guests in mind. From the homemade bread, muesli, welcome snacks, and locally sourced produce to the selection of beer, wine, and spirits available for purchase—it was perfect for when, after a long hike, you just can't face the thought of heading to the shops (even though they’re just down the road). All these little touches made our stay feel extra special. This is an absolute gem and we hope to return again soon. Thank you Helen!

A great peaceful getaway in a beautiful old traditional farmhouse. Only sounds was the animals and birds which was amazing. The farmhouse was well equipped and had some beautiful touches. Old paintings , original beams and a quirky kitchen with beautiful tiles and the biggest sink ever. The house was lovely and warm and the complimentary fresh eggs and milk were delicious 😋 All in all fantastic, would definitely recommend and return xxxx

Fantastic clean and homely cottage, very well equipped kitchen with more than enough appliances, large collection of books and games, lovely wood burner in cosy lounge area with comfy seats, upstairs to lovely spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and also a lovely sun lounge off the landing, all in all a great cottage in a lovely local area, would definitely recommend it, well done Keith & Sheena loved the stay

My partner and I had a short stay at "Fred's Shed" and had a wonderful time. Our hosts were very accommodating, welcoming and put in lots of homey touches like a drawer full of breakfast foods and essentials in the fridge. The location was perfect, never more than 30 mins from all the hiking routes and nearby towns. The cottage was very snug but was part of the charm. Great value for money

Superb lovely 2 night stay. Would highly recommend, I think the place is bigger than the pictures show. Very cosy, everything we needed and beautiful surroundings. Walk to the Roaches not far at all. Just what we needed and will come again. Jane was superb from the off, very helpful, friendly and responsive.

Cosy accommodation, great location, lovely pubs close by and fantastic walks to do in the area. Room and host were great - very smooth process. Great breakfast provisions. Would very happily stay again!

We have been here a while due to house renovations , Nothing but 1st class service . Always helpful Always responsive Very very clean. Lots of clean linen . Location is stunning , watching the wildlife especially the “Kites” are awesome at dusk . Peaceful surroundings . Local pub food very good . Lots of walking and a handy book to help you find your way . Highly recommended .

Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

Black Cat Cottage was as described. We had issues with Airbnb messages containing the information about how to get to the cottage. We also broke down and arrived to the cottage quite late. Despite all of the issues we had, Chris was waiting for us and help us get there. He is a very responsive host. The cottage was lovely and the area amazing. We did the Lud’s Church hike, which I totally recomend. We would love to repeat our stay.

Great location. A lovely friendly pub down the road and perfect location for our trip to Alton Towers

John could not have been more interesting, interested, helpful and kind. The cottage is one-up (plus a shower room) and one-down, extremely well designed for two people and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need including detailed items like a vegetable peeler! Parking off the road is do-able (and John is pleased to help), but not for the faint-hearted with a medium or larger sized car! We would not hesitate to stay again if visiting this beautiful part of Derbyshire.

We had a great stay at Tagg cottage. Everything was squeaky clean and really cozy and comfy. Rebecca was a great host and got back to us straight away with answers to our questions. The added bonus of the best ice cream shop ever (boys’ words!) just next door was the cherry on the cake. Would definitely stay again if we’re in that area of the Peak District.

We enjoyed our stay very much and John and Vicky were great hosts. It’s a lovely place to stay if you like tranquility and peace with access to lots of great places to visit and super local walks.
