The property was clean, quirky and homely which was just what we expected. We already knew the location well and there were plenty of shops, eateries and supermarkets. It was just what our family needed to be together in the evenings after a family bereavement. Jane was lovely, friendly and very responsive despite being abroad at the time. There was everything you could wish for provided and a great dining room with drinks fridge for eating together. Thanks Jane for letting us stay in your unique home.❤️

We had a great stay at Benjamin’s house. Comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 4 children. Benjamin’s communication was excellent throughout. The house is lovely and the photos don’t do justice to the amount of space. Very well equipped. Bakewell town centre is under 5 minutes walk away. Playground and pub also very close. Located on a quiet cul de sac with enough space on the drive for three cars. Would highly recommend.

Holly was a lovely host, very responsive and great for local recommendations! Ideal location for exploring the peaks and surrounding areas.

We had the best stay at the house! My toddler didn’t want to leave! The amount of toys for him to play with was amazing!! His bedroom looked like a childs bedroom, lots of soft toys and toys to play with along with a dvd player and a tonne of kids dvds! The house was big, all bedrooms were an amazing size! We were very comfortable and happy! We all said this will be a base for future now! We come to the peaks every year! Kitchen was very well equipped, even has a slow cooker which we took advantage of! Nothing better than walking in after a long day to smell dinner ready to go! Rona was so lovely and very reactive to messages, when we got there we messaged about getting in and within a minute she was there in person! She also owns the shop next door with lovely gift bits in! Alot of which is made by her! Thank you!!

This place is absolute perfection, the loveliest treat for couples looking to have a few nights away. There was lots of helpful information like food recommendations, and Michelle even went the extra mile and grocery shopped breakfast stuff for us 🥹 The place was just beautiful, I can’t wait to be back!

It was so lovely to step into Jackie’s beautifully designed , sparkling clean and toasty warm barn. She has thought of everything you could possibly need , including a welcome pack full of lovely treats. We were there 2 nights - had the most fantastic pie in the Old Bull on Friday and curry in Bakewell on Saturday . Easy with Uber . To top it all she texted on Saturday with the offer of a 1200 check out on Sunday . Her communication throughout was brilliant . We would love to go back .

Couldn’t have asked for better facilities. Such a good set up for our multi generational family including young children. Felt relaxed and comfortable. A bright house with a private use garden. Thank you Emma.

I loved spending Christmas at this caravan. It was beautifully warm and cosy in a gorgeous location with lots of excellent walking routes. Lovely hosts make you feel so welcome too.

Great accommodation with good facilities. Surrounded by plenty of walks starting from straight outside the accommodation. Would recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Owl House! The property was beautiful, and the location was perfect—peaceful and serene, yet close enough to everything we needed. The host truly thought of everything, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The house itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything we could possibly need. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, providing the perfect place to unwind. Our dogs also had the best time running around the lovely grounds, which were safe and spacious for them to enjoy. It truly was a home away from home for both us and our teen daughters. The shower had recently been refurbished and was great! We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and highly recommend Owl House to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable retreat.

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse - the postcode took us to the farm, but the cottages were close by and easy to find. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and there was plenty of space for 10. The kids loved the swimming pool and football field. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Festively decorated and we had a nice welcome surprise on arrival. Check-in was super easy and we had quick replies with any queries we had. Comfy beds and vintage decor and furniture. Only negative was that I thought the radiator in the double room wasn’t working, until check out day when I realised it was just turned down to zero! So I was chilly most nights! 🤣. The swimming pool was great and we had it all to ourselves which was a bonus. I didn’t see the games room but friends kids that visited had a great time there. I would recommend and I would stay again for sure!

A Beautiful restoration of a 19th century chapel . My grandchildren thrived in the huge rooms & giant sofa & So many hiding places! My daughter relaxed in the pool & sauna . It was a perfect break Thankyou Samantha

My parents had a lovely few days in Margaret’s beautiful home in Ashbourne heights. Margaret was so helpful with any questions we had and was really kind. Her home is beautiful, so homely and comfortable. Ashbourne heights is a great place to stay and so much to do not far from the site. Will definitely be back again in the future and highly recommended. Thankyou so much Margaret x

I absolutely loved Lucy's home, its in a lovely area with the pub in walking distance , aswell as many others in local villages like Wirksworth and Matlock. This house had everything needed for a relaxing long weekend with the dog so couldn't recommend it enough. Thank you for being a brilliant host, I look forward to coming back soon

This is the second time we have stayed at Peakes Retreats in the Loft! Such a beautiful place with private hottub and garden area! The grounds are beautiful definitely will be returning again in the future.

Great cosy stay. Comfortable living room and well stocked kitchen, nice pub in walking distance, friendly hosts, short drive to local villages. Came with all the essentials for a short stay shower gel, coffee etc. Also very much appreciate check in times - it’s refreshing to find one Airbnb using the pre-COVID check in times (11am/3pm rather than 10am/4pm 🙄). Some lovely looking dogs and horses on site. Would stay again and 100% recommend!

This cottage is absolutely fantastic and one of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail and quality fixtures and fittings are amazing. We had a fantastic time at the cottage, tucked away off the main road and many walks from the cottage. We can recommend the cottage for a family or friends with three lovely bedrooms and dog friendly as well. A great kitchen and snug lounge with a log burner. Simon was a great host and communication was first rate. We will definitely like to come back

What a beautiful place!! I would definitely stay again and we are looking for our next weekend away where we can stay here, very friendly, beautiful surroundings, I have recommended to my family and friends. we didn’t take a dog but could see how this would appeal to someone who does. Space was spotless and beautiful views all round, easy instructions to find the place and a recommendations book for everything you can do mostly within walking distance which was an amazing touch, thank you to the hosts for sharing this beautiful place!!

Superb lovely 2 night stay. Would highly recommend, I think the place is bigger than the pictures show. Very cosy, everything we needed and beautiful surroundings. Walk to the Roaches not far at all. Just what we needed and will come again. Jane was superb from the off, very helpful, friendly and responsive.

Ian was very helpful and welcoming and the annexe was lovely and had lots of little extras that made the stay fantastic. It was easy to find and had good off road parking. The surrounding area is nice and has a great walk alongside the canals.
